I always love going to Akasha. They are vegan friendly and really knows how to take care of their customers.
Food great as usual. They don’t have enough help. Our Waitress seemed very spread thin. Nice but not very available.
We loved Carl, our server. He was very patient with us and made great suggestions. Very accommodating. Food was so good. It’s usually hard to get gluten free vegan options at most restaurants. Akasha was tailor made for me! We will be back!
Food was ok but not worth the $$.
Service was not attentive.
The staff at Akasha were all very nice however the food was very disappointing. I ordered the brisket hash with poached eggs and the eggs were anything but. They came out hard boiled and I had to wait for the replacement eggs which were extremely small and just so so. I will not go back for brunch. There was a long wait for our drinks and then for our food which was not worth the price. Akasha may be better as a dinner restaurant.
Great outdoor dining! Lots of options and delicious food!
Fabulous food. From tuna appetizer to branzino fish, green salad with peaches, & not to be missed onion rings, everything was delicious. We felt safe & warm in outdoor seating. Somehow we found room for Meyer lemon cheese cake, oh yum.
We ordered the shrimp- overcooked.
Tandoori chicken wings- dry and flavorless.
Flatbread- not at all flat and seemed fried
Salad- the only item that tasted ok.
Service was pleasant but indifferent.
All in all. It was a completely unrepeatable experience.
What an excellent restaurant! A plethora of outdoor seating (and heat lamps for the cold-phobic in Los Angeles) and the absolute kindest waitstaff! The food was thoughtful and delicious, and there is truly something for everyone on this menu.
Love the food and the ambiance - even with an outside table! However, with an 830 reservation, we were told that “last call” for alcohol was in 10 minutes and the kitchen was closing at 930. We ordered and ate fast, which is not the best way to dine on a holiday weekend. Why take an 830 reservation just to rush people through their meal?
We moved back to California recently and we live in Culver City. We have tried several of the restaurants on Culver Blvd. and Akasha is by far the best. Food was so good as was my cocktail. Service was spot on. We will return.
I liked that I was able to get a reservation on short notice for Saturday night. The food was very good. The service was great! The drinks were well-crafted and they were not weak.
We were only supposed to be there for 90 minutes but we were having a really good time. I appreciated the fact that they didn’t try to push us out.
We sampled items from every course and were highly impressed by the freshness, quality and creativity of each dish. The menu is highly seasonal with lots of vegetarian/vegan options, along with comfort foods that you might be craving. Excellent ambiance, along with a great happy hour.
Delicious food, cocktails and also friendly service.
My favorite spot in downtown Culver. Great food, great vibes.
Cold outside. Most tables had heaters. But not all. Service took much longer than usual and we were freezing
I don’t like being forced to write something when I was kind enough to take the time to fill-in the multiple Choice
Waitress kept moving her mask to talk because it was loud. They were out of 2 out of 5 things we ordered. My $14 drink was very weak.
Great food, very fresh/healthy tasting with lots of fresh ingredients, trendy ambiance
Great waiter. Great personality. Food was excellent and very attractive
I know we are just getting back to “normal” but... from what used to be to now there’s a long way to go. The food was quite disappointing. Cost is high and service quite subpar. Will not be returning any time soon and it used to be in my top five.
Host could’ve been nicer.
Poor service from our waiter.
Fabulous spinach lasagna with short rib ragu... really light and great... all the staff was very friendly , but one does feel for restaurants now ... that finding enough staff is a challenge.
This neighborhood institution thankfully survived the pandemic and continues to deliver. You can't go wrong with any of the stuff on the menu, literally morning, noon or night. Airy and open ambiance both inside and out. Greatly miss the bar, which will hopefully be back in full swing soon. Highly recommend.
I arrived on time with my group. Restaurant was busy on this Friday evening. Hostess was gruff and far from accommodating when we made a request for indoor seating—my wife is pregnant and I try to make her comfortable (like keeping her warm when outside temperatures cool down). We waited an extra 30min with no time updates and hostess conspicuously avoided speaking to us. Food was good but wouldn’t come back for service like what I received.
Excellent food and beautiful ambiance.
There was care in everything, in the salmon and burger, the fries and cheese cake, the water and wine, the inner walls and seats. Had a nice sense of an oasis off the street.
Quality place with well curated food selections, quality ingredients and nice ambience. Will definitely come back!
After a year of not dining in restaurants it was a true pleasure to meet friends at Akasha for lunch. The food was excellent and well priced. The service was friendly and professional.
Inside is so beautiful. With the separated tables and high ceilings, it was comfortable and covid-safe. Our server was warm and charming - and I'm no picnic! All our food was beautifully prepared, fresh and tasty - pea risotto, salmon, artichoke, humus, lasagna, kale Caesar, and yummy desserts - lemon cheesecake, bread pudding and the vegan/gluten free cake. We scoffed, then scarfed it down. Will return!
Service had gaps. I got the wrong glass of wine, and the server forgot an appetizer.
We chose this as a new place to try for Mother’s Day...it’s in a nice part of town and the prices were reasonable...but it would turn out to be very disappointing...I ordered the chicken and waffles but both tasted like they were something from the frozen aisle in the grocery store...chewy overcooked tiny chicken pieces and hard, burnt little square toaster waffles...I thought it was a joke!...I still can’t believe they served that...and although we had a reservation they told us we had to sit inside when there were available tables outside...they eventually agreed to let us sit outside but then we had to wait a while before we were serviced...not sure if the food and service was like this just for us?...or if this is how it always is?...very disappointing!! 👎🏽
A friend proposed we take each other to Mothers Day brunch together, so I chose Akasha because I've never had a bad experience, whether getting to go dinners or frozen chicken pot pies during the lockdown, eating inside in the Before Time, or meeting someone for coffee. We were ushered to the fabulous new back patio, served by the wonderful Melissa, and enjoyed mimosa and prosciutto eggs Benedict. Great ambiance, so glad you're in my neighborhood !!
Incredible and inventive cocktails and brunch food! Great prices (for LA) and great service. The coffee was fantastic which you don’t always get at a restaurant. I am definitely coming back!
I have eaten at Akasha many time. This is a great restaurant in my neighborhood. I have been eating outside for several months now. Last visit I sat inside for the first time in a year. The tables where far apart, good feeling. The space is very attractive. Food consistently well prepared. Something for everyone, I'm vegetarian in a family of meat eaters.
Good service. Good vibes outside even with the restrictions.
Fun place! Definitely will be back!
Dinner was good but we went for Happy Hour expecting to be able to order food and there wasn’t any, only drinks.
