One of my go-to sushi spots for high quality service and food. Tonight did not disappoint!
Beautiful and delicious meal! The Omakase menu was perfect for a friend’s birthday meal. Not too much to food as we had worried it might have been when we ordered. It was just perfection in every bite even to the very last bite for dessert.
Insanely perfect. The end.
Muy buenos los rollos y los nigiris. El servicio excelente
Exceptional food, service and ambiance. Our server was helpful at making suggestions for sake and sushi choices.
This is the bests sushi I had ever!
Endo was amazing! He is so caring and nice to us
The fish was so fresh, excellent quality.
You have to try it!!
Akiko's is pricey, but the food and presentation is absolutely fabulous. The chef's take on sushi is original and delicious.
Server was super perceptive. Naturally friendly.
The food and service were outstanding!!! This place is a gem!
Little hidden gem! Fantastic omakase with loads of buttery, zesty delights to your palate.
Can tailor to your low/ no carb diet easily. And prompt service.
It can get pricey 😊, yes. Absolutely delightful!
Akiko's on Bush St. is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. The sushi is top quality and includes varieties I've not found in other Sushi Bars around the country. It is definitely High-end.
Service is great: attentive without interrupting; always helpful & courteous. The owner, or the person I believe to be the owner, usually visits the tables and makes sure the guests are well cared for. He patiently answers questions about the menu and gives recommendations when asked.
Hint: bring your wallet. The unique fare and amazing plating does come with a cost. But definitely worth it for the taste and experience.
Easily one of the best sushi you can get in SF!
Best sushi ever; we tríed allí ítems in Nama selection menú : excelent !!!
Special place. Always new and unique sushi menu items and the sushi is always the freshest. Sushi chefs are always so knowledgeable. Sitting at the bar is highly recommended.
Wonderful experience - the sushi is so fresh and masterfully prepared. Ask your server for recommendations and follow their lead. Small space but big tastes. Truly the best sushi I’ve eaten anywhere in the world.
I had the $150 Omakase which consisted of very little sushi/sashimi and most dishes were either cooked or seared. I was very disappointed in the quality of the fish, especially given the very high price of the meal. The uni aa nothing special and a fried Parmesan nigiri was very unappealing. Also I was totally disgusted watching the sushi chefs throw order tickets on top of pieces of nigiri before they left the sushi bar. I don’t know where that paper has been, and certainly don’t want it on top of my $26 nigiri.
Exceptional food, service and ambiance! My fave sushi place in the city!
Stunning sushi, immaculate presentation, faultless service. This is the best of the best.
Took much longer to get out
1st time we dined here was about 18 months ago and the entire experience - ambiance, food, service and comfort were off the charts wonderful. We spent about $500 for the experience. Our waiter was very inquisitive about our expectations - at first this was not appreciated but it really worked out. He ordered for us and the food was spectacular. Easily my best sushi/Japanese experience in SF. Unfortunately we went for a return recently for my wife's birthday and other than the same $500 expense the experience was meh. There were some hits - the mature yellowtail and dungenous crab whip with shaved white truffles. But there some real duds (baby eels with ponzu - yuck) and the rest mostly meh.
The real downer was the ambiance. We sat in the back and could smell the bathroom cleaners/oDorizers. Yuck. And our waitress was nothing like the guy we had previously - curt and not at all helpful.
We will likely try one more time but with a keep it simple(r).
Quite pricey for what it offers. The chef has a tendency to season most of the nigiri sushi thus unable to taste the original fresh taste of the fish, don't like that.
Awesome Omokase experience!
Always delicious!
Our dinner at Akiko's was the best dining experience during our recent trip to San Francisco. I am not even sushi lover. I booked it based off strong recommendations for my husband, but I loved the dinner myself. Linda, our server, felt like a great friend guiding up through the meal and she didn't steer us wrong at any turn. I love the intimate nature of the restaurant with only a handful of table and the bar. Plus, there is enough on the menu for non-sushi goers. The Black Cod was to-die for. I will be certain to go back on our next adventure in San Francisco.
Always the best omakase
My favorite place
I had a wonderful experience at Akiko’s. The service was great, and the food and preparation couldn’t have been better. We were seated at a nice table by the window. The fish that was served was very fresh and delicious, delivered from Japan. It was a great spot for a date. Would absolutely go again.
Outstanding food and service as always; recommend sushi bar!
Amazing food every time
Akikos was excellent. The specials and expert wait staff made our evening wonderful.
It was such a phenomenal tasting experience. You can have a business meeting, a date or a get together of friends for a spectacular meal!
Service was superb. You will not be disappointed!
Excellent food and service
The food was phenomenal and the staff exceptional. This was a great culinary experience and I would be thrilled to dine here again. Definitely an experience!
We enjoyed the food and service! Excellent sashimi and tasting menu options!
Excellent nigiri and very friendly/helpful service. We would definitely go back!
Ordered omakase and requested to sit at the bar. They brought all our sushi out on one plate rather than piece by piece like most restaurants. They chef didn’t pay any attention to us the entire time and instead served only the couple next to us.
This is the second time I’ve been here and this was a uniquely bad experience.
My favorite place for fresh sushi and rolls where the ingredients and service are always first rate.
Never disappoints. It’s always such a different experience from other omakase
By far some of the best sushi I've had in 5+ years in SF.
Our server was knowledgeable and offered guidance with our choices. The food exceeded our expectations.
When we found out there was a special sushi roll (chef's choice) we ordered it as well as a small bite that was also not on the menu and everything was exceptional. Pricy but what you'd expect with the quality and innovation.
