Excellent vibe and food. Amazing spot for a great birthday dinner! I loved the brunch option and the drinks were so good. I’ll be back for sure!
alais a spectacular restaurant. Gorgeous ambiance, delicious and unique cuisine, and above all outstanding service.
Their $39brunch menu was pricey, but it was a great way to try dukkah benedict and Levantine fusion delights in unmatched authenticity. Our waitress was so attentive, I almost felt like I was disappointing her by not ordering more food!
We will be back again, and again, and again!
We went for the first time on Sunday. We had theziyafet experience and it was so good! I even ate Dukkah Chicken ! so yes...go try them out. You will not be disappointed!
I visited this place with my husband and we both loved the food and amazing cocktails. Wed definitely come back again!
The food was amazing! You should try ziyafet deal, coming with 2 cold 2 hot dishes. Love all !!
Everything was amazing you should try this spot! They are doing an amazing job so far.
Great service, food, ambience and hospitality. We really appreciate you for this amazing dinner!
You should try this new spot, perfect ambiance fabulous food, and great service. Thanks to G he did a great job!
It was an amazing experience! You should try this new spot!!
First time here on Valentine's Day evening. We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and we enjoyed our evening there.
Great service despite being busy during brunch time, and our server brought out the most popular dishes for the bottomless brunch (so we didn't have to make decisions) and it was all wonderful!
Outdoor patio was much too cold.
The experience given by Kim was great. We got to enjoy w lovely dinner. The hummus and salmon was so delicious! I enjoyed every bite. Will definitely be back again.
Easy to reserve a table via their website. Food was divine and the service was great. Our server was super sweet and was checking on us very often! Since we visited during the restaurant week, we could order up to eight courses so our server was very helpful and recommended great dishes.
Best restaurant week in DC that I have been to so far! The food was amazing, but the service was even more amazing! Our waitress was the best:)
Everything was very nice. I came for restaurant week and it was such a great deal. The food was so good. My favorites were the spinach and feta flatbread and the lebaneh was to die for!
Food was incredible, ambience was great, nice and cozy inside on a cold night
Wow! A small plate and craft cocktail paradise. The cocktails were superb and the food is flavorful. My favorite dish is the hummus and halloumi. The cozy and aesthetically pleasing ambiance makes you feel like you aren’t in DC's regular restaurants anymore. You know a restaurant is good when you are planning your next visit back before you’ve even left the table!
We really enjoyed the food and drinks. The customer service was phenomenal. A great overall experience and I would definitely return for another meal. Parking is not a problem in this area since street parking is free all around DC. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
Ate here randomly last night and it was incredible! The food was out of this world and large portions for the price. We had two appetizers and shared the main course and had leftovers. Also, great service for being shorter staffed during Covid.
Ankara is a hidden gem. Wonderful Turkish/Mediterranean dishes — a vegetarian, pescatarian, and/ or vegan’s heaven. The small plates/tapas style brunch allows you the ability to enjoy a little bit of everything and figure out what you’d like more of.
Amazing 🥳🥳
Cabin fever finally got the better of us, so we headed Downtown to see the Inaugural preps. We were looking for a place with outdoor dining and a good selection. The all-day brunch deal at Ankara is terrific. Lots of choices, lots of variety, and all the small plates are well-prepared and tasty. We ate in a little garden shed type structure, with the door open for air circulation. We left feeling well taken care of, well fed, and crossing our fingers that Ankara, like so many places in DC, will be able to hang on until we can eat out normally again.
Great for happy hour and bottomless brunch! Great staff too
Always a solid spot for brunch. Friendly service, excellent food. I love the proportions are just the right size, not too big, not too small which means you get the chance to sample a nice selection of different plates.
Ankara is always a great experience for me and my friends. This will be my third time dining with them and they always nail the food right on and the service is unbeatable. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for an outdoor, safe, heated space that also includes a fabulous bottomless brunch!
The food was expensive and it wasn’t good. We paid a lot for non-quality food
The food is excellent here and their bottomless brunch is quite a deal! I just wish the server had a bit of help on pouring mimosas because she couldn't keep up.
COVID precautions are excellent. Individual bathrooms inside, very clean and clearly marked.
This was our second time eating at Ankara, and it will not be our last. Coming from a Turkish background, the food and atmosphere were very authentic. The food was very good, we especially enjoyed the Pastirma Pide and the Lahmacun. The bottomless mimosas are very generous, which was appreciated. Turkish coffee was excellent, as was the tea. They have little green houses set up with heaters and tables so that some comfort can be achieved while still dining outside. Baklava is made with pistachio which delighted my Turkish mother. Our waiter, Jesus, was excellent and very attentive.
It was very nice to sit in a greenhouse, like a tent, and have the waiter visit a few times. The food was good, especially the chocolate tahini dessert.
Brandon and Berk were both great. Really enjoyed everything. Good food and drink.
Excellent service & food as always - thank you for making my birthday special!
We keep going back there. My non-Turkish friends are really impressed with this restaurant. The food, the ambiance are both excellent. The service is very good. This was our first time for brunch and it did not disappoint, either. We loved it!
Kim was our server and she was amazing 😁😁
Food was great and customer service was great
Great food and amazing waitstaff. Sat outside for brunch and it was great. Only complaint was other patrons who could be a bit less responsible about distance and masks, especially after a few mimosas. Recommend but be careful to avoid other guests if go. Outside space, however was great.
Well meant but badly executed Mediterranean dishes. The kofte was overcooked, patates (potatoes) too oily, and the dolma leaves tough and veiny. Best was the cocktail, Levante, with pomegranate. However, even that was ruined as the server seemed to have the idea that I should drink the cocktail with my dishes; my request to serve the appetizers after I finish the cocktail was ignored. Then I ordered a beer, which didn’t arrive until my last bite of the kofte.
We enjoyed the socially distanced “greenhouses” they did outside. Food was delicious - especially the “tandir” and lsigara borek”... We will definitely be back.
Small plates dining with delicious food. Everything our group had tasted great. Also a very safe environment and a very friendly server with menus available via QR code. I will come back.
Staff was great and pleasant. Food was really good. 2nd time there and will definitely be back.
