The staff and food are consistently amazing. We love this place, they are like family.
Amazing restaurant! But very sad to think they have to be shutdown again! Let the people decide
Great, friendly service - next to good food, most important to me.
Food was delicious
Sat outside but had heater next to us and was under the tent so the rain was no biggy.
The food is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the pork chop. The service was excellent as well.
We came here for brunch and the food was extremely delicious! My friend ordered the French toast and it arrived with figs on top, I asked if I could get a side order of just figs and they were able to provide that request. Such a delight to enjoy fresh figs with my meal! My kids loved their waffle and we were all pretty comfortable outside with the heating lamps.
We appreciated the personable touch on everything and really enjoyed the food! Just a great experience for our whole party!
Waitress was good. Lacked knowledge of the menu.
Food was food but some of it was cold and undercooked.
Great ambiance, delicious food, & service was stellar
Everything was great! Our server even heard me say happy birthday to my friend at dinner and she brought us the sweetest dessert and candle at the end of our meal. We were so surprised, it made our night.
Excellent dining experience, as always. Love the turmeric cauliflower and the "Donuts" were a fun new menu item. Solid Spicy Shrimp in Chili sauce, more tomato-y than expected (as compared with like a Gambas Al Ajillo style) but well cooked prepared nonetheless. The Rigatoni was good, but mainly because the mushrooms saved the dish 5-star. The pasta itself was a bit undercooked and the cream was too light for our taste. Have had the Lamb Ragu in the past, would say that is still the best pasta dish at Albatross. Great drinks, definitely recommend. Still waiting for that Spanish Octopus to come back!
This was our first time dining here and we loved it! The food is great but the service and the owner make it even better! She’s gone out of her way to make things as festive and nice as possible while dining outside. We’ll definitely be back!
Great service and good food with tasty dessert for my wife's birthday dinner. Thanks Albatross!
Had a nice date night outside, of course. It’s getting colder so they lit the space heaters and we had a nice, long date night dinner. Coming back soon.
Had the fried chicken sandwich for lunch. It was just ok. My friend had the breakfast Cobb. She said it was ok. Service was average. $5 for a can of Coke was ridiculous.
All of our food was delicious! The staff is friendly and helpful, and all of them were appropriately wearing their masks. We enjoyed our brunch at Albatross, and this won't be the last time we eat there.
We had the best time with our server who suggested we try his own created cocktail. Albatross is the restaurant you’ve been looking for: one that’s low key with the best food at reasonable prices. Book Albatross NOW. You won’t regret it!
Stay away. We arrived at 7pm, ordered drinks and appetizers at 710, and at 750 we still had not received either. At that point, we got up and left. Horrible service.
The food is good, not great but good enough to get folks back. Some menu items looked better than others coming out of the kitchen but we had already ordered by the time we saw them. Ordinarily, I'd just order differently next time but there won't be a next time. The food, however, won't be the thing that keeps me from returning.
I know it's a weird time during the Covid-19 pandemic but that's no excuse for a restaurant not performing the most basic of courtesies to diners. Case in point: When folks order a starter, it should be the starter. When they order a salad course, it should be a salad course. These two things are not the same and what they SHOULDN'T be is delivered to the table simultaneously. Our starter and the salads, brought en masse by one busboy (not our server), both crowded the table and made us feel rushed. I absolutely H-A-T-E when this happens-- service teams need to be trained to enter and deliver orders with pacing in mind and never arrive at a table where the dishes from the previous course are still on the table (especially when they're on the table full of food)! Restaurant management needs to appreciate that diners, unless asking for quick service, are not dining out to speed eat! Compounding the starter and salad course table dump, our mains arrived about 8 minutes later-- while we were still just getting started on our salads. The busboy dropped these off at the table, a two-top with little room to accommodate them. They were cool by the time we could scarf down the salad, relocate those plates to the edge of the table, and make room in front of us for the actual meal.
