Chad Robertson & Chris Bianco have hit it out of the park at Alameda Supper Club! We went for DineLA, and enjoyed the full prix fixe menu (sans the wine pairing - $30 add'l). For $49 per person, a full 3 -course menu did not disappoint. Of course, the bread was out of this world. Coraline endive salad was crunchy and delicious, topped with blue cheese and house-made rye croutons. The arancini was delicious as well with sweet chunks of ham and sweet corn tucked into the fluffy and cheesy centers. Fresh pasta with golden tomato and fresh basil was out of this world, and the bream with tarragon aioli sea succulents was light and savory. Dessert consisted of devil's food cake (4 layers of choccy decadence!) with a scoop of laurel ice cream that you have to taste to believe, and then 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream with a hazelnut crumble and balsamic drizzle... OUT OF THIS WORLD! Service was fantastic and all courses are well timed. The staff is very well versed on the menu and the wine selections, and they are readily available to offer descriptions and suggestions to complement each dish.
Can't wait to go back to try the regular menu - everything looks amazing.
Great food, warm setting, delightful service. A terrific addition to the LA dining scene.
Well-orchestrated. Very knowledgeable waiter. Ate during DineLA Week and opted for the pre fixe menu, which was delightful.
Great food, amazing service and the wine selection is incredible.
It's my third time visiting and eating and I still can't get enough! My wife and I decided to take my in laws to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. Man! The consistency and creativity is outstanding!
We had their country bread of course from Tartine
The ham and cheddar toast - what a great first round
Endive salad with rye bread croutons! Get this every time!
We ordered 3 pasta dishes
Spaghetti - fresh tomato sauce with a good balance of basil
Their Meyer lemon version of cacio Pepe
Sweet corn ravioli - best dish so far
Sea breem with the crispy skin
Melt in your mouth black cod
Finished off with amazing desserts
Cannoli dipped in pistachios
The must get off they still have Panna cotta with raspberry gremolata and blackberries
The olives were good. The charcuterie plate was good but nothing extraordinary. Bought a few slices of their bread to eat with the charcuterie. Bread was awesome.
The cavatelli and strozzapreti were cooked perfectly. Cavatelli was a touch salty but still tasty, and there was a lot of leftover oil in the bowl. Cod was moist and tender but slightly bland. Required extra basting in the colatura. Broccoli with nduja was an usually large portion compared to the other dishes, but it was tasty, more so the crowns that absorbed the flavor from the nduja than the stems. Chocolate cake was amazing. Hands down the best thing we had there. Would go back for the pasta, bread, and dessert.
We had a lovely evening on the outdoor patio. Food was excellent, service pleasant and efficient.
Excellent food. A tad pricey. Had a problem getting our of the parking garage.
Rude with an awful attitude!
Menu is not extensive but what they offer, they excel at.
Chefs are on it. Looks like a great team from where we were sitting
It was amazing!
Food is excellent. Service is very good. The ambience of the place is good, quiet. The bar scene is good.
Definite will visit again.
Everything was great! Love the charcuterie plate and the red leicester on the tortelloni was extra special!
I can't wait to come back!!
If you are coming to eat famous pizza you should turn around. What you find here is that Chris Bianco is not a one trick pony. The space inside and out is gorgeous, the service is friendly and unpretentious and the menu is focused and delivers a great mix of classic Italian with a California twist. Bianco's well known obsession with attention to detail and sourcing supreme ingredients manifests itself in nearly every dish on the menu. The prices aren't cheap and they shouldn't be for a project as ambitious and well intentioned as The Manufacturory and Alameda Supper Club. We will be back soon.
The wine service was out of sync and inattentive. Starters and pastas were excellent but the entrees were just above average.
Awesome food fresh and delicious!
We had great service and an all around fabulous experience at the alameda supper club!
We had to wait about 30 minutes to get seated despite our reservation however the food and service was so fantastic that it was easy to forget we had to wait.
Food was outstanding. Homemade bread melts in your mouth. Not to be missed. Our server Janet made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Parking validated as well for 2 hours so very easy access within complex.
I love the ambiance and the food was out of this world! The lamb belly was amazing and the pasta is so perfect I had the tortellini and spaghetti! Also you must get the country bread and butter!
Enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. I was a bit surprised when we were taken to a communal table as I had made the reservations way in advance and had not been asked if a communal table would be acceptable to my group. It was a bit awkward but we were informed that if we'd wait at the bar for about 10 minutes, we could then have a private table.
The food is delicious, but the serving size is relatively small for the price. We started with the bread, it was four pieces for $6. It would have been nice to have some bread to use with the sauce in some of the dishes, but we did not want to order more. The spaghetti was really tasty, but the size was more like a side dish for one person at other restaurants. You probably need two or three orders to split between four people. There were six ravioli, black cod was medium sized. Grilled mushrooms and broccoli were really tasty, but both over $10. Chocolate cake was great too.
If you want really tasty food and don't need large portions, this is a place you should try.
Food was excellent. A lot of unexpected combinations in the drinks too like the Celine Dijon which had a hint of dijon mustard. I'm being picky regarding the service as it slowed a little as the evening went on. Otherwise top notch. Reminded me of the early days of Shoreditch with a mix of huge industrial spaces being converted to studio spaces and a pioneering spirit in eateries nearby. Will come back for sure!
Excellent drinks, food, service and BREAD!
Very good overall
Perfectly cooked piece of fish and pasta and good bar
Tricky to find even with GPS
Incredible food, great service - we loved it.
The lamb belly was awful! There was a table being very loud and quite frankly rude next to us and ruined our dinner.
This was our first visit to ASC and we will come back as they are still settling into this place. We started with the oysters with chive oil, different and quite good. We then had a the green salad followed by the raviolis with ricotta and fresh peas. Our main course was the sea bream with agretti. Finally for dessert we had the devils food cake. The stars were the sea bream and the devils food cake then the oysters. The pasta was not particularly special nor the salad as better pastas and salads can be had at several restaurants in the Art's District or Silverlake, often for less as well. The wine selection is small especially wines by the glass with steep prices as is the corkage fee ($25).
Outside seating calm and quiet, great ambiance. Way too loud inside, even though stylish and physically comfortable. Dishes and drinks original, beautiful, delicious, served with attention and true hospitality. Bread is, of course, divine.
The food was tasty and good, but it didn't feel at all special. The cocktails were delicious. Why it took a half hour to get to our (reserved!) table, and another half an hour to get bread and salami, was baffling to me. The service was overall slow.
Looking forward to returning! Food was interesting and delicious.
As customers, we find the new trend of charging an extra percentage for kitchen help offensive and in poor taste. This new trend is minimizing the percentage given to the servers. We will not be part of this trend, as these costs should not be passed to the customer who already is paying substantially for a dinner out.
I'm not sure we will be returning to this restaurant.
The food is amazing and the restaurant is lovely! Their portions are awesome for sharing except their starters.
The service was terrible and impolite..Being pushed to order while trying to enjoy a very expensive bottle of wine.. being pushed to leave even though the restaurant had empty tables.. We had our plates picked up before we were finished... we were trying to enjoy our second very expensive bottle of wine...and got dropped the dessert menu and then got badgered to order.. then they took menus away and wouldn’t even come back to the table.
We had a bill over $600.00 and they were making our group feel like a bother and turn the table for ghost customers..
They should work on service before trying to be another LA restaurant that thinks having your servers act like snobs and goes out of business...Too much great food in LA to tolerate bad behavior.. Potential but in need of a retrain of their FOH team
Attentive service, delicious food, terrific atmosphere
I can’t wait to return.
Absolutely wonderful evening of incredible food and service and the space is just perfection in every way.
Place and ambiance was great! Ample parking available, spacious , interesting place lots of lil stores and restaurant around !
Limited menu I guess they are just starting up ! The lasagna sounds good and smells good but quite disappointing as it was too dry ! The crab pasta was ok , good wine selections great service , limited choice in desserts and appetizers
Will try again later if there will be some changes !! But a good place to explore!!
We loved Alameda. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The Tartine folks and Chris Bianco have a winner!
Bar tender was exceptional. We loved the oysters and the lamb belly. The ravioli was also an amazing dish.
All of the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. The help in picking a wine was great and the pacing of the dishes was optimal. Just a great dining experience.
