Brunch is a must!! Awesome deal and amazing food. Huge bonus that there are bottomless drinks that you can mix n match. It's not just mimosas.
Wrong place for 91 year olds! However, for the rest of us, it was a great time. The chief complaint was the band. Since it’s a Cajun spot, we were hoping to hear some zydeco if we had to endure that level of music volume. It’s more of a bar atmosphere as opposed to a dining room. We had a large party which made it hard to be seated at a regular table furthest away from the band. The food was good, however the jambalaya was just ok to us creoles; others may find it great. We had the Sunday brunch which was worth every penny! I especially liked the tater tots.
Live band on Mother’s Day, couldn’t hear anyone. Called ahead of time to secure a booth since I have a two year old and was told I could be accommodated. We got seated at a high top bar stool table because they failed to reserve booth. It was a timed bottomless drink brunch and they wouldn’t seat us for 15 mins while a couple in our party were late, and the bar would not serve us until were seated. It was ridiculous.
Went for Sunday brunch. The place has the feel of a New Orleans cafe - decor, live music, photos of great NOLA musicians. Very alive: busy, lots of people, a live band.
Small plates was a great call for brunch. Tasted almost everything on the menu. All good, nothing bad. I'd eat everything again. Maybe take more friends to allow tasting more things. The jambalaya was stellar - great flavors, a bit crunchy, as if it had been cooked in a paella pan. Delicious.
I would love to go back in the evening and eat at the beautiful bar.
The music is too loud I was yelling across the table. The food is medicore and does not represent New Orleans at all. Drinks and service was good. No sweetners ie Equal, Splenda etc not provided that is not a good thing for folks with dietary needs.
The restaurant had a really good vibe and people were really excited to be there. It was hard to talk to the person I was with because it was so loud even when the live music wasn't playing. The food was ok and they overused tomatoes in everything. Overall though, it was a really fun brunch just not ideal if you want to have a 1:1 conversation.
Wear your stretch pants! The food is awesome, there are so many choices and they are all awesome. This is a great place to bring a group and share. This is a must frequent.
Very friendly spot and attentive service.
Enjoyed the brunch selection will go again.
Upon arrival. Host past my group. No signs about being seated so we tried to seat ourselves, the rude girl NOT lady, approached us rudely. Asked if we had reservations, I respires, gave our name, then I told her. Oh there’s no sign saying wait to be seated and you passed us twice not indicating or advising us to hold on or please wait. She looked annoyed and Took us to up our table. Service?? OMG the waitress was clueless. Took her 35 mins to bring a suggested Irish coffee. Firs came out with cup, as she pour it was just hot water, she said. Oh I forgot to add the coffee. 🤦♀️ Then never came back for about 15 mins. With regular coffee, I said hmmm is this the Irish coffee? She responded omg I’m sorry. Let me get that. She finally returned 15mins later with ice coffee in a kids cup. 🤔. I was like whatever. Just give me another Mamosa. Foood was ok. The waitress put in a few of our order, took long for food to come out. Had to reorder with a new waitress who was better her name was Nikki. She made us feel better and Gabe great services even thought it was her first day.
Food was either undercooked or underseasoned depending on the dish. With so many wonderful restaurants in SF, would not recommend to a friend.
Service was trash, unfortunately. Sf deserves a good New Orleans restaurant. Drinks were good. Food was average. Service very slow and bad.
Waiter was very nice and knowledgable about the menu. The food was really flavorful, except the Mac N Cheese which was disappointing, but overall very enjoyable.
Excellent staff and service! I got my reservation time wrong, so was 25 min late, but they were so accommodating and put us at a table where we could still enjoy the 90 minute bottomless brunch (which was SO GOOD btw). Definitely returning soon!
Went with group for the Marsi Gras brunch. Ambiance was great, had a live jazz band playing, it was a little loud, but good music. When we arrived one of the owners was talking to the table near us. By the conversation you could tell they just met, he continued to speak with them, even introducing them to the head chef and never once even said welcome or anything to us. Now I thought ok, could be a fluke, but then another table on the other side of us was seated and he went to them also and chatted and served them. So I thought it just plain rude, I’m not saying it was racia but there were distinctive differences that made me wonder.
