   The menu especially for brunch appears to be fantastic, but ends like they are trying to reinvent dishes that don’t need to be reinvented. Example is the hash; order it and you’ll understand.

   This was one of the most aesthetically pleasing restaurants I have ever dined at. Beautiful restored building with amazing plant walls. Food was modern and fresh. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend!!

   Trout spread & meatball apps were great. Steak & fish crisp entrees were average. Server was attentive, a little too much at times. Decor is interesting.

   While the decor is beautiful with all the plants, the food is a disappointment. the trout pate' was good , but the rest only so/so.

   Atmosphere is very nice. Live music, lots of plants and shade. Food options were slim. My fish was very dry with too much breading and fried too long. I now think of this as more of a hang out, get a drink and app place

   I was told by a friend this place was so great and I wouldn’t be disappointed. So I chose this place over another option that I had in mind. I was surprisingly underwhelmed with everything, including our main dishes. The drinks were really great but once our server was overwhelmed, we were quickly forgotten about for sometime.

    Our Mothers Day dinner was lovely! The decor, as most reviews have said, is amazing! The beers were good, meatballs were small but delicious, garden salad had a nice light dressing and the chicken sliders were okay, but needed a little more flavor. Our server was great and it was a great experience.

    Went to Alcove for Mother's day brunch and decided to sit in the courtyard. There was a singer that had perfect volume such that we could still have a conversation. I had the quiche of the day which came with a green salad and hashbrown crouquettes and my wife had the hash. We both had a signature cocktail that was fantastic. My server wasn't great but another server saw I needed something and offered help.

    The trout was very good as always. I was disappointed that the braised chicken sliders were pulled chicken, and was not impress. Frys were good. The apple cider was great. It is always a nice stop for a bite in OTR.

    Food was poorly described on the menu, and server was not very educated on offerings. Food arrived, wasn’t hot but barely warm. No seasoning or flavor to anything! Everyone’s meal was absolutely bland. Goetta tasted like nothing but burnt, wouldn’t have known what it was…same with hashbrown balls(?) - completely flavorless. The loaded hashbrown potatoes didn’t appear cooked whatsoever, and the egg on top was served scrambled which was not expected or explained. Poor food experience all around, unfortunately will not return.

    Usually love this place but last nite 2 in our party ordered the roasted chicken and it was awful! Dry and tasteless. Overcooked. Very disappointing. Will probably not go back

    Michael was our server and he was outstanding. We always chat with Ben the manager when we go and get a growler filled after our FCC soccer game. My portion of salmon was a little smaller and my husband loves the wagu burger but found the replacement great also. They loved the wagu meatballs though. U gotta get the 1873 lager, soo smoothe!!

    Ambience was very good! Some of our food was very good and some was ok. Nothing was bad and service from wait staff was good but host seemed bothered by our reservation and presence. Would definitely go back

    Very nice venue. We had a great server. Excellent starters and entrees. We were comped a beverage that didn’t suit us. But a number of the entrees were sold out…at 4 pm in the afternoon. We saw other reviewers note this. Sounds like they need a professional to manage inventory.

    Went to the Alcove by MadTree for Sunday brunch prior to my road trip back to South Carolina. Great food, excellent cocktails and superior service. I'll be back to try their lunch/dinner menus.

    We have been wanting to try alcove. Decided last minute to have a party of five after the Cincinnati Pops concert. They were out of several items on the menu, music was playing extremely loud, and food was less than adequate once it arrived. It is more of a bar for cocktails, than food.

    We were there celebrating college graduation. Good service. Nice drinks. Unfortunately they were out of half of the entrees and also out of dessert. Can’t imagine a restaurant running out of food on a Saturday evening. Server was great and apologetic. Not her fault. Management needs to better estimate for the future.

    Really great brunch spot with a good selection of cocktails and beer. The service was good and the food delicious. Highly recommend the goetta and loaded potato hash. The greenery everywhere is gorgeous, and it’s not too loud.

    Evelyn was our server/bartender and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the service we received. We participated in the Restaurant Week promotion and the dishes we chose from that menu were amazing. The beverage choices were extensive and we greatly enjoyed our craft beers.
