We had a reservation, and it took a while to get seated, then we were not waited on for a long time. We spoke to the people around us and they said it was taking 45 minutes to get food. We were going to a concert, so we had to leave. A very disappointing place,

We were really disappointed in our last visit to the War Room. We had a great meal the last time we were there...but not this time. They were out of both our choices - the Grover Cleveland corned beef and the Brooklyn Brisket. We opted for the FDR Grilled cheese sandwich. It was ok...but a bit soggy...certainly not worth $19... the drinks were overpriced as well. It cost us $70 (tip included) for 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, 1 wine and 1 beer. Two tables got up and left before they were served while we were there. They need to retool, pair down their menu and get their service down. 🤨

Great sushi but greeting poor. Partner experiencing back pain could not be accommodated at table because we came for omakase but had to sit at bar. Came for birthday celebration but no mention was made despite making known in reservation. At the price it was disappointing.

Later arrival into Albany, wanted to walk from the hotel and stumbled into an outstanding experience. Wonderful service, wonderful music, wonderful food. The three of us would go back in a minute.

Place has potential but the place is poorly run. Chef had to leave so the kitchen was closed. No one knew why the cigar bar was closed. Staff seem to be a bit lost. Disappointing for such a nice place.

Extremely disappointed! The tables are so close together we felt we were sitting with other guests at our table for two. Our reservations were at 6pm and our food order was so delayed we didn’t get served until 7:15. We asked to have our salad first but it came out with the burger/fries we ordered. Our server finally came over after we ate most of the meal that was served room temp at best. We did tell her that our burgers and fries were not even warm. But that we couldn’t find her to have it sent back and also told her we requested to eat our salads first. Then we heard her complaining in the kitchen about us that we said our food was cold but we ate it all anyways so it must have been warm enough. For a $24 burger with cold fries and a $20 salad(no protein ordered on it)and an $18 cocktail, we will not be back.

Small, cosy restaurant….atmosphere is interesting with lots of pictures of local and national politicians. We had a great seat by the window so it was fun to watch activity on Eagle Street on Friday evening. Drink specials were great. Despite the small size of the dinning room, didn’t feel cramped. Food was decent. Will definitely return

We spent $36 on salad with a mouthful of chicken none of the other sides were available. Side vegetables including fries were 16 dollars. And to boot the chicken poutine that my husband ordered was dry and flavorless

The food and service were outstanding, but the wine and liquor prices are a bit on the ridiculous side. Only half bottles of wine were available and they were the same as full bottle prices elsewhere. A wine/liquor list with prices posted would be a nice addition, along with full bottle offerings...and 'reasonable' restaurant wine and liquor prices.

The restaurant was historic and the ambience was delightful. The owner was welcoming and ensured that my guests had a wonderful time. The menu was diverse and offered exceptional value. I ate at the restaurant three times in two days and always had a great meal each time. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This establishment doesn’t offer sushi on Sundays. They should probably have that written out somewhere or online or SOMETHING since our party and the other three after us all left. Brand new bartender on Sunday too; totally lovely and nice but already overwhelmed. Get her some help behind the bar please.

Clearly they were having a bad night. Our waiter was working his first night and was left virtually alone to cover the dining room. While he tried to satisfy, it was just too much for him to manage. It took about 15 minutes to determine what brand of vodka was in stock. And the chicken poutine was nothing like any poutine I've had before -- a panko fried chicken breast smothered in melted cheese curds. No gravy and no fries. I doubt I will ever go back.

We went for the lobster roll, Ended up with that and more. The sushi was terrific. We had the most engaging waiter, Javier, he was attentive, engaging and efficient. I was worried my wife and guests would not like this restaurant but was pleasantly surprised when my wife said let's go back whenever you want.

Eggplant not cooked À too long time to get the first course and even the first glass Crab inside the sushi’s was surimi! Not the same thing!! Too too too much expensive for 3 p 2 eggplants + 24 sushi’s + 3 wine glasses + 1 bottle of sparkling water = 170 usd!!

Edamame dumplings and sushi were the best food served. Our main courses were very over cooked, even after we confirmed we wanted the seafood moist. Our server was congenital but not attentive. Had to ask for water refills and did not even offer second/drink refills.

Will definitely be back. The memorabilia on the walls is fantastic , especially as a lifelong New York. Food was good. Service was good. Rarely give 5 stars on first visit but i will absolutely be back for the upgraded score. Fun cocktails well priced sushi, and sake. And plenty of stuff for the non-fish eaters. You won't be disappointed.

First visit to AWRSS; seated promptly. Our waiter was congenial, attentive, and offered to answer any questions we might have about the menu. The sushi was fresh, and very flavorful. All in all, a great experience. Will be going back for more sushi and/or one of the steaks. 👍🏼

Sushi is excellent and very fresh. Steaks are on point, I had a Filet med rare and it was delicious. Someone in our party ordered the lobster roll and it was over done. Over all it was a pleasant dining experience.
