Al pastor never disappoints!! Food, service, ambiance is awesome!!
Disappointing that you can’t select different taco combos. They’re so good so it would be nice to pick a few of each.
Felt like the waitress worked at a different restaurant. She seemed to be training someone, but didn’t know the menu that well (what sides were offered, etc).
Need better desserts for sure.
The happy hour specials, food and drinks were great!
Food, drinks and service were all great. Will definitely put the restaurant into our regular rotation.
The menu is extremely limited. It was so loud that I had to shout across the table so my dining partner could hear me. Our food came out before our drinks and before we were given a napkin and utensils. I was close to finishing my dinner by the time our drinks arrived. My dining companion had to get up and get our server to bring us salt and drink refills.
I have celiac disease, and I feel so safe eating here! The staff are all so kind and caring and careful. The food is amazing. We love this place!
I want to love this place and keep giving it chances, yet keep coming away disappointed. The food is great and the staff is friendly, so I’m not sure where the breakdown is, but something isn’t working. Tonight I ordered a drink and two kids’ lemonades. It took about 20 min to be told that they no longer had my drink but they had more now and it would be right out (I would have ordered something else had she told me sooner!). The lemonades still were not out at this point. About 10 minutes after that we’re told they’re out of lemonade. So at least 30 minutes after ordering to be told that they didn’t have lemonade... which wasn’t a big deal but it would have been nice to know 30 minutes ago. Then, my meal was delivered and it was at least 20 more minutes before the kids’ pizza came out. Thankfully i had ordered chips for them to munch on while they waited. Overall, their was so off and I had to keep reminding the server - she didn’t give automatic updates. I will say, once you get your food it’s great. But this isn’t the first time we’ve had long wait times and poor timing delivering food and drinks, so I’m sad to say I think this was our last time going to Al Pastor.
Glad happy hour is back!
I am a repeat customer and usually love my experience. However, I was disappointed to learn that they had removed most of the entrees and became more of a tapas restaurant.
I had another great experience at Al Pastor! The food is delicious, fresh and reasonable. The service is friendly and the atmosphere was bubbly but not too loud that you can't hear.
We absolutely love this gem of a restaurant! I could eat here every day. Delicious, fun atmosphere, great service, wonderful drinks. Perfect in every way!
Wine selection has gone from extensive to red, white and rose. The red was pretty bad. Food was good but cold. Lots going on last night but we have had better service in past visits. Hopefully the bad food, bad service at Brickside is not rubbing off at AlPastor.
It was fun to go celebrate anniversary and enjoy a great family time.
Fun menu, not the most polished but quick service. May have live music for outside seating.
Awesome food and ambiance!!
Mother’s Day last minute reservation for party of 6 including to little ones. Great service, well spaced out and well lit (lunch time).
Not a “dining experience “ OK food. Very young and inexperienced servers and staff. Our orders were confused with others and came out piece meal so one would have their dinner while the others waited. Then just one more would be delivered while others sat with nothing.
I’m sure it’s hard hiring servers now but the food didn’t make up for the disjointed service
Food was delicious! I felt like I was in Mexico. Loved it!
great margaritas!!! food was very good! it was a bit loud. service was a bit confused. but overall, a great lunch! 😋
Everything was delicious & the service outstanding.
Service was slow, food was slow, out of food options. Mixed drinks were a little off. But the server was nice! The manager was amazing! And I’d try again!
Jackson was great!
Great food and appetizers. Service was friendly and attentive. Owners were circulating and greeting guests. Lots of fun!!
The food was very good. The fajita pizza was outstanding. It was a beautiful night to sit outside. Ambiance was great. Our server must have been new. I’ll leave it at that. Will definitely be back.
What a disappointment. My memory of Al Pastor was delicious, but this experience did not match that memory.
On the plus side, the outdoor dining hit the spot. The beautiful restaurant interior, which opens to the outside, is a great feature in these pandemic times.
As for the food, it was a big miss. My companion and I shared empanadas. The crust was dry and over-baked. The predominant ingredient was...pickled cabbage.
We both had the big kahuna burrito. All the ingredients were tightly packed inside, including the crema, salsa, and mango muerte sauce. I expected something, the crema or salsa, to be on the outside. Beware of the mango muerte sauce; it is Very hot. It was not the best burrito I ever had. It was accompanied by a nice size salad, but I could not eat the salad because it was drowning in salt. Why does a salad have to be so heavily salted? Salt is not even healthy.
We didn't have drinks, and weren't offered dessert.
All in all, it's adios to Al Pastor.
Great atmosphere and great food! Best margaritas!
We went here with my family to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. We were able to sit outside and safely spaced away from other parties. I eat dairy free and they were really accommodating. We ordered guacamole and it came with cheese on top, and were happy to replace it when I said I could not eat it.
I take 1 star off because my moms tacos (sweet potato) took a really really long time to come out. They did take them off the bill, which we appreciated. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the cauliflower tacos without the aioli and crema. I LOVED the cauliflower tacos. My boyfriend got one of the pizzas and really enjoyed it.
We also really enjoyed the live music and location.
Al pastor was awesome! The queso and guacamole appetizers were perfect to start with. Then the big kahuna burrito was the perfect meal. Add the pitcher of guava margaritas and blackberry mojitos and we were set! Must try for everyone!
We love eating at Al Pastor! The food is always super fresh, delicious and reliable every time. Fun cocktails as well. Good happy hour specials also. Offering trivia one time a week has been such a great event to look forward to!
Good as always but still feel cheated only get 2 tacos not 3 like used to.
My first cocktail had a fruit fly in it. The drink was replaced. The taste was off.
Overall the food was mediocre. Fish tacos, the fish was over cooked. The cauliflower taco was good.
The service was amazing but the fad was not that good at all. The chicken tacos were very very dry and the fish tacos were soggy. Fish was not fresh either. Shame
Again, service was on point, but the food just wasn’t.
Nice outside area. Staff are very friendly. The food was okay for us. The guac was our favorite dish out of a quesadilla, pork belly tacos, the big kahuna burrito amd fajita pizza. Definitely pay attention to the descriptions of what you order. Nothing is marked as spicy/non spicy. My boyfriend ordered the big kahuna not realizing "mango muerte" might kill his stomach, which it totally did.
Not sure how you can possibly be “out of queso” at such a restaurant. Suggesting the “elote” was certainly not comparable. Very rushed service. Disappointed because I’ve been here numerous times. The guest I brought with me will not be returning.
Trivia night run very well
Service was terrible. Warm drinks cold food. Bartender clearly didn’t know how to make drinks. Never received the second drink we ordered had to flag down waitress to even order it.
Everything was great. The service and food were very good. Good value too
Miss happy hour! Was a wind tunnel so cooler night outside but heat lamps helped.
We had a great experience on Saturday night! Was surprised to snag a table for 7:00 because every table was taken! Great to see during these tough times. We are not huge fans of the chips and salsa here especially having to pay for them. Started with cauliflower tacos (they were amazing as usual)to share as an appetizer then tried for the first time the Fajita pizza which was absolutely delicious! Our server was outstanding, so friendly and professional. We live in the neighborhood and love the ease of walking to our neighborhood restaurants after a day of work and walking away feeling very satisfied.
Was good but the bathrooms were very dirty including excessive dust on the fan and fixture.
