Al Wadi Boston
Al Wadi Boston is a Lebanese restaurant providing the West Roxbury area a unique ethnic food experience. Lunch offerings include beef and lamb kebabs, lamb stew, moussaka and a vegetarian platter. A special delicacy is the pumpkin kibbeh which features two pumpkin puree layers along with spinach, chick peas and onions.
Dinner at Al Wadi Boston can be a thoroughly enjoyable feast with the Al Wadi for two meal or the dinner prix fixe that both include an amazing array of house specialties and chef selected favorites. Be sure to save room for one of the Al Wadi Boston special desserts including the knefe with its sweet cheese, semolina crust and syrup made from rose water.
Great food and great atmosphere, strongly recommend and will go back.
Friendly people and delicious foof
Relaxed, vibe with great selection of wines and beer from around the globe. Delicious selection of middle eastern mezze and full entrees. They offer a prix fixe menu and daily specials. I order a daily special which was a yummy stew with lamb, artichokes and root vegetables. Portions are large, service quick and friendly.
I'd recommend this place, delicious good and a reasonable price for your food.
One of the best and most authentic Lebanese restaurants in Boston. Very warm and inviting people.
Al Wadi was a terrific surprise. It’s all about the food. Go with friends, share, talk, enjoy!
Sampler plate was quite good, though the pita bread was subpar. The three entrees were very good. Portions were very generous, and we continued to enjoy them at home in the following days. The service was very good. The place was quiet Sunday evening, with few tables occupied. Don't know what the noise level is when this expansive restaurant is fully occupied. Greatly recommended!
I am a fan and have been going to Al Wadi's for many years. The food is always fresh and delicious! The staff is responsive to dietary needs and there is a wide selection of vegetarian and meat options. People are always friendly and the atmosphere is lovely and comfortable. It's a great place to meet friends and relax for a delicious meal!
Food was delicious, service was perfectly attentive but not hovering, we had a great evening!
The food is always excellent but the server and assistant where superb always there when we need something without intruding
Very nice place to have a nice quiet dinner after a long week. Great "date night" place to go.
Food is awesome.
Yummy!!! Really enjoyed!
We are here for the first time this Sunday and really enjoyed it. We shared the Meza platter. Haluomi and Chicken and Steak Kabobs. All the food was freshly prepared and tasty. Very nice ambience with white tableclothes and very good service. Would recommend and go back.
Great authentic middle eastern food. Service was excellent. Limited cocktail menu some of the dishes were a little pricey but not enough to discourage I'll will be going back Nice atmosphere
Food is amazin
Waitress was excellent very polite and attentive
We had a large graduation party and the staff was so attentive and helpful with ordering. The food was FABULOUS and the baklava is one of the best I have ever had. Thank you!
Yes I would recommend to friends and family. Large parties seemed to easily be served as well as the smaller ones. The wait staff are very friendly.
The service was horrible. But the food was good
While the food was good. Our server was stiff, rude and reluctant to our requests. The brought wrong orders all the time. And when we asked for tea, she brought us mint tea without really asking ask ! We kept asking for water all the time too!
Excellent middle eastern food. Service was very good, and had a very good arak, if u like it and the almazza beer.
The food here is absolutely delicious, and the ambiance makes for a romantic dinner, or just a nice dinner with friends, where conversation is easily heard.
Excellent food and service
We have never had a bad meal at Al Wadi. We have been there several times since we moved to the area, the staff is always very welcoming and attentive. Again, the food is amazing!
Food is delicious! Fantastic selection of Lebanese wines. Nice decor and ambiance.
Great quiet place to eat. Food is excellent and the staff very helpful.
The food was good, but not great. The waitstaff was also good. However, the evening ended on a bad note. I had ordered a bottle of wine that was priced at $30 or $32 dollars on the wine list. When the bill came, the price was $40. I questioned the waitress, and she came back with several copies of the wine list where the lower price was covered with White Out. Nevertheless, that was not the case with the copy of the wine list that was given to us with the menus. The waitress talked with the manager who said the price was $40 and apparently couldn't be bothered to come to the table and talk to me. To her credit, the waitress did apologize. At that point I payed the bill and left. I have better things to do with my time that try and scam the restaurant for $10. All I wanted was an acknowledgement from the restaurant management. Since the manager couldn't be bothered, Al Wadi has lost three customers.
The restaurant is clean and spacious.
The food is always fresh and delicious.
The service is prompt and attentive.
What more could you ask for??
We always enjoy Al Wadi, whether it’s family and friends or the unfortunate mercy meal. The food is fresh, flavorful and a great value. We enjoyed the Kibbe Naye, fattoush, and the sampler and it was plenty with dessert. Palestinian beer was delicious too.
I was very pleased with the level of service and accommodating nature for our party of 14 and 2 rambunctious kids.
Al Wadi is located in a suburban area of Boston, although still in the city limits. The ambience is most pleasant - nice decor, white tablecloths and napkins. The wait staff is most pleasant. The food is generous and delicious. Two diners had lamb shank which came with sauteed/grilled vegetables and rice. They pronounced it delicious while working diligently to finish the meal. One diner had stuffed cabbage which she said was satisfactory. She took half her meal home, intending to give it a dash of spice and sauce. My choice of lamb kabobs was excellent. Although they came more well done than the medium rare I had ordered, they were delicious and plentiful, served on a bed (enormous) of rice. The basket of pita bread was only satisfactory - thin, cold and chewy. Every meal that went by looked delicious and most plates went back empty!
We've been to Al Wadi a number of times, and this was a disappointing visit. Food wasn't quite as good as in the past -- chicken kebabs were undercooked or oddly textured, a Lebanese wine we ordered seemed off, and some of the apps weren't as good as I recall. The server was well meaning but not trained and a bit indifferent. The place never had much atmosphere, and they've tried with dimmer lighting (good move), but it was about half full and lacked any vibe. It's still pretty good and a relaxed local spot, so we will doubtless return.
Restaurant nearly empty but waitress still had trouble getting our order right the entire evening. She seemed not very interested in getting it right. This was second time I’ve eaten at Al Wadi, first time was better but not sure I’ll go back. Hard to understand with only a dozen people in Restaurant how they couldn’t be more attentive. Plus, around 8:30 the staff turned tv up very loud and banging chairs around- clearly it was time for us to go despite being a quiet table of three. Disappointed.
Appetizers were outstanding. Main dishes were not bad, but not as good as appetizers. Portions were huge.
My wife and I love Al Wadi. The food is authentic and fresh. We usually order a mix of veg and meat mezze so we can enjoy a variety of flavors.
Recommendations are the hummus, grape leaves, kabobs, and the best of the menu is the cauliflower. Lightly fried then covered in a sesame dressing. Ordered every time and never disappointment.
Wonderful Middle Eastern food in a pleasant environment. The service is good.
As usual our evening with friends was perfect.
Great service. delicious food, a lovely evening.
Food is always amazing, fresh & delicious. Not to much ambiance, but quiet enough that you can hear conversation with your table. Staff very accommodating. Hashwe rice is the best,
