About Alberto's Ristorante
Alberto's Ristorante was established in 1984 at which time, Northern Italian cuisine and fresh homemade pasta were introduced to Cape Cod for the first time. Since then, we have continued this tradition of all fresh ingredients and in-house preparation of every course from the soups to the desserts.
Our reputation for casual elegance arises from our emphasis on decor, service, the pride we take in food preparation, and our affordability. Over the years, we have received rave reviews from food critics from the Cape Cod Times, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Cape Cod Life Magazine, Fodor's, AAA, and New York Times critic James Beard for "...exquisite Northern Italian cuisine". Our lounge is the perfect setting for a before dinner cocktail, an after dinner espresso, or an even more casual meal. .

Alberto's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
I had asked for a table where we might enjoy conversation and we were put next to a table of about 12 people celebrating a birthday....not happy. One member of our party wears hearing aids so I was not pleased. Also, we were not overly attended to by the wait staff. We were placed in a corner. I had asked someone about possibly changing our location and nothing came of it. We just settled in and enjoyed our own small, special occasion...but I was not very happy and I'm inclined to look for other locations before "settling" on Albertos. Yes, the food was good....but. I don't know why we could not be seated in the front or another location. I had included the request for a location to allow conversation when booking; I'm not sure the restaurant even looked at it.
The big room in the back had no ambiance. The service was inconsistent at best. The calamari was very good, ample portion. The accompanying dip, very good. The Oslo buco was ok, a little dry. The chicken parm was excellent. The deserts were good.
Overall, good value but I would not want to be in that room again.
My husband and I went to Alberto's to celebrate our 50th wedding Anniversary. We were treated Royally. Our meals were of the best we have had dining out. My husband had the Grilled lamb loin and I had the Lobster, Shrimp & Scallops over linguine. Food was delicious, hot, and well plated. Our waiter, Rado, was very attentive, sociable, and professional. The restaurant served us a complimentary glass each of champagne and a sampling of awesome chocolate mousse/cheesecake in celebration of our anniversary. We were visiting from Canada but if we lived anywhere near the Cape, Alberto's would be our go-to restaurant. Being able to book online was an added bonus.
Went with friends for our anniversary. It was their first time there and they enjoyed the meal and the dining experience. Little pricey for an ordinary dinner but worth the trip for a special occasion. Greeted right away upon entering and seated in a quiet area.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and were not dissapointed. The restaurant surprised us with not only a champagne toast, but also a free desert! It was our first time there and we would definitely recommend it. Both the food and the service were excellent. I had chosen this place because we were going to be in the area. It is approximately a one hour and a half drive from our house to the restaurant, but if we were ever to be in the area again we would definitely go back to this restaurant without hesitation! I would highly recommend it to anyone.
We had an excellent Pri-Fix dinner with a menu full of choices. The portions are generous and our service was excellent. We were seated near the pianist, in a narrow area, which made the
music seem loud. Overall, an excellent , upscale experience with great food.
We absolutely love Alberto's. We are in Hyannis once a year on our way to Nantucket and we never fail to make a reservation there. We sit at the bar, have a nice glass of wine (they have a very good wine list) and then move on to our table for a lovely dinner. Everything is delicious. I'm already looking forward to next year!
Dinner at Alberto's was enjoyable. The highlight was the chicken Milanese which was cooked to perfection. It was served with salad and linguini with oil and garlic. The clam chowder, which is certainly not Italian but a Cape Cod staple, was good as well. The gnocchi was enjoyable with the sausage and meatball. Not for the lighthearted. That was a heavy entrée. The prix fixe dinner @ $30 for 3 courses made this a very good value in a nice setting. Outdoor dining is available, too!
Went with friends for dinner. Menu was diverse enough that everyone was happy.
We were in the main dinning section with another (large) group in the same area, but not noisy.
Noticed that the restaurant was set up for large group areas with glass walls between. Nice idea to keep the noise confined. Food was excellent and the server was skilled. (not always found during the summer on the cape) Prices were in line with the food & service.
I would recommend for Fine Dining & Will definitely return next year.
Six of us dined at Alberto's last week before going to a concert at The Melody Tent. Our 5:15 reservation allowed plenty of time to relax and enjoy the delicious food. You cannot go wrong with Albertos....food is consistently very good, service is excellent, and the ambience is perfect. No wonder it's been a favorite for years!
