It was hot in there and the food was mediocre. The server was good though. Overall it wasn’t anything special.
Exceptional food and service! The unlimited mimosas make the brunch even more amazing!
Always predictably an excellent meal ! Service outstanding and personal. Our favorite by far !
Amazing food, amazing vibe. Probably best Italian dinner in DC. Definitely a hidden gem.
We have been to Al Crostino many times and it never disappoints. We will be back again soon I'm sure
Outstanding, as always.
Always terrific!!! Couldn’t have enjoyed our meal more!
Great authentic Neopolitain cuisine. Always get a great meal and great service.
one of DC's best kept secrets. I'm torn between wanting to keep this exclusively as a neighborhood gem and wanting the whole world to know how fabulous Al Crostino is.
The best Italian restaurant in the Washington Metro area. Fabulous in every way. Family owned with amazing staff. A Must stop.
Great food in a lovely old rowhouse. Hidden gem - not crowded on a Saturday night so I hope they continue to do well.
Decent service, food tasted great, but we left hungry and went elsewhere for more food right after - small portions and low value for the high pricepoint.
Brunch was VERY well prepared (choice of available entrees, Groupon used) and the mimosas were yummy. Calamari was really tasty and NOT at all chewy. Will definitely be going back.
I always love going to Al Crostino! Never had a bad meal & the owner is wonderful! I count it as a regular haunt! Guaranteed good meal! J’adore Lemoncello to end the experience!
Phenomenal restaurant. Terrific service and amazing food. Great for special occasion or romantic dinner.
Superb cooking, extremely pleasant setting, service is outstanding…..you’ll definitely get to talk to the owners. We have been many times and have ALWAYS had an excellent meal. In particular, you can tell the ingredients have been selected with care by the owners, who, are ALWAYS there. Great place!
Delicious food and amazing service! Such a cute little hidden gem - definitely planning to come back.
Great groupon, great atmosphere for a small intimate group. Food was good and bottomless mimosas was a plus. I would recommend it to a friend.
What I will always remember is the joking and helpful staff. 3 of us found the restaurant, tucked under a club called "Secrets.' at 8:30, just as a couple we know also came in. The owner set the 5 of us up at a great table by the window. Good food, wine. 3 orders pasta bolognaise, 1 stuffed red pepper and one chicken Milano, all very tasty and presented well.
Al Crostino is a bright and cheery place with delicious and authentic Italian food. We received a warm welcome and everyone enjoyed what they ordered: stuffed roasted pepper over beans, focaccia, seafood grill, lamb chops, pasta, apple tart.
Excellent service and food suggestions. It’s like eating in a true Neapolitan restaurant in Italy
We enjoyed everything. It’s very cozy. Food quality 5 star and the waitress was great, recommendations spot on.
We received a brunch groupon as a gift for Al Crostino and were excited to try a new place! The restaurant is very cozy, quiet, and intimate. Our server was top notch continually re-filling our mimosas and checking in on our table. The food was okay - not good, or decent - just okay. For the prices, I would hope there would be something about the dish that would make it unique to that restaurant or special (ex. tator tot bowl needed something else).
With that said, I would go back for brunch just for the bottomless and with the Groupon! The mimosas, service, and venue itself were great. Would recommend as a spot for people looking for a boozy brunch.
Always great food and personalized service.
Great restaurant! Veal chop Milanese was absolutely superb, as was the fettuccine bolognese. Service couldn’t have been better!
A place to appreciate a great meal, service and wine. The staff is friendly, engaging and spot on recommendations, they really make you feel at home.
The place is not outstanding to be sure. However, the people are wonderful, the food is very good and the atmosphere is very intimate. The wine list was a bit limited. I would recommend it for overall experience.
Open table should update the number of dollar signs on this restaurant - we had no appetizers, and one of us didn't order an entree, and the total for four people ended up being well over $50 per person.
My friend had never been before and loved it - very happy to introduce her to one of my DC favorites
New menu options. Excellent pasta dish with cauliflower and pancetta. Rolled pork with asparagus on polenta was exceptional as was the lamb chops with broccoli rabe. Dessert of ricotta cheese tort was light and tasty.
Service is always warm, friendly and helpful. Food is elegantly served. Good value.
Everything was quite good with the one exception that the restaurant was very cold.
Food was amazing and so was the service. My only small complaint was it was a little chilly but the restaurant had just opened so it probably got warmer as the evening went on. Definitely check it out!
Very fresh Italian. Homemade pastas are amazing. Intimate setting. Surprisingly elegant expense for the area.
I saw this restaurant on groupon for 50% off so it’s good. But without the groupon it’s just Average food, expensive for what you get.
One of my favorite restuarants in DC to this day. I have never had anything less than spectacular food, wine and service. The mother and daughter that run the place are fantastic. A little slice of Italy in DC!
Amazing food and great staff, will definitely return!
Small portions, but satisfying.
Mimosas good, light & refreshing, but definitely not worth $20/person.
I do not think the pasta was homemade, which is disappointing given this is an Italian restaurant.
Carbonara was not a creamy consistency, more of an olive oil blend w/ egg blended in. Very tasty, just a different way of presenting the dish.
Chicken & waffles were a large portion and very good.
I asked for a side of bread and was told "we don't have any bread"...I think this was odd for any restaurant.
Would come back again.
Fantastic! Juliana’s special pasta is the ultimate said our guest. A must!
