Has good variety for breakfast and a good ambiance. Staff let us in a bit before opening for coffee while setting up.

Took my wife here for Valentine's Day and we got the best seat in the house. We sat right in front of the kitchen and were even given complimentary gnocchi as a starter. The food was delicious, the staff was great, great ambience and definitely will come again!

what a wonderful dinner! we started with cocktails, our server suggested starters to share, we loved the stuffed branzino paired with delicious wine and finished with a chocolate tart. definitely one of the best meals we have had on date nights in Philly!

Great food and great fun. We had an early reservation for dinner, and had asked for the chef's counter. Since it was early, we had our choice of seating, so we sat where we could watch the whole kitchen working (on the end). We had the beets and burrata, and the steak tartare to start; both were delicious. The chef also made us a citrus salad, just to be nice! Also, delicious. I got the mushroom lasagna and he got the swordfish steak. The chef accidentally brought out a sea bass instead of the swordfish, but he loved it anyways. The chef then realized his mistake and came over to apologize, my honey said he would never had ordered the sea bass, but was happy to have eaten it. Dessert: walnut cake and chocolate tart, probably my least favorite part of the meal.
The head chef (do not know his name), and his sous chef Krupa were very informative of what they were making when asked (and I asked a bunch of questions until they got very busy). Our waitress Abriona was extremely nice and informative about the food and wine.
At the end of our meal, they brought out my honey's correct swordfish meal for us to bring home, big surprise!

All in all, a great meal, and we will definitely go back.

Had a counter seat for dinner with my girlfriend. First time there and it wont be our last. The food and wine pairing was excellent. I enjoyed watching the food get prepared even if it only made me wish I had more of it. Service was great as well.

We’ve come to expect a great dining experience and wonderful food when eating at the top Philadelphia restaurants and a.Kitchen really delivered. The menu was varied and creative and every course was wonderful. Even my martini was expertly prepared. This is a top 10 restaurant that deserves its ranking. I also want to add that the service is terrific, professional, knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. We highly recommend a.Kitchen and look forward to returning very soon.

What a joy! We've loved a.Kitchen since it opened, although we haven't been there much since we retired. So it was great to find the same adventurous menu, wonderful staff, exciting wine list, & unpretentious attention to detail that it had on day 1. We had to be downtown for an appointment, so we decided to make a late lunch the main meal for the day. The delicata squash with feta & chermoula (we didn't know's an amazing Moroccan herb sauce) was stellar. The crudo was rich, fresh & delightfully structured, with grapefruit, beets, & pomegranate seeds. My wife went traditional with the burger, which is one of Philly's best. And I had a duck sausage sandwich, which was so good it was off the chart! The fries are thickly sliced in house & done to perfection with no oily residue. We found yet another wine we never heard of, a Sardinian made from a varietal called Monica. It's an inexpensive light, mildly tannic red with strong cherry & plum that was delicious & went very well with everything we ordered. We were not rushed despite being the last lunch seating - a.Kitchen's still a winner!

Our first time here and it was amazing. The service was outstanding....every dish brought out by the chef and explained...our server was awesome with recommendations and very attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance is perfect....quiet but not in a snooty way...just comfortable. The dishes are all prepared with the utmost attention to detail and were all delicious. We couldn't ask for anything better - we will be back, with friends....soon and often.

In for the Eagles parade tomorrow. Had a nice meal with a good bottle of wine because it was cellar raid night ( first wed each month, wine bottles half price.). The food was diverse for such a small menu. The chef whipped up a nice vegan small plate for my daughter that was delicious. The noise level was not bothersome because the restaurant was not full at the time (8:45 pm reservation, Wednesday night). I would dine here again. Service was very good, attentive but not intrusive.

Went with my brother, who came down from NYC, on the first Wednesday 1/2 price wine night. Surprised and disappointed to learn it only applied to bottles, not 1/2 bottles (which I would go back for since I live alone) or magnums (which would be great for bringing our family there to a table for 6 or 8). The other issue is with a very outdated wine list. A number of bottles of red wine that we were interested in were no longer available. A very good champagne took quite some time to locate in the cellar?
Thought the food was good, but I've had better lunches there. It was an enjoyable time with my brother, totally relaxed, attentive, but not obtrusive, service. Will we be back? I'm not sure. I think the issues with the wine list would definitely have to be resolved. And, I think the ownership should think about the strategy of applying the appeal of the 1/2 price wine to 1/2 bottles and magnums.

The food was fresh and the service was very good. Limited wine selection and menu choices. This is a small place that is very active.

Place is very pretty looking, but the choice of wood ceilings and hard surfaces everywhere was not ideal as it’s LOUD. The restaurant had 5 empty tables and we could hardly hear each other. One of us is 34 and one of us is 45... so we aren’t geriatric.

The menu is complicated. They were trying very very hard. The result is you aren’t sure what to get.... and it was a struggle to order anything.

We got the duck sausage gnocchi which was very good and the Brussels sprouts with lamb belly... which is winter hardy for sure.

Service was great but we couldn’t hear the waiter and has to ask him to repeat himself - to which he replied he was very soft spoken and everyone had issues hearing him. Ha! Not the spot to work then.

Staff was super kind. Place is pretty, but noisy. Menu is too complex... outcome - have an early or late night drink here - but eat around the corner at estia.
