We love this place and were very excited to get a reservation. Branzino was fantastic and my wife had the squid ink ravioli which is so good. We had the cheese and it was paired with a fantastic jam. Food and service were so good.

Wouldn't have known about them without Opentable, as they didn't pull up with 4.5 stars or above on trip advisor, but I found them on Open and decided to give them a try, since good reviews on there. The hostess(guessing also the Floor or GM), was energetic, fashionable, and efficient. Bartender/my server (missed his name, but tall and fun guy), did a great job. Had some nice menu item options, though prices were a bit high if you went to their top tier menu items. I like that they make fresh pasta and their Caesar salad was good size. (they should try to cut lettuce into 1/2 the size they serve it). Drink prices are a bit over expectations, but was good. Efficient and good. Get's pretty busy, but parking garage is 2 doors down from them and is free the first hour, and then $3/hr, but downtown gets busy!

We LOVE Alavita. It’s our go to place for special occasions. We usually bring our out of town guests because we feel it’s reflective of the best of Boise. The food is always beautifully prepared and the service is spot on. We love the change up on the menu and the specialty cocktails. Alavita never disappoints.

Everything truly outstanding. We had: Grilled Artichoke Hearts Burrata with apricot cherry mostarda was insanely good Fennel & Arugula Salad - bright, acidic and delicious after the previous fatty Tagliatelle -solid Black Ravioli - “best ravioli I’ve ever eaten. I want to come back for my birthday.” says 76 year old cook Warm mushroom salad - never had anything like it. Umami plus acid. Incredible. Boudin- very yummy.

We've eaten at Fork a number of times when in Boise previously. When I found out Alavita was a sister restaurant, I wanted to try it. The staff and food were even better than I had hoped. Our server suggested the Parmesan gelato, which was delicious. We had a couple of different Manhattans, both were tasty! We had pasta and scallops for the entrees. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted great. It was a great environment and the whole restaurant has a good energy. We will definitely be back, next time we are in Boise.

I went to Àlavita a few years ago and I thought it was amazing. This time around it was just okay, but bad for the price. The risotto was super salty and had a bit too much garlic, and the waitress kept pouring water into it after she filled up my cup. The Black Ravioli was flavorful though.

I've lived in Boise since 1997. This was hands down the best dining experience I've had here. Also, we recently traveled to Italy and Alavita rivaled the food there, believe it or not! Tina was a terrific server, super sweet and helpful offering the perfect suggestions. The food was so yummy and I don't eat gluten so that's saying something. Truly excellent food and atmosphere. A beautiful restaurant & an intimate dining experience. A perfect birthday dinner. Thank you!

We have eaten at Alavita many times and always had an excellent and delicious experience but this visit wasn't quite as outstanding. We started with the calamari and it was remarkable! One of the best we've ever eaten. We followed with Caesar salads which were okay, but not as tasty as usual. The lettuce was somewhat soggy and croutons tasted like stale store-bought ones. My husband had the daily risotto special topped with spicy sausage which was excellent and extremely flavorful. I had the Tagliatelle with bolognese sauce which I usual love here. This time the pasta was gummy and stuck together in one big clump in the bowl. I was so disappointed as this is a dish I look forward to every time we come to Boise. Not sure why the salad and pasta dishes weren't up to snuff this time around. Debating whether to go back to Alavita when we're in Boise next time or try a new restaurant. Hoping it was simply a bad night one-off.

It was a lovely display of flavors and textures. The attention to detail in plating, the velvet textures in the sauces. I honestly thought it was going to be more expensive. I think next time I would prefer to not sit by the open windows but it was amazing.

We tried Alavita for the first time. The service was excellent and we all thought the salads we had were good. The cocktails were fun and had some unique flavors. Unfortunately we were all disappointed in the main dishes. 2 of us had the black ravioli and it was just not very good. It was incredibly bland and tasted like a canned Alfredo sauce has been poured over some frozen ravioli. the braised short ribs were very dry and tasted liked over cooked pot roast with no sauce. We wanted to like this place as we had been to Fork and liked it. But I just can't see going back as there are much better Italian food to be had in Boise.
