The food was very good. However, the service was very erratic. The server gave my husband his salad but not me. After fifteen minutes, the waiter told me that my salad was being "plated". After another 15 minutes, my salad finally arrived. All this took at least 30 minutes. Meanwhile, myself husband didn't want to eat before I did, so he just sat there with his salad in front of him. After we ordered dessert, it took another 30 minutes for us to receive our order. All in all, a simple 3-course meal took 2 hours.

However, the food was well prepared. The burrata salad was delicious. The Kale Caesar could have used more than 2 small croutons--especially since I had to wait 30 minutes for it. The Bali seafood curry was unusual and delicious. I do not know why my husband's order was prepared before mine, or why it took so long. It may not have been the waiter's fault.

This is the 5th time we've dined here, and there will be a 6th. The food was delicious, and accessible. The drinks are always phenomenal -- trying the cucumber, pineapple, ginger spritzer was a true treat. Our waiter, David -- always a pleasure (we have had him 3/5 dinners), and it's like having dinner with a friend.

Thank you for making this birthday a memorable one.

I like Akasha but the menu is a bit tired. I think I prefer it for brunch because the menu is more varied and the light thru the big windows is lovely

Three of us enjoyed all of the three dishes we ordered, as well as our drinks. Definitely a place to go back to with the added bonus of being walking distance to the Kirk Douglas Theater

Had a great business meal. Everyone was happy. Was surprised by the Jazz quartet - but the noise did not effect our conversation and in fact everyone enjoyed it.

It's a great place for most occasions and budgets. Healthy food, lots of options. My coffee was surprisingly good.
Unpretentious but stylish.
The ambience is pleasant and conducive to a leisurely conversation. Overall, a satisfying urban dining experience.

Went there for Thanksgiving with our family. My daughter had been there and thought it would be a great choice. Couldn't be more wrong. We waited an hour after our reservation time to be seated. "I'm sorry" was all we received. Not a drink or wine (there were 5 of us). There were only 2 choices for Thanksgiving dinner (turkey or Fish) and both arrived lukewarm--after an excessive delay. The side dishes were hot and quite good. The vaunted pie bar was fine, but no better than a decent diner. It was wonderful to be with family and at least Akasha didn't spoil that.

The value wasn't there for the Thanksgiving Dinner. It was $160 for a 2 course meal and sides, without the service fee included. It seemed like the restaurant overbooked for this dinner as well, and thus the service wasn't too great although the staff was doing their best.

The food lacked quality and depth. I think the creativity that went into the food was a mess, and none of the flavors meshed -- especially the broccoli gratin. The brussel sprout was the best part of the meal, but it's a pretty hard dish to mess up.

I love Akasha so keep that in mind when reading my review for Thanksgiving. The soup and salad were amazing. Everything tasted great. There were just so way too much stuffing and potatoes on my plate. It was almost unappetizing. It is really hard to present a Thanksgiving plate attractively, but I think it would be good to cut back on the starch, or do all the sides separately and just have the turkey on the dinner plate (or whatever entree the person selected). Desserts were delicious.

Ate here with my family for Thanksgiving and had an incredibly pleasant, relaxing time, sitting out on the patio. The wait staff was terrific— Very patient and friendly. The meal exceeded my expectations, especially for a restaurant that had to serve so many diners.

I go to Akasha regularly, but this visit was very poor. Service was VERY slow and upon arrival was the wrong entree. 10 minutes later I finally got my meal and it was mediocre. Going to take a break from Akasha for a while.

I think the experience at Akasha has declined in the last 3 years since I went there last . I ordered the avacado/beet salad with no seeds and it came with seeds on it. We ordered some sparkling water and was delivered to the table after our soup and salad. The waiter spilled a drink on a customer at the table next to us. On the good side, they had a roasted bell pepper soup that was tremendous. Good flavors all around.

I have eaten here before and I have always found it to have good food and to be a good value. This time we had the fried chicken and the seafood soup with curry broth. Both were excellent. The only disappointment was that we showed up early and wanted to have a happy hour drink. The bar was full so the hostess suggested we go to our table and have a drink there. We did that only to find out that the happy drinks were not available at the tables. Disappointing to say the least.

I have visited in 3 previous occasion and have always left satisfied. This time the service was rushed.
Soup arrived, seconds after appetizer and the main soon after that.
The timing was way off.........and I questioned the freshness of the the bread roll served with the Vegi burger, to make up for a disappointed meal they comp one of the desserts

Will not be rushing back anytime soon.

We were seated in the coffee shop part of the restaurant, so not very pleasant when you’re in an “upscale” restaurant. Had I not been with family who just flew in from Miami, I would have left. I’ve been going to Akasha since they opened, so I was very disappointed. If you’re in the main dining room, the ambiance is quite nice. Nobody in the coffee shop, paying Main restaurant prices, looked very happy. If they don’t guarantee main dining room, my suggestion is to go elsewhere

We used to love Akasha. We celebrated birthdays there, took out of town guests, and even had a couple of very nice thanksgiving meals there. The ambience, service and cocktails are still great. But we were very disappointed in the food this last visit. Our two favorite items have been removed from the menu (flatbread and shrimp dish), the starters and main dishes were bland and uninspired, and the dessert menu didn’t entice us. We don’t mind paying for a good meal, but the food didn’t merit the tab.

The male manning the reception desk was terrible. He let me stand there for at least five (5) minutes while he was on the phone; never catching my eye, never acknowledging me. As I had made a reservation, I wanted to be sure I checked in. Finally, I saw my dining companion was already seated, so I joined him.

Additionally, it took forever for our server to take my drink order.

Very unlike the previous experiences I've had at this restaurant.