Add in the bottle of wine we ordered wasn't available so no wine until midway through the starter/salad course after ordering an alternative. The original bottle and the alternative both remained on the bill until we caught that error.
All in, we were a total of 65 minutes from seated at the table until we cleared the bill and departed. 65 VERY LOUD minutes!
It was nice although they did not acknowledge our Anniversary that we noted in the reservation.
Our office came in for a little weekly recap,
We were so impressed by the owner personally taking such Fabulous care of us! The food was so good I brought back my family the next evening, who are the hardest to cook for-I know! Big hit!
Definitely one of our best restaurant in Danville!
Luv luv luv Y’all
Fabulous we will be back!!! 🙏Every week
Definitely one if Danville BEST restaurants!
2nd time eating at Albatross and they do not disappoint, the Pork chop lion with grilled veggies was amazing. If you LOVE beets their Beet Salad is my favorite and the desert menu is lite and lovely with 2 Gluten free options
The food was very good but the service was horrible.
Spent Sunday brunch with a friend and we enjoyed the fresh oysters, deviled eggs and main courses of truffle scramble and salmon toast. Drinks were mimosas and glasses of champs and their coffee .. was delish. Definitely coming back
Food was good. Tomohawk ribeye was very good. This is my third time at the restaurant. We ordered the pork chop, but it was very small compared to the last two times. way more succotash on the plate than pork chop. Waitress was good, but overall service was slow, especially from the bar.
Food was very tasty and staff was friendly. Service was slow and sporadic at best. They don’t seem to have the COVID-19 process down yet unless it’s by design to limit the turnover as they need time to clean in between sittings
Decent restaurant. Shrimp appetizer was just ok, but the pork chop and fried chicken were both very good. Service and ambiance both excellent.
LOVED IT!! Absolutely incredible food. I’m gluten intolerant and so appreciated that they had specifically labeled gluten free plates including gluten free Mac and cheese. It was a little slow because it was busy but the chef gave us two free plates because of the wait. Talk about generous! I will absolutely be going back and recommending it to others.
All delicious. Service great. But temperature red wine was more than 70*. Better 60-64. Thanks
First time here celebrating my birthday. It was very nice! The service was pleasant and the food was delicious. We will be back and will spread the word. Thanks for making my day something to remember.
We enjoyed our visit very much. Our meal was excellent as well as the service.
Brunch was absolutely terrible. Food and service was subpar
Food was absolutely delicious - I mean, every bite to die for. Service was great, they just got busy toward the end of our meal. Ambiance was limited due to street seating. But we will definitely be back.
Albatross consistently has solid dishes every time we go, but the favorites so far have been the summer gazpacho and lamb ragu. The wine list is also always interesting
This is the first time I visited this restaurant with my friends. Food was excellent, service was outstanding. The greeters was super friendly and willing to make us happy. I was blown away by this restaurant. Due to covid19, we chose to sit outdoor on Friday evening. Everything went well until we had to use the restaurant restroom. The music selection for their indoor dining was horrible! It was heavy metal and hard rap music. For many customers who are mostly in their 30s-50s at that night, they endured until we complained. However, after we suggested, the restaurant immediately changed the music to Jazz music. We love such open minded and we're super happy about their willingness. Highly recommend this restaurant!!! :-)
First time we've ate there and we were very happy. Good people, good food and excellent dining room.
The food was very average. I probably could have made a similar scramble at home. The “farm to table” concept did not reflect in the food, it tasted like the produce was from a supermarket.
Tried this place for the second time. I won’t be going back, the food was not good both times. The peppers were not edible they were so spicy. Why are there raisins in everything???? Everything tasted like Indian food.
Well prepared food in a nice atmosphere and great location.
A magnificent experience!
We were surprised to be able to sit inside. Basically the only ones. Bartender Eddie provided us top notch service and drinks. The fried chicken is AMAZING! Whether bourbon based or the best spicy margarita ever, you will have a great meal and conversation. We really appreciate a touch of “normal” I’m this crazy world!
