Service was great and attentive, but doesn’t seem like the kitchen can poach eggs properly.
Food, Service and Ambiance was amazing. Nothing more to be said.
The food was amazing last night! We had the nectarine salad with Humboldt Fog goat cheese and it was a sensation for the mouth!! Delicious!! I'm now craving it, along with the 2 curry dishes that my friends had! Brad, our server, couldn't have been more accommodating and kind.
Not sure what happened to the burger as it was dry- very surprising as it was so amazing before. The staff is very kind and accommodating though
This is my go to neighborhood restaurant
I love it
I've been wanting to try this Culver City standby for a long time. It has remained steadfast as downtown Culver City has grown and survived the Pandemic. The interior ambience is lovely, with a touch of drama, high ceilings, large bar and an open feel. They have an attractive patio, where the four of us dined. We feasted on a delicious arugula salad with grilled peaches and goat cheese, and a creamy, buttery burrata with crostini and more luscious summer peaches. Two of us had the short rib lasagna special, which was outstanding. One friend had a yummy turkey burger, and my hubby had the 'burger,' which looked good but he said there was 'too much going on.' The french fries and sweet potato fries all good. The service was spotty and our server made only a few appearances. This can probably be attributed to the current labor shortage. Overall, the food and the experience were good and as expected. Nothing innovative here, but solid presentation and good flavors. Cocktails are good, well priced and, for now, they offer Happy Hour every day, 5:30-7:00pm.
First time here, we came for a birthday brunch. Staff were very nice. Food was very tasty, perfect portion size. I definitely want to try their happy hour.
Outstanding ambiance. We felt that we were in Paris.
Delicious and creative food cooked by Cheff Aakasha herself.
World class service by the manager Ryan Deist (Google translated it to King God). He will charge your cell phone but be ready for his good humor comments if you only have 1% left!
The cocktails were not good. The fruit (whether lime/cherry) overpowered the drinks and way too bitter/tart. I tasted three different wines and all tasted stale/vinegary.
Smelled like a sewer outside, the burger was not good, and the service was pretty slow - they forgot my drink twice. Overall not a great experience
The server wasn't great, but I think when you are able to get decent staffing levels sometime in the next several months, service will be stellar. We love you and support the restaurant, so we just go with the flow....
Noise was due to the cars passing by, we were in the street/sidewalk outer area.
Good place to celebrate an occasion. We were there at 5:30 pm on a Sunday. Excellent food included Branzino, Curry seafood and spaghetti (but no meatballs or sausage with it). Drinks were expensive around $16 for a small pour. Parking is convienient right next door. Service was good and friendly , but slowed as the crowds started to come in. Maybe inside tables with white table clothes would have generated another star. We would go back.
The service last night was awful. It was so bad I don't know if I will ever go back. They forgot to bring the entrees for my husband and my friend. They eventually arrived 30-40 minutes after the other two entrees were served. We had to ask for water and place settings. It was pretty much a disaster.
Great vibe, happy, mellow, heaters on patio. That said, seated on time Sat 6:30, had to flag waiter at 6:50 for drinks. Had to wave over to take order@7:20. Had to wave at 7:45 to find our food which had been sitting out and arrived lukewarm. Food was high quality but hard fought. We enjoyed our conversation and evening was pleasant but was 9 when finally signed our check. Staff shortage???
Wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend it.
The I ndoor dining was empty and they had no tables set so it felt like you weren’t supposed to be there. Terrible ambiance, Ofw waiter a d good food but depressing
Excellent food, the wine and cocktail list is extensive, the service was good, the ambience exciting, with many people both indoors and outside.
Akasha never fails me whenever I go. The food is always great and the service is always fantastic. I went for lunch with a friend and because of COVID, we wanted to have a table outside, which we were easily able to get even though the restaurant also was open for indoor dining. My friend and I shared the short rib taquitos, which were fantastic, my friend got the fried chicken sandwich, and I got the turkey burger. We finished off our meal with two cookies for dessert: the snickerdoodle and the tahini chocolate chip cookie. Both were phenomenal.
I'll always recommend Akasha to anyone who wants a great meal.
The food wasn’t good and everything we wanted was not available
Menu is not large but what they do they do well. Decent drinks, pizza, burgers.
Bad service and the food was just okay for the price. Waited about 20 minutes just for coffee and another 20-30 minutes for food.
Love Akasha! Great food with several tasty gluten free options.
Really loved the beet salad. Food overall very good but not great - a bit overcooked with the Brussel sprouts. Waiter could have been a bit more friendly. Nice spot to eat in Culver City….
Took my husband for a birthday dinner.
Gabe was great. Food came out fast and hot.
Bad food, long wait and terrible service. Won’t go back
Usually really good food and service. The service was HORRIBLE. Initially had one waitress take our order...then a waiter took our order. No idea what happened to the first order we placed. Never saw our waiter again We had to flag other waiters/busboys down five times to get any type of service...even our check. Food was good but the whole experience was so bad the food didn't make up for it. I won't go here for weekend brunch again.
Loved the outside dining
Good happy hour food and drinks. Would come back again.
Food was superb!! Appetizers were excellent and very creative, especially the Punjabi meatballs and the taquitos!!
Good solid food and drinks
It was an absolute pleasure dining at Akasha. We had passed by the week before and knew we had to try it out! Their menu is small but the food is incredibly flavorful and delicious. They honored happy hour prices for our cocktails, even though we sat down right when happy hour ended, which was so appreciated! We got the barbacoa taquitos, the chicken parm, the arugula and peach salad, and the coffee ice cream pie, and everything was phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and attentive -- from the time we sat down to the time we finished our entrees, it was 45 minutes! Tables were nicely spread out so it didn't feel too COVID-crowded. Overall an incredible experience, and I would absolutely come back.
My new favorite spot, the hostess was so lovely and our server was great! Xx
The food was not worth the price.
Waitress Service was good.
Akasha is an old favorite, and it was wonderful to see it alive and hopping.
Delicious food great waitstaff!!
Love that they made it through this awful pandemic. The food was delicious! There service was excellent. We are lucky to have her food in Culver City!
When in Culver City, my go-to is Akasha. Every meal there are always been outstanding ...and having Francesca as our server twice in a row made the experience stellar! Thank you.
