   Horrible experience. Took us about 10 minutes to be greeted and seated until someone from the bar saw we were waiting at the front. Another 20 minutes before anyone came to the table and served us water. We did not have a consistent waiter at all. Took our drink order and then appetizer and the waiter never retuned. They seemed more preoccupied with the big party in the back room. Maybe some advice, don’t book regular tables if you are going to ignore them. They took our plates thinking we were done with our food and meals when we wanted second round of drinks and more food. I was in awe with the disregard and lack of service to our table. I will not be coming back here. Waste of our money and experience and time.

   They changed their menu since last time we visited, took domecreally good items off. Pretty space, attentive service. Food was goid, just missed the menu items they had on previous visits (monkfish milanese and another fish dish)

   We enjoyed very much our dinner at Alcove. It was quiet for a Friday night but cozy. The two waiters that dealt with our orders were very nice. The small plates are actually standard rest-of-the-world size so don’t let be fooled by the title. The pork ribs were delicious, the oysters were very nice too and my son loved the tomato soup. The wine list is short but diverse enough. I had a lovely bordeaux.

   We had a table of 12 last night before the Celtics playoff game. The staff was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable when asked about dish sizes and amounts we should order for our large party. Our waiter was so great, the food and atmosphere were wonderful!

   A perfect Patio night before heading to the Celtics game… love the NEW SMALL PLATES MENU … especially the pesto tagliatelle… oh and the octopus…and always the Raspberry Lime Rickey!

    this restaurant is horrible, server didn’t wait on us at all. we had to flag her down after 15 mins of being there. then kept having to flag her down for more food. she was rude, and overall worst restaurant experience in boston!!
