Chef Akira Back opens his first Canadian namesake restaurant in Toronto’s Bisha Hotel. Drawing on inspiration from his Korean heritage and travels around the globe, chef Back has created a menu that blends modern Japanese cuisine with authentic Korean flavours. In addition to his signature dishes, Back has created new items unique for the Toronto location.     Went there for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was both our first time. We loved the ambiance and the food didn’t disappoint. The wagyu tacos 🌮 was sooooooo good. We’re still talking about it. Thanks to the waitress for her recommendation. We will definitely be back!!! It was a bit noisy though.

    Mentioned that it was my birthday and they made it a very great night with their warm hospitality. The 48 hours wagyu short ribs are the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life.

    I am unsure how this place doesn’t have a Michelin star or multiple, it was so good!

    The experience was very good, the setting, lighting and atmosphere was exquisite. I personally enjoyed the ribeye steak, the show me the rolls sushi, and the brother from another mother rolls. Our server Raay was very helpful and catered to all our needs. Raay made the experience 10x better!

    We had a lovely experience at Akira Back. Beautiful ambience and food was exceptional. The tuna/mushroom pizza was delicious as other reviews noted. Wagyu tacos are a must try - amazing!! Also had the cucumber salad and it was like no other. Presentation was incredible and it was delicious. We followed that up with two signature rolls that were fabulous. Cocktail selection was creative and service was great! Highly recommend a visit.
