The food is spectacular....every time! I highly recommend it!

Had a wonderful COVID-19 safe outdoor meal! The prawns were delicious and don’t miss the desserts!

It was marvelous! The night was beautiful with a chill but the heaters were great!

We have been coming here for years and were her to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The are taking all the necessary Covid-19 precautions and tables are outdoors where they usually hold weddings. It was an absolutely spectacular sunset.

We started our meal with the squash ginger soup and the asparagus/proscuitto/parmesan appetizer. They always have amazing soup and this was no exception. For entrees we had the cod special and the prawns in a lime cream sauce that was so delicious you wanted a bowlful to eat like soup. We paired our meal with a Hawley Viognier (many local wines on their extensive wine list). We finished our meal with a candied ginger ice cream and a pair of sorbets.

Our server Matt and his helpers were gracious and helpful. They made this occasion delightful.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner outdoors on our visit to the Mendocino area. Service was attentive and gracious and the meal was wonderful. Thank you to all of the talented team at the Albion River Inn.

Beautiful meal again! When our reservation at another place fell through (they changed their hours but did not cancel our reservation) Albion River Inn came through again. Laura and the staff were sweet and attentive. Meal was delicious. Thank you!

Outdoor dining on the bluff by the fire pit was such a glorious break from the smoke in the bay area...service and food were terrific. We had the tomato towery, caesar salad and split the steak w prawns everything was perfect. Full bar and great cocktails but also a stellar wine list. I'd def come back

We visited the Albion River Restaurant to celebrate our one year anniversary. We sat outside, overlooking the ocean. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and it's a great place to go for a special occasion.

Beautiful socially distanced outdoor dining with a fabulous view and wonderful service. A must when in the Mendocino area! We came back for the oceanfront view and the prawns and they did not disappoint!

View was so beautiful. Wait staff great felt very safe and protected from covid. My food was terrific but my husband do not enjoy his steak. Felt it was tough. I loved all mine and he enjoyed his appetizer. He tried my main course and liked it. We will definitely eat here again. So enjoyed ourselves. Had many other menu items we will try. Probably just not steak again.

I’ve eaten at the Albion River Inn many times over the past decade. It’s always great. We ate outside in the fog with heaters and it was still wonderful. Service is excellent, food generous and impeccable.

Eating out in the time of COVID has it's challenges but the staff really did their best. View is unbeatable. Food is delicious. Social distancing in place.

The ambience and service was excellent. The staff were friendly and the view of the ocean/cliff was spectacular. The Latin inspired soup was so tasty! The main food was good but could have been better. The cod was chewy and the steak was not as flavorful as we had hoped for. The food was still good just not as excellent as the ambience.

As before, this place was beyond outstanding in all manners!! We love it.

We'll definitely be back.It was a great experience for dining out with the view of the Pacific.

We love coming here anytime we are in the area. I would have rated it higher but with the covid 19 restrictions in place it was not quite as charming as usual. I can't blame this on the Albion but it will be nice to get things back to normal!!

This was a great find in the Mendocino area. Beautiful patio for dining overlooking the coast. Cuisine was up to the reviews I had read. Will return!

Outside dining was great. Inside dining room is a bit sterile.

I had the filet mignon. It melted I. My mouth. The light sauce was beautifully paired and the vegetables cooked perfectly. Service was outstanding. The tables were set way apart for COV-ID. I felt totally safe.

We have eaten here before but it's just a different environment due to the Covid requirements. The menu was a little limited and we weren't able to bring in our own wine but oh well. We were good with it. The service was excellent. It's still a great place!

The window seat overlooking the ocean was stunning. My dinner was excellent. The servers were very helpful in choosing wine and informing us about our dinner choices. The dining room is nicely space noting the COVID-19 issues.

Couldn't have asked for a better Anniversary dinner. We were lucky to have beautiful clear sky and able to dine outside overlooking the gorgeous view of the cove through the garden. Our server Matt was fantastic. The food was beyond expectations. This is one of our first times dining out in the midst of Covid and we felt very safe with he precautions by the restaurant and our server. Can't wait to go back.

We dined outside with a fabulous view of the ocean! The food was spectacular! We almost felt like we were alone on a cliff! I would definitely come back and request to sit outside! Service was spectacular our waiter was Matt and he took amazing care of us! 💕

Fantastic, amazing food and spirits with the best views we have found on the north coast.

The restaurant at the Albion River Inn (ARI) reopened last Friday (6/26/20) after having been closed for three months because of the coronavirus pandemic. The number of tables has been reduced to allow for proper spacing, and there is no seating at the bar. The menu is slightly shorter than before, with a couple fewer choices of appetizers and entrees because of the smaller headcount. The most important thing, however, is that they haven’t missed a beat. The kitchen is as good as ever (we split a roasted garlic Caesar salad and had the filet mignon and the grilled prawn entrees). Outstanding! The dining room personnel – hostess, wait staff, bussers – are well-trained and gracious, as always. Cocktails continue to be excellent. So happy that ARI is back in business!

Wonderful tasty meal, from the yummy smoked duck breast salad and the pork shank was fall off the bone! Excellent presentation and great staff. Dessert was the chocolate- raspberry cake, decadent and moist. The wine list is fantastic! We will be back!

My wife and I had dinner while staying in the area. The restaurant is located on a bluff overlooking the ocean and had a beautiful view from our table. I have been trying hamburgers from different places since having an amazing burger in Inverness. The ARI burger was very good cooked to order. My wife had the Lime and Ginger Grilled Prawns and said it was one of the best meals she had ever had! We finished with homemade ice cream which was delicious. Definitely will be back on our next trip.

You’re paying for the view. The food is mediocre. Massive wine list but the waiter knew nothing about it.

Good and attentive waitress, with beautiful window ocean views. Food was quite good. Enjoyable experience and we would go back there.

Ambiance and views are superb. Staff were very attentive. Somewhat disappointed in the food: my swordfish was a little overdone and covered with a mushroom sauce that I did not think was a good compliment to the fish. Roasted brussel sprouts were soft and too heavy with asiago cheese.Saffron based Bouillabase was very good.

Have been coming here for years. I was happy to see a NY steak back on the menu, but was disappointed that it was tough, though well-cooked. At $39.50, it should have been a tenderer cut. My wife’s price fix dinner was great and the atmosphere and service was superb, as always.
