If Micheline Guide was in Houston this would be definitely rated as one. Presentation and flavor of food are outstanding,as the service and ambiance. Great wine list also. Best of Houston

We have enjoyed our night . Food was spectacular and really nice presentations. A great treat in a fine dining restaurant. Service was good and we enjoyed the extras like the amuse bouche and the pre-desserts

Excellent fine italian cuisine in a cozy environment inside The Granduca with direct access from outside. I would have appreciated a bit more information from our servers regarding recommendations and explanations of some menu items. The food quality and presentation however, were truly first class, and I would have no hesitation ordering any of the items on the menu. Everything that came our of the kitchen looked phenomenal. Looking forward to my next visit.

This was an amazing evening. Food was divine. The dishes were a work of art, I didn’t even wanted to touch/eat because they were wonderfully plated. The flavors of each dish was also spectacular. Service was superb and the live music created a good atmosphere. We went to opera night and there were singing opera during the meal. Just out of this word ! An experience that is unique here in Houston and I am glad I went. We had the pleasure to talk to the chef when he did a walk of the restaurant and glad we asked him about future cooking classes . Looking forward to come back.

I celebrated my daughter's birthday at Alba restaurant, and it was absolutely amazing and memorable. The staff were professional and inviting. They gave us more than expected and more. The food was spectacular and flavorful. The chef was engaging and friendly. We are vegan and they provided excellent vegan food. My favorite fine dining restaurant thus far in Houston. On a scale to 10 I rate Alba restaurant 11.

Amazing fine dining Italian food in Houston. Romantic ambiance , great wine list, and attentive service. We enjoyed the veal tonnato as appetizer and the foie gras. We had squid ink spaghetti with lobster and Barolo risotto with ossobuco which they both were divine . All the dishes are well presented and plated . Great presentation and flavors. The chef was around the dining room, he talked to us and made us feel so special. This should be a Michelin star restaurant

Amazing experience. Food is outstanding. The best pasta with white truffle I had in Houston and many other Michelin star restaurants in the world. Very romantic place with attentive service and details . The authentic Italian food although it’s what takes this restaurant to the next level.

I don't know how we missed this gem of a restaurant for so long. Alba is everything we love about fine dining and more... an elegant atmosphere, impeccable service and divine food that takes your breath away. What more can I say? We will be back!

Best experience in Houston . Michelin star quality of food and presentation of dishes. Attention to details of each dish are unique. A place where you can actually have an outstanding romantic meal in a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere and you can talk to your party without screaming at each other like other restaurants. Spaghetti with lobster and risotto ossobuco are top notch. Desserts are a work of art and interactive.

Alba was one of the most unique fine dining experiences of my life. Chef Maurizio Ferrarese was personally responsible for my previous best culinary experience at the Sud Italia (which we miss). When we discovered he was now running the two restaurants at the Hotel Granduca, we booked a weekend stay to celebrate our 21st anniversary. The entire weekend was delightful--the hotel staff was super friendly, and the pool made for some great people-watching--but the highlight was dinner at Alba. Highly recommended.

Everything and I mean everything was AMAZING!!! We were greeted with glasses of champagne. We were celebrating our anniversary and the table had crystal roses on it and the menu said Happy Anniversary. Our waitress was fantastic. We each had salad..burrata for my husband and roasted veggies for me. Both were excellent. Our mains were sea bass for my husband and short ribs for me. Both were excellent. The chef visited our table and was so generous!!! We finished with desserts and coffee and the entire evening was amazing. Our waitress was also excellent! They gave us a picture in a cute frame for our anniversary. This was a great night and we will definitely be back!

We rented the restaurant out for a Private Party/Event. Invited our friends and had an amazing food menu and service . They treated us like royalty, we had a Michelin star quality food and great cocktails . Had an amazing experience. Recommend to anyone wants a private event

As repeating guest, I LOVE this Italian fine dining restaurant experience. The staff is so welcoming , the food is designed to be impressive and very good. All the “free extras “ that you receive, (from prosecco to first finger food , and the praline and the what the call it the clouds….) give to this experience a great value for your money.

Attention to details it is what made the difference. No other restaurants in Houston do what I saw here, from food quality to presentation and service . I had a black flour bread that is made from arso flour that I never experience before.

We love coming back to this restaurant and their attention to details . Food is amazing and service matches the experience. Try their octopus and risotto , it will not disappoint . We also had a very lovely glass of Italian brunello wine which paired well with our bison entree

Enjoyed the Prosecco we were offered on arrival. The scallop with truffle was very good. Unfortunately, the risotto with “table side caviar” was disappointing. The caviar was awful. I took a picture of the caviar can just to see if I recognized the type as we love caviar. The can said “Caspian Heriatge”. Yes, it was actually misspelled. I knew right away this wasn’t looking good. And when we tasted it, I had to chase it down with water. The ravioli w beef rib was disappointing as well. The filling was so soggy. We enjoyed the desserts. The service was good. We won’t be returning.

Exactly what we wanted to have for our special celebration day. Amazing food and service. The attention to details is one of the best in Houston restaurants. The ravioli with black truffle and the branzino were outstanding. Try their special cocktails also, they will not disappoint. The Italian wine list has a lot to choose from . Elegant dinner for two. Very nice surroundings, smaller dining room, so not crowded or noisy. Service over the top, very attentive and sincerely interested in helping to create a wonderful experience for us. Also, very attentive to gluten free requirements. Food was excellent! We were looking for a special place to have our Anniversary Dinner; and in particular (since we are fasting this month), a place that offered Vegan options. Alba was a preferred choice, because we had enjoyed Brunch and Dinner here in the past. We researched their menu, and were pleasantly surprised to learn that they had a whole separate, Vegetarian menu, with several vegan option; and they were still willing to accommodate special requests We enjoyed our meal, and plan to return after our fast,to enjoy some dishes “with meat”my husband’s words- LOL)
