Alcove is a welcoming neighborhood restaurant on the edge of Boston’s West End, offering comfortable seasonal American fare & great cocktails from hospitality veteran Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli. Classic dishes like the Whole Roasted Chicken and beloved Prosciutto Bites delight guests, while signature cocktails like the Raspberry Lime Rickey and Champside—along with spirit-free options—ensure something for everyone.

    Friday, May 9, 2025 | 7:00 PM Reception | 7:30 PM Dinner Our next winemaker dinner is coming up fast! On Friday, May 9th, Cristiana Tiberio will be making the trip from Italy to showcase her wine! Azienda Agricola Tiberio was founded in 2000 by Cristiana's father Riccardo after he found and purchased an old-vine plot of Trebbiano in Abruzzo, a hilly region overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The winery received attention and acclaim from its first vintage in 2004, and since Cristiana and her brother took the reins in 2008 that acclaim has only grown! The family grows Montepulciano, Pecorino, and Trebbiano Abruzzese on their 74-acre estate, and makes about 8300 cases of wine per year -- we certainly feel lucky to be getting our hands on some of those cases to pour for you! Tom visited the estate last fall and was struck by the quality of the wines there -- in a region better known for big, juicy reds, here was an estate and a winemaker taking great pride in their white wines! No surprise that Cristiana studied and worked with incredible white wine producers in the Loire Valley, Chablis, and Mosel, not to mention her time with Jacques Selosse in Champagne! She has been instrumental in elevating the reputation of Abruzzo's wines, and her family has almost single-handedly revived their native clone of Trebbiano. That old-vine plot Riccardo initially purchased 25 years ago is still producing stellar wine; named Fonte Canale, the wine has accumulated a cult following wherever Tiberio wines are found! We were thrilled to learn that she would be making the trip to Boston this spring, and even more excited that our friends at The Sorting Table put us together to plan a dinner to show off these outstanding wines. Our wine dinner will begin with a half-hour welcome reception (weather permitting, we may host this on the patio!) with passed appetizers, before sitting down for a four-course menu written specifically to pair to the wines featured. Join us May 9th for this unique opportunity to explore a lesser-known region of Italy with one of its premier winemakers -- we'll see you then

                                                  They changed their menu since last time we visited, took domecreally good items off. Pretty space, attentive service. Food was goid, just missed the menu items they had on previous visits (monkfish milanese and another fish dish)

                                                  We enjoyed very much our dinner at Alcove. It was quiet for a Friday night but cozy. The two waiters that dealt with our orders were very nice. The small plates are actually standard rest-of-the-world size so don’t let be fooled by the title. The pork ribs were delicious, the oysters were very nice too and my son loved the tomato soup. The wine list is short but diverse enough. I had a lovely bordeaux.

                                                  We had a table of 12 last night before the Celtics playoff game. The staff was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable when asked about dish sizes and amounts we should order for our large party. Our waiter was so great, the food and atmosphere were wonderful!

                                                  A perfect Patio night before heading to the Celtics game… love the NEW SMALL PLATES MENU … especially the pesto tagliatelle… oh and the octopus…and always the Raspberry Lime Rickey!

                                                  this restaurant is horrible, server didn’t wait on us at all. we had to flag her down after 15 mins of being there. then kept having to flag her down for more food. she was rude, and overall worst restaurant experience in boston!!
