A welcoming neighborhood restaurant on the edge of Boston’s West End, Alcove is filled with comfortable American fare with a New England seafood flair & great cocktails from hospitality veteran Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli. Both the airy dining room and large patio look out onto the Charles River & provide spectacular views of the Zakim Bridge. Alcove recently welcomed the award-winning Chef Charles Draghi to the helm of the West End spot. Draghi, who closed his well-loved Bay Village endeavor, erbaluce, in 2018 after a decade-long run, brings his expertise and professionalism to the TD Garden-adjacent restaurant.     The restaurant was great! Our server and host was pleasant and efficient. We had a great time and highly recommend the restaurant. The quality of the food was also delicious.

    Waitress rude, manager worse - frankly outright arrogant. Had to literally seek out our drinks. Early reservations totally not worth it- this was my second try there. Will never return.

    Delicious food (raw bar was awesome!) and cool setting with awesome views of Zakim bridge. Very nice waitstaff who were a bit swamped so service was a tad slow but still a wonderful evening!

    Nice place. Beautiful spot on the pier. Fresh beer on tap. Crabcake was tiny expensive and undercooked. Decent flavor. Sauce was same Volume as cake. Better with 2 cakes or bigger single and fried or baked longer. Grilled cheese was good size a little bland and cheese was cold by the time we got it. Salad was plain lettuce. Fine but underwhelming. Burger was tasty. Small but good. Fries were excellent hot and fresh. Biggest takeaway was ambiance and prices suggested better food. Pubfood in a fancy dining room.

    The perfect place for a very good meal before an event at the Boston Garden. Attentive staff, really good menu, upbeat vibe and excellent location - a stones throw to the venue -- just what we were looking for. I'll be back.

    A lovely experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable, while the food was even better. My only complaint would be the portions on the cheese plate were very small. But we will be back.

    I think they are trying to make as much money as possible because business is bad. Charged for refills on soda! Crazy. Also added a kitchen staff charge. My teenage son went with his friend. They got burger, a grilled cheese, mozzarella sticks and soda. All in it was $101. Won't be going back there again. Also, it was empty. Not a good vibe.

    First time at Alcove. Really enjoyed it. Food and service were very good. Grilled chicken wasn't dry at all, my husband loved the grilled cheese, not often found on menus.

    Nice vibe, service was great. . I definitely would return to try more dishes. We all had the scrambled breakfast, eggs, bacon and toast were great. Didn’t care for the potatoes. The location is great, easy walk from our hotel. Glad we went!

    We got seated 30 minutes before our reservation which was very amazing because the bruins were playing that night. I spent $120 on the two of us (+tip) which wasn’t a poor pricing for the quality of service and food. We had a really great time. Thank you Alcove ! I would recommend and come again!

    Lively atmosphere in great location by the water (and very close to TD Garden). But some portions are surprisingly small (caviar duo had barely any caviar atop a huge hash brown; crab dip was puny) while others are large (meatball app). So dishes are somewhat poorly conceived but it can be a fun evening out.

    I had higher expectations. The menu — Sat. brunch — was limited. Food quality was good. Wine could’ve been better. Noisy crowd pre-Bruins game. I thought the restaurant would be more comfortable. Ambience was not warm. Servers were good, although the woman bringing the wine seemed a bit timid, as if she was just learning. Will go again to try other than the brunch menu.

    I had a great experience at alcove last night. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. I had a cocktail, beer, steak and chocolate mousse. My husband had two beers, 3 oysters, steak and mousse. Everything was delicious. Great ambiance, candles everywhere, good music playing. We were grabbing dinner before the Celtics game and our server was mindful of that. Highly recommend

    Absolutely wonderful dining experience. We had the Weekend Brunch. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and helpful throughout the meal. Our entrees were delicious- pancakes stuffed with ricotta and grilled cheese with avocado on sourdough. We really enjoyed our time.

    Do like the restaurant and it was very busy so understood slow service. I ordered a second glass of wine. I still had 1/3 left to go but when my friend ordered a 2nd I did, too, to save the server a second trip. Plus it was taking time to be served. Anyway, she came back immediately and poured as if it my glass was empty. I felt I paid $15.00 for a $10 pour. I think that is something servers should be mindful of. The food was great and the server was friendly. It is a very nice restaurant.

    Asked for no croutons and extra dressing they messed up both gave croutons and no dressing. Also asked for soooo on side that was never brought. Expensive for what it is. Frustrating

    Lovely restaurant. Perfect for a bite to eat after work or before the game. Love that its tucked away off the beaten path, but not too far that it feels inaccessible. We had a great time. Service was great. Decor beautiful. Decor, glassware, furniture was dynamic. Enjoyed the view of the Zakim while not being in traffic. Thank you for your hospitality. Next time I’m just going for the 1/2 chicken. The chicken I had on the salad that I ordered was next dimension delicious.

    Alcove has a beautiful location with outdoor seating waterside. While the staff were very friendly and kind, service was on the slow side and the food took a while longer than we'd expect since the restaurant wasn't full. BUT we had a lovely time in a nice environment.

    Food was delicious. There was a minor problem and the manager was great in resolving it quickly. Definitely a place I want to go back to and recommend, especially the chicken and cauliflower