Our waitress, a lovely petite blonde, was fabulous. She asked us if it was ok to send out a few of her favorites and we agrees. Soo good, her suggestions were on point and so tasty. Thank you to her for making our brunch awesome.
LOVED this place!!! Went for bottomless brunch and there was live music and the food was INCREDIBLE. Great for groups, not great for intimate conversation haha.
We went for the Mardi Gras brunch special and it was fantastic! the food and drinks were amazing and the servers were so welcoming and fun! It was like a real Nola party, we had a blast!
Been here several times but it seems like the food quality is not as good as it used to be. The dishes were bland and the meat dishes were a bit chewy. Some items were cold/luke warm when it should be hot. Overall, food was sub par.
Mardi Gras brunch- amazing!!
Food and drinks were great! Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was lively yet also chill. Definitely as close as you can get to NOLA in the bay area.
Bartender was INCREDIBLE!!! Our server forgot about us...
Menu was changed very disappointing food quality's was poor
It was a Mardi Gras event and everything was phenomenal! Food was great, drinks were plenty and delicious and the staff could not have been better! The band was great as well!
We had been looking to try Alba Ray's and had the perfect excuse when an old friend came to town. We sampled a ton and came on a Sunday where we had half priced bottles of wine. GET THE SPOON BREAD!! Everything was really amazing but the spoon bread and charred oysters were absolutely not to be missed. Shayna was an absolute delight and I firmly believe her vibe is perfectly aliged with the spirit of the place. I cannot wait to come back! Spoon.bread.
Unbrlievable Mardi Gras Party!!! Second best to actually being there. Thank you Alba Mae for transporting us in every way!!! A must!!!!
Wow, what an amazing Mardi Gras brunch. Bottomless food and drink was fabulous! Everything aside form the eggs benny were delicious. They kept the drinks coming and on top of the overall service. I highly recommend for anyone. Make a reservation though!
Service is great. I went a few months ago for the first time and loved the beignets (delightful). I decided to take a friend and the place was even better, they had a Mardi Grass menu which allowed me to try everything it was simple DELICIOUS. There was also live music (jazz), I had a wonderful time, will definitely comeback but with more friends, is a beautiful New Orleans vibe place in the Mission.
So good! Their jambalaya is great and the begneits are the best!
The food here is always fantastic!
Really do love this place, but the level of service was abominable, and I was embarrassed to have been the person in my group who suggested we go here. Had a reservation, was seated at a high-top in the bar, ignored, finally had to flag someone down to come to us, had been seated by the hostess but then accused of not having a reservation. Would have ordered more food or drinks if anyone could have been bothered to actually come over ever to check on us, and then at the end of the night after begging for a bill (we really debated just leaving, for the first time in my life, because it was OVER 30 MINUTES of trying to get a check), we got an earful from the woman who brought the check about how she JUST FOUND OUT WE WERE HER TABLE. #IPaidForThis
Great! But small portions for the money
The gumbo was very bland and packed salt. The option sizes are small compared to price point.
Food was ok. Had to ask for Main course 3x after appetizers came out. took 30 min after everyone’s food was done for jambalaya to come out .
I came here for Valentine’s Day and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious, the drinks were great and the service was very pleasant, even for an extra busy night. I feel the need to give a shout-out to their hostess, who was absolutely lovely. She went out of her way to check in on us several times and put in extra work to support the rest of the staff. I honestly am only writing this review to give her some credit, she really deserves it. Will be back!
Good and tasty
The food quality did not match the price. The oysters were the only saving grace.
Great service! Delicious food
Went for a bday meal
Great service and food.
Good Cajun Creole food. Great biscuits and nice versions of traditional dishes.
Won’t be back. Ruined dishes I liked in previous trips, in a seemingly misplaced desire to be cool.
