Aki Nom Nom Sushi & Ramen
Great food and service
The food was dry but the only thing notable was the drinks
Delicious food and cool atmosphere! Also super affordable
Aki is hands down one of my top ten restaurants to go to in the city and my favorite for sushi and ramen. The service is always personalized and attentive. Also a great happy hour spot.
It was easy to make a reservation. There was no wait. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The food came quickly and was delicious. Will definitely be going back.
Had a 9:30 reservation for 4, got an email the restaurant canceled, called them, they said they didn’t! We asked if 9:30 was talk late since they have all you can eat, was guaranteed on the phone it wasn’t! Got to the restaurant 930, was told the kitchen closes at 9:50, and the waitress was rushed us to the point of we ordered off the regular menu and not even what we wanted! One of our friends ordered all you can eat and she took the menu away and when he asked to add more she told him you have 1 min only left!!! It’s really sad bc the food is delicious!! However having to eat your ramen and sushi rolls in a few minutes was horrible!!!!! That waitress was beyond rude!!!! Young white curl with Black curly hair!!! The worst!!!!
We had dinner for my daughter‘s high school graduation and had an excellent experience. The server was patient and attentive. The food was outstanding. I will be recommending my family and friends.
Fresh ingredients. Great service and cozy. Highly recommend!!
Food was good, but the menu on OpenTable is incorrect - the sections on “Traditional Entrees” and “Chef’s Signature Entrees” did not exist on the actual menu in the restaurant. This was disappointing and should be updated on OpenTable’s website.
Our server was excellent!
I like this place. Wish next time I get a friendlier waitress, though. Ramen and appetizers were on point. Miss new flavors
While I typically love this place, on my last visit it was so incredibly warm- the booth seats were sweaty and sticking to me, the fish/sushi was a bit warm too. Even the hostess was fanning herself. It was uncomfortable to be so warm eating what should be cold/chilled food.
The food is really incredible.
We did the all-you-can-eat with four people. With a group, you can get a nice variety of dishes. Aki has some delicious and unusual combinations and we enjoyed them all.
Great food, great restaurant! Would definitely come back
Had an enjoyable dinner, but a bit expensive for the quality of food. Cocktails were too sweet and my drink had salty pickled ginger in it which was strange to me. Will likely return for the $29 all you can eat sushi at some point in the future.
Great and best place to eat sushi. The food is delicious.
The “all you can eat” menu was very good. The good was fresh and tasty. Service was so pleasant!
Suzi is pretty good. The all you can eat sushi is a great deal as you get unlimited apps as well. Service can be a bit slow. Pack patience.
Excellent as always
The all you can eat sushi is really good! Some of our rolls were made differently from how they were listed, so I’d recommend confirming the ingredients if you have any strict restrictions, but it was all very good. The only exception to this was probably the tuna sashimi, which was not that great, but still good! I’ve had a lot of all you can eat sushi in my day and this is the best one I’ve found! The servers were all incredibly nice and didn’t judge us when we kept ordering more food. They also don’t have a time limit so you can just keep going.
Got a lot of delicious food for a good price! Would definitely recommend this spot.
This was such a great date night for all you can eat sushi! I loved the hand rolls and the specialty rolls were all incredible. I highly recommend the calamari appetizer because it was so delicious and the sauce that came with it was also amazing. A downside would be the noise level (which is very very loud so it is hard to hear someone talking from across the table). However, it's mainly due to how busy the place is on a Friday night. I also found that there were long wait times between seeing the sushi waiting to be served and it actually being served. I noticed that the sushi we ordered was waiting on the sushi bar for about 15 minutes before it was served to us. All in all, it was a wonderful date night and I would recommend this place!
Worst sushi in Philadelphia, 70% rice and poor ingredients.
All you can eat sushi was a great value
Service was very good. We had a party of 5 which stayed for a decent amount of time, yet we always had good attentive service. Food was good.
I had a sashimi platter for lunch and it was very good. However, when the server put it down on the table, I was a little taken back at the lack of presentation of the platter. Like I said earlier, it tasted great! Just didn’t look appetizing at first. If you are going to compete with other similar type restuarants, ALL the details need to be taken into account.
It was kind of tight with the closeness to other tables. Other than that everything was great.
I think there's a common rule when it comes to ordering: make sure you know what you want, otherwise it will take awhile for your waiter/waitress to come back to you. I enjoyed the place a lot. When reserving, I had to confirm my reservation again the day before to let them know that I am indeed coming. I can't say much about the quality of the food, but my friends who have ate their often says the quality changes from time to time. I've only been there twice and they were fine to me.
My friend and I made a reservation, arrived at the restaurant, and the hostess said that they didn’t receive our reservation after asking what time we made it (without checking, as if they ignored OpenTable reservations after a certain time). She said the wait would be 30 minutes, so we then asked her to call us when a table was ready. She called us over 2 hours later.
We both had All You Can Eat and ate pretty much double of the price we paid!
In my opinion the sushi was only a cut above the sushi you get in the supermarket. They have very elaborate descriptions for run of the mill refrigerator case items. I definitely wont be returning.
Our experience at Aki Nom Nom was great!! Service was polite and patient when one of our party was late for the reservation, we were taken good care of, and the food was excellent. I had sushi and my dining companion had ramen, and we both raved. Will be back again!
We haven't been to this restaurant for awhile and we were hoping it got better. Unfortunately, it didn't and we won't be returning. The menu selection for AYCE is very limited and the quality isn't as good as other AYCE sushi places. It was a disappointment.
The fish was very old and mushy. Another order was made and it was equally old in color and taste. We didn’t eat it...just paid and left the place. The woman taking the order could not speak English and it was difficult explaining that the fish was old. I would never give this restaurant another chance.
We had a reservation but they did not have a table ready. We ended up at the front of the resraurant with no dedicated server. The hostess was doing double duty and clearly didnt have time to do both jobs. After we sat for 10 minutes and nobody so much as brought us water, we left.
Only saw two wheelchair accessible tables by front. Great service and great food.
Start to finish phenomenal meal! AYCE for just 30 bucks? Kiddin me???? Will be back next time I’m in the city!
Love the all you can eat option for sushi! great place
The Aki Nom Nom ramen was amazing! Will definitely visit again in the future. I say if your looking for a great service and great food head on down to Aki Nom Nom!
I went for restaurant week and had a blast. The food was wonderful!
