Dinner at Al Wadi Boston can be a thoroughly enjoyable feast with the Mezza variety vegetarian and meat options that both include an amazing array of house specialties and chef selected favorites. Dinner offerings include beef and lamb kebabs, eggplant moussaka and a vegetarian platter. A special delicacy is the pumpkin kibbeh which features two pumpkin puree layers along with spinach, chick peas and onions. So very happy this gem of a Lebanese restaurant survived and continues to make incredible authentic Lebanese food.
We ordered the prix fixe sampler plate for two, it would have served three amply! The fatoush salad was so fresh it might have been harvested from the garden the moment we ordered.
The chicken soup was a lesson in how chicken soup should be made. Our server was perfect; cordial and helpful, we would have been happy to have her join us. If you are not familiar with Lebanese food, I highly recommend getting this excellent platter of rice, chicken kabob, lamb, and 2 other types of meat, perfectly cooked rice, stuffed grape leaves. Dessert and Turkish coffee were also delicious.
I have eaten at Al Wadi quite a few times and chose it as a treat for a special friend.
We chose the meal for two. The amount of food was very generous. Multiple courses starting with soup and ending with dessert. Each dish was very flavorful. Highly recommend.
My wife and I have been here 4-5 times. The food is incredible. We had the prix fix meal to have an assortment of appetizers, main and dessert. It's a great choice, and pretty inexpensive. While we were there a table broke out in spontaneous Lebanese songs which was incredible. The staff is very attentive and helpful. I can't say enough about the food...if you like Middle Eastern / Lebanese you will not be disappointed, easily the best in Boston.
Very tasty, a great variety of vegetarian options
It was very good. This wasn't our first time there, and it will definitely not be the last.
We love the food here. Service was quick and simple (we’re still in covid times so I appreciate that). Wife had wine and I had a Lebanese beer which was nice. Overall a very nice date night.
Very good food and variety. The ambience was fantastic.
The food was fresh and authentic and healthy..
The service was outstanding.
Shared an appetizer and entree. Plenty of delicious food at a reasonable price.
Always great food and great service. If you want a good taste of what Middle Eastern food is this is the place to go in Boston
He went above and beyond what they needed to do. Food was great service was great. attentive without being overbearing
Shared the combo platter, more than enough for 2 people.
Everything was amazing we will return
My wife and I go here frequently, because it is so close to home, never crowded, staffed by wonderful people, and they always seem to have exotic and delicious Middle Eastern dinner specials. Each item features a flavorful combination of spices that I have, on occasion, tried to recreate at home...
Fantastic authentic food and cool, relaxing environment. Great beer selection for Lebanese beer.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Don’t leave without trying the baklava
Excellent service, outstanding food. A must try if you're in the Dedham/West Roxbury area!
First time and found it to be very friendly, comfortable, and with very good, traditional Lebanese cuisine. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
Wonderful dinner as always!
Fantastic food and service! We will definitely be going back!
We did all mezza with no entrees. The dressing on the Mediterranean salad is so simple yet so delicious. (I think the sumac in it elevates it.) Fried cauliflower with tahini sauce and cabbage stuffed with meats and pine nuts were standouts. Grilled halloumi, meat stuffed pastries--everything was tasty.
Delish! We chose the prix fixe which was a ton of food for two of us. I can't wait to go back and get my own dish!
Great time had by all. Thank you!
Food is excellent!! Music was a little loud. Service was okay. But all made up for by the delicious food!!
A nice restaurant, though I'm no expert on Lebanese cuisine. Sadly not very many people for a Friday night but we enjoyed it.
Since being introduced to Al Wadi about a year ago this has become one of my favorite restaurants. I love mideastern food and they have a wide variety of delicious menu items. If you don't know what to order I recommend starting with the Al Wadi sampler for an introduction. We usually start there and then share a few main dishes. I recommend going with a few others so you can sample and share as the dishes are fairly large for one person. All the chicken, beef and lamb dishes as well as vegetarian are great.
Outstanding service and food. my wife and I have been coming here for our anniversary for the past six years.
There for Valentine’s Day with my wife. The food was good and the prices were fair. After eating we waited for 40 minutes to pay our check though. The only saving grace was that there was live entertainment so at least we weren’t bored while we waited
They really went all out for Valentine's day. Belly dancer and a Sax/clarinet musician. It was so romantic and the specials were excellent.
One of the nicest dinners I've had in a while! This is a lovely restaurant right off the VFW Parkway. They take reservations and also have a parking lot, which was great. Inside it's spacious yet intimate, and the decor is simple and elegant. The people and service were welcoming and wonderful.
Every dish we ordered tasted like home, was generously portioned, and just so yummy. We started off with the Al Wadi sampler, which offered delicious bites of different apps. Highlights included the baba ghanoush, kibbeh, hummus, grape leaves and herbed cheese sticks. The labneh was also amazing. For my entree I got the shrimp kebabs, and they were perfectly cooked. They came with a mound of rice pilaf plus a tasty fatoush salad that had one of the best dressings I've had in a while -- so fresh and crisp! For dessert we split the knefeh, which is breaded cheese served with rosewater syrup and fresh fruit. It was just the right amount of sweet to end the meal.
We will definitely be returning!
Great food and great service. Highly recommended !!!
I meant to write that is was QUIET and lovely at Al Wadi.
Warm ambiance, spotless dinnerware and glassware, attentive staff, delicious food! Wonderful experience!
I really recommend this place.
The food is delicious and the place is clean.
Delicious food and outstanding service !
New years eve
As always at AlWadi, everything was perfect! Food is delicious and staff very welcoming & friendly.
We are repeat customers. Food and service were very good. On the evening we were at Al Wadi, a wedding party was in the restaurant or a celebratory meal, which, in combination with the music, created a loud environment. Wish we had known of that group in advance. Otherwise, an enjoyable experience.
Everyone says I've driven by that place a million times....... Well if you're up for trying something new stop and try this hidden in plain site "gem". Fresh food made from awesome ingredients that fill all your senses with exotic spices and flavors. I brought some friends for dinner on Saturday night and they were super surprised and cant wait to go back. The lamb meatballs with fresh homemade Tazatziki were the winner!
