Al Bacaro is a traditional Italian restaurant where guests can enjoy a comfortable and quiet space to enjoy some of the classic flavors of Italy. The most important tenant for the Al Bacaro kitchen staff is to use seasonal ingredients. The menu is constantly updated with dishes that make the most of whatever items are currently in their prime. It's not just the fruit and vegetables either, as Al Bacaro's Fish of the Day is the fish that was bought from the local market that day. Al Bacaro's menu features famous Italian plates, including spaghetti bolognese, tagliatelle with a beef filet, agnello al forno and a rotating list of Italian desserts.

Very tasty food. Friendly service. For dessert, maybe avoid tiramisu. The wine we ordered was out. The waitress/owner even let us taste two bottles, one Italian and one Croatian, to help us decide which one to order. Definitely recommend.

If we can eat at a good italian restaurant in Amsterdam, this means that the globalisation did a lot to make this world much better!!! A great positive surprise. Truly originally Italian. With a chef and servers with passion. Bread made in house. Vegetables directly from Italy. Pasta like in Italy. Well done!!! I had the “fave and cicoria” to start; tonnarelli truffle and centerelles as a main and a chocolate cake. All delicious. The five star feedback for the food will come when they will replace the Tuscan truffle with the Piedmont one... Bravi, bravi, bravi. In Amsterdam. OMG.

Small chef operated Venetian Italian restaurant. Pasta , bread, desserts and many ingredients are home made. Food was excellent, presentation was wonderful and flavors plentiful. Great wine recommendations. Service was attentive, friendly, accommodating and very helpful. Looking for real Italian dining in Amsterdam, have to try!
