Had to wait forever for our order. Flatbread was too doughy. Lovely setting.

The food here was delicious! They’ve only been open a few weeks and you can tell there’s still a lot of training happening with the wait staff but everyone was pleasant and helpful. We’re gluten sensitive and their menu isn’t marked yet but the chef came out and went over the menu with us so we knew what we could safely order. We will definitely be back!

Wide variety of Mediterranean foods all were excellent! Evening view of the Columbia River which was beautiful Looking forward to trying other dishes at lunch. Glad they allow reservations! Will make it easier to come back regularly. Definitely give this new restaurant a try!

we are so excited to have this new restaurant on the north coast. While it’s only been open for three weeks it was awesome. What they’ve done to the decor is very lovely. And the views are second to none. It didn’t hurt that we were there on a Sunday day, but it makes you appreciate where we live. The service was impeccable. Which is unusual for a place that just opened. The menu selection was wonderful and the quality of the food top-notch. Everything we ordered was wonderful. My only concern is that there are several things on the menu that was not available. We look forward to returning back. It is our new go to spot.

Akres on the Pier is a new restaurant, and like any new restaurant, there are "kinks" to be worked out. The #1 thing that stood out to us was the timing of the food. My friend ordered the bouillabaisse, and it sat waiting to be delivered for quite a while. My food was not ready yet and presumably they wanted to deliver it together. The bouillabaisse was cold when delivered. Also, for the price there should have been some type of bread served with it. I had the Chicken Souvlaki which was very good. From where we sat, we had a direct view of the kitchen, and it looked like many already prepared dishes sat too long waiting to be picked up. Better communication in the kitchen is needed so the food can be coordinated. Also, there is no wine/beer list only a cocktail menu which for Astoria is a "No No." Astoria is a beer-drinking town. I will definitely go back, but I will give it a little time. The ambience is very nice, and this could be a 5-star restaurant.

This restaurant was very new, and it showed. They will probably be great - beautiful views, intriguing menu - once the kinks are worked out, but the meal took forever in the worst, completely unintended way.
