Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Alcove offers a "wonderful atmosphere" with a "great location near TD Garden." The small plates menu invites sharing, and dishes like "pesto tagliatelle" and "grilled octopus" are highlights. Service can be hit or miss, but standout servers like Daniel and Andrew enhance the dining experience. "Great food and wine pairing" adds to its appeal.

Great overall. There was a big concert at the TD GARDEN so the restaurant especially the bar area was pretty loud but cleared out around 7:30pm, shortly before the concert. So if you are not going to the concert, I would highly consider booking a reservation for 8:00pm or later and/or do the bar at 8:00pm or later so you can get a seat/space.

We had a reservation on a Friday night before a show at TD Garden. We were brought the wrong drink as well as as many incorrect plates and the weight was very long. It took us almost 90 minutes to have dinner. The server told us three times he would bring more water and kept forgetting. They seemed overwhelmed with the volume of people they had and it was frustrating. Most of the dishes were fine; we were advised not to order cocktails because of wait times and had beer and wine instead. The wine list was pretty good but not extremely descriptive.

Reservation was for dinner, but our server was inattentive and argumentative, so we had drinks and apps and left. No Pinot Grigio? Wings and shishito peppers were good, but we wouldn’t come back for just that.

Worst dining experience in Boston. Nice outdoor seating area but horrible service. Only got 3/6 of our dishes. Waited 40 minutes before waiter checked on us meanwhile he checked on the table next to us 4+ times. We had him cancel the last 3 dishes. He apologized but made no effort to rectify the situation. As a table of 2, we spent well over an hour here while only being served 2 dips and potatoes. We left hungry and went somewhere to finish our dinner. Will never be back.

Lovely brunch. Great tasting food and outstanding service from Andrew, our server. Big bright space with nice view of the Zakum Bridge. Really had a great time.

Horrible experience. Took us about 10 minutes to be greeted and seated until someone from the bar saw we were waiting at the front. Another 20 minutes before anyone came to the table and served us water. We did not have a consistent waiter at all. Took our drink order and then appetizer and the waiter never retuned. They seemed more preoccupied with the big party in the back room. Maybe some advice, don’t book regular tables if you are going to ignore them. They took our plates thinking we were done with our food and meals when we wanted second round of drinks and more food. I was in awe with the disregard and lack of service to our table. I will not be coming back here. Waste of our money and experience and time.
