   The food was very good. Many dishes were a little spicy . We shared everything and had the Pizza (excellent), Rock shrimp (spicy but delicous), yellowtail (it's raw..fantastic my fav), black cod, sea bass, crispy rice with seared tuna on top, octopus. All these were apps. For main, the three of us shared the rib eye and a chicken dish with a side of asparagus and rice. The chicken was bland and the only thing I didn't like. Dessert was also very good - we shared some lychee mouse and an apply caramel dessert. Cocktails were very good as well. A very nice evening. It is a bit loud in the restaurant and a little dark.

   Our experience was mixed. Our server was really nice but unfortunately she forgot an order of ours. To apologize for forgetting one of our orders she brought us prosecco but accidentally spilled it on my bag. She apologized and cleaned it up. The other thing was we ordered a 10oz sake bottle for us and our server took the glasses/sake away before we were finished. The bottle was 1/4th full still and she took it which was unfortunate. The food was good though!

   We were celebrating our 33rd anniversary, and our son recommended Akira Back to us. It was just the perfect dinner! I was in love with all the dishes we ordered, from the White Fish Carpaccio, to the Sushi and rolls, short ribs, and finally the dessert, every dish was perfectly prepared!! And special thanks to our server, she made great recommendations and made us felt special throughout the evening. My hubby said he is going back for more Tuna!

   The music is far too loud, our waiter couldn’t hear anyone we can’t hear each other, all you hear is tables beside you yelling while trying to communicate with one another.

    I booked the dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. We are new comers in Toronto and are so happy to find this nice restaurant! Shaun made good recommendations and he served us with professional attitude. Foods we ordered were delicious. The whole experience was so good to us and we’ll definitely come back for other special occasions!

    If I could give Akira more than 5 stars I absolutely would. We booked dinner for Mother’s Day & it did not disappoint. The food was exceptional, the ambiance is amazing & our waiter was extremely knowledgeable & gave us some amazing recommendations. Everything was top notch and did not miss a beat!

    Food was very good. Tried a variety of plates. Everything was fresh aside from the octopus. It was not fresh and chewy. If it was fresh, all dishes would have been perfect. Creative items. Service was a little slow. Server wasn't overly friendly. Washrooms were very messy (which is also a bit of a flag for me). Overall good experience.

    The restaurant was well designed, the food was amazing, and the staff were all super friendly. I loved how the manager came by the table and made some dessert recommendations. I would have loved to have seen a drink list as non were provided but otherwise everything was perfect and I would definitely return.

    Very very small portions, bad service; we didn’t see the server for 20 minutes at a time… we asked to pay and we’re clear we needed to leave. We waited 10 minutes for our bill and he just left it at the table without bringing a machine and proceeded to cash out another large table.

    Great experience over all.. Seating arrangement can be more comfortable and i believe with such an high end restaurants, they should be more attentive on changing the plates and cutleries more often. all in all, a good experiene

    The restaurant was beautiful, decor and all. The service was very nice, Sean was lovely. The food was excellent, only issue we had was that all our plates came out at different times, with a bit of time between each. The rock shrimp was so good & the jidori chicken was 10/10. Overall, amazing choice for my 21st birthday. Would definitely recommend!

    Everything was fantastic until it came to the ribeye. I rarely enjoyed the sides or garnishes on the dishes. They were really good and I enjoyed them very much. But then it came to the ribeye. Unlike the other dishes, we waited for a long time for this. When it came, it was just the meat without any garnishes. We ordered medium rare but it looked like well done. The most disappointment was that it was very salty. It ruined the whole dinner experience

    Overall, overpriced food which we already expected when we booked the place. I guess the best dish of all we ordered was the Serrano. Don’t bother ordering the mio sparkling sake, tasted like sparkling sugar water LOL. Waitress was nice in the beginning until the end OMFG, took them like 15-20 mins to just get us the bill; didn’t know where our waitress went and had to like call someone else to come over for the bill, not what I expected for a place like this and for that price point. Would not go back again

    Great food great service but way too loud. You can't hear anything from your server or your guests due to the acoustics and people just talking so loud it's ridiculous. Screaming at each other and that your server for your whole meal is not enjoyable

    Everything we tried was 11/10. Cocktails were also really good. Service could have been much better - no one came around to fill up our glasses with water, forgot to bring the cake at the end of dinner (we had to remind them which ruined the surprise for our friend) and seemed disorganized in general.
