Al Dente Restaurant
LOVE the pumpkin ravioli!!!
We go to Al Dente once a year right after Thanksgiving with friends. We have never had a bad meal and as far as I’m concerned they are the best restaurant in the North End. The creme limoncello they give you at the end is a perfect end to a perfect meal.
The food was very good and they had a gluten free menu. Would go back in a heart beat.
Great service and delicious food for all 7 of us.
Seated in time with reservation.
Food was delicious and plentiful at a better than expected cost. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, without being annoying. It’s a smaller place so expect some noise, but definitely recommended!
A small but charming place, the food was terrific. Parking is an other story!
The best Lobster Ravioli and Chicken Francese. The staff our great, as returning customers we have gotten to know them. Angela is the best server, makes you feel welcomed each visit even if we don't always get her.
Our server made our experience awesome! She was friendly, fun, fast and on target. The pasta was delicious. The portions were large and could be shared or you could bring your own containers for leftovers. We will be back.
We had a great experience! The pasta was fresh and homemade. I felt they were reasonably priced and the meal was delicious.
I would not recommending coming here if there is a game at the Garden. This restaurant definitely crammed in extra tables to get as many game-goers as possible in there. As a result, we sat right beside the door and were frozen every ten minutes as people came in and out. If the food had been incredible, I wouldn't have minded so much, as this isn't the first time I've been in tight quarters in the North End. However, the food was just ok. We weren't even offered coffee after dinner as they were trying to turn over tables and get as many customers in there as they could. Not a particularly pleasant dinner experience and I can't say I'll be rushing back.
Anytime we eat there, it’s always outstanding.
Had a reservation for 6:00 and they could not seat us until 6:15. That was also agreeing to set with another couple at a table for four. Food was good, place was busy and it was a decent experience.
Somewhat noisy with pretty tight seating due to small size of dining room. The great food and service more than make up for the limitations of the venue--definitely recommended!!
I very cozy restaurant with amazing food. If you are a Celiac looking for good Gluten free italian pasta, this is the place to go. Amazing GF gnocci!
Food was delicious, we had the pumpkin ravioli and chicken parm.
I have been coming up annually with a group of college friends for many years! This year, we had 9 people and everyone left full and happy! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. For party's over 4 I would make a reservation as it is a small place.
Delicious pasta and gluten free gnocchi!
We went for an early lunch and it was wonderful! We will be back and it is very quiet if you go before 12 noon. Big bowls of pasta and we finished them!
Al Dente is our "go to" restaurant in the North End,
never disappoints. Greeted at the front door by
a lovely gentlemen, had a great waitress, Joanna.
A pleasure to spend my money there.
Al Dente was by far the best meal we had in Boston! The service was impeccable and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend Al Dente to anyone traveling to Boston.
We had a great meal and service!
Wonderful food with experienced, friendly waitress.
Food was authentic with fresh made pasta. Prices are reasonable. Ambiance was great felt like I was in my grandmother’s kitchen. Highly recommend this restaurant and looking forward to retuning.
Great food - great service
Terrible. We had to wait 40 minutes for our table even with our reservation. We were then moved from our table without even being asked if that would be okay. The food came out and it was terrible. The bread is supermarket quality with packets of lukewarm butter, the Caesar salad was bland, and the pasta was not good at all. AVIOD!
My Wife and I walk in and turn around and walk out the noise level was over the top It reminded me of high school cafeteria this was our anniversary and this was not the place to be.
sorry the food might have been great but we were not going to stick around to find out!
The food was fine, but came out so quick and we couldn’t even enjoy our wine and bread before the food came out. The host was brusk and a little rude to us when we arrived early to our reservation. The food was nothing special, and we were rushed to eat and pay so that they could turn over the table. I will not be returning to Al Dente.
Cozy North End restaurant with great value, high quality food. Gluten free options available.
The place was packed but we got in on time for our reservation. Gluten free options were numerous and our waitress was incredibly helpful. Would return in a heartbeat!
Excellent as always! We especially love when Angela waits on us. My friend had the shrimp scampi and I had chicken parm. Delicious as always!
This place is simply the best Italian in the North End! Every time Im in town I come with customers or meet friends who live in the area. Food is to die for and the people are great. It’s everything you would want in an Italian restaurant.
Great food and great service! Definitely recommend upgrading to the homemade pasta - it's perfect!
Food was good. The restaurant is "cozy", not particularly comfortable for larger people. The server must have been having an off day since she took a long time to take care of is, was confused about the order, was dropping stuff such as knives
Always perfect Italian food and Hospitality.
I made a reservation on open table and received a confirmation # and a call confirming from the restaurant on Saturday the day I was going. When we got there they did not have the reservation. I did have my confirmation number with me but we just had to wait to be seated. My reservation was for 8:00- PM on Saturday the 19th under Helaine Hyzen.
Somone dropped the ball on this.
Show up JUST before your reservation time because you will wait until that exact time but be taken in right when you’re scheduled. The food is outstanding and the staff was top notch. Our waitress was so fun & friendly. Another nice touch was that the gentleman who took us inside came over at one point and referred to me by my name to ask me how everything was. Small detail, and all it took was the check my reservation name and what table I was seated at... but that was a really nice thing. Made you feel you were a regular there even on your first visit.
The food, the service and the atmosphere was out of this world!
Food was very good and friendly service. Will go back next time I’m in Boston.
Al Dente is fabulous. Service is great!
We had a group of Ten for a business meal and everyone had a wonderful time.
I would highly recommend it.
Totally satisfied. We took Amtrak to Boston for lunch and made reservations with Al Dente Making and changing times on the web site was simple. The food was very tasty and a very LARGE portion even for lunch. I can not immagine what dinnr portions would be. It was a great birthday lunch that we plan to go back for again!!!
