It was a Sunday evening and we wanted to bring back some food for our elderly parents. So we tried ordering several dishes to-go and the waitstaff had to come to us on 3 separate occasions to report they were out of items. The items were Beets, Chicken, Olives, and Short Ribs. Our waitress said, “I know, i’m sorry but it’s Sunday”. The restaurant should do a better job of ordering food from vendors. Especially if you understand on which days you run low on food. We will go back solely because when you do have these items, they’re delicious. Just an annoying experience that we hope doesn’t repeat.

Loved our dinner. We were 4--ate on the patio. The heater worked well. The food delicious. We started with a pizza for all of us. Yum. Then two of us had the salmon which was prepared with care and all the right ingredients. Reminds us why it is fun to eat at a restaurant! My husband had the burger and loved it--or other friend had the chicken and everyone enjoyed their meal.

On arrival we were being seated and the host didn’t warn of a large curb. My aunt fell and fractured her elbow. He didn’t help her up. We were then sat in diff location. The man who sat us walked past several times and never spoke again. The manager came over and said it’s not the first time w that large curb. I got ice and rag from the bar tender myself for the knot on her head. Another patron noted that this was second fall she alone has seen. The manager came over and said he was writing up a report. Not true, Bc they Nvr took her name. It was as if they were afraid to hv a law suit more than her well being. One hour later we only had eaten starters. They wouldn’t even bring us silverware w out us asking for it. We finally asked for bill for what we had gotten thus far. The waitress came over after we hadn’t seen her anymore since ordering. To say the manager said he would comp the meal. We didn’t want it. We weren’t there for free food. Just general respect for patronizing their restaurant. We left and ate at Ugo’s where the service was amazing.

We loved the DineLA choices on the menu. We were a group of four and order all choices except the chicken wings. Everyone was pleased with their choice. The staff was very attentive and brought an extra heater near us because one of our party was cold. Akasha continues to be a great place to eat.

My family had a great Dine LA experience here. The food was outstanding, our sever Gabe was fun and friendly, and they were able to accommodate a last minute change to our reservation on a busy night to add a couple more people. We sat outside, which was great for us because we are being COVID careful, and enjoyed the people watching. Will come back!

We went for the Dine LA menu and in addition, ordered the turkey meatball appetizer and 2 cocktails. After waiting about half hour AFTER we ordered, we had to ask for our cocktails. We had to ask multiple times for silverware, napkins, the check. The check was brought without a pen and without my card. There were plenty of servers.

We will not return to Akasha. Don’t waste your time and money.

We finally had to ask for water and for a waiter to come because after having a reservation and sitting for 40 minutes, not one person came to the table or even offered water. The staff did apologize but I’m surprised it wasn’t more coordinated when there are reservations and noted this was a business meal. Will come back because of location and convenience.

I was very surprised at how bad our experience was last night. It was my last night in town with my fiancé who I won’t see for a while and I just wanted a “normal dining experience” on my last night. Idk where to begin?! This was my first time trying this restaurant. We had reservations, they apparently were overbooked so they stuck us on the back patio (which was fine), I was happy to be seated. Then we notice people around us look upset but we thought nothing of it. We were seated, of course with no water or anything, again, no problem. It took a server 20 mins maybe more to even acknowledge we were there. We got started with drinks and people next to us told us to put in our order too cuz it was taking awhile for food. We listened and placed our drink and food order together (we only ordered 3 items total for the whole night plus one round of drinks. The drinks took a half hour to arrive and the food (two apps and one entree) took one hour to come out. Waiters couldn’t even be bothered and apologize for the inconvenience. You would think the manager would at least come out and say sorry or something?!? I was really disappointed and dissatisfied with the customer service. We of course were expected to pay the full bill, which we did. what I think is interesting is we as patrons are expected to pretend everything is ok and pay and the restaurant gets away with it? I wish I could be refunded. It ruined my night completely. We were at the restaurant much longer than we wanted to be. We didn’t bother asking for a manager or complaining because no one was anywhere to be found in general. I’m sure maybe “they were really busy “ or short staffed, but then you as a restaurant should do something about it or make up for it in another way. At least acknowledge it! This was my first and only experience so I’m not sure if this is the norm, probably would not recommend on a busy night like a Friday or weekend.

It took us 20 minutes to simply have someone approach our table after we sat. Then, another 20 minutes to get our cocktails! By the time we had dessert we had killed 2 hours & 45 minutes there- it was one wait after another and part of the food on each of our plates was cold- the main part of the entrees were warm but the veggies & potatoes were cold on both. We saw a couple of other tables complaining, one actually got up & left.
Won’t be returning here!

I had high hopes for this place but we must have come at a very off night. Our drinks did not arrive until AFTER we finished our first course. The server said the bar was running behind but having your drinks arrive AFTER finishing the first course is not okay, especially when it was drinks for two people and one of them was a glass of wine. The entrees took over an hour to arrive. The server kept apologizing and I realize it's not his fault so we tried to be understanding. At one point they tried to serve us our dessert but we had to explain that our entrees hadn't arrived yet. They offered us a round of drinks for the long wait for the entrees but never brought it. We were sat at 8pm and our entrees arrived around 9:20pm so it just killed the mood and we were getting cranky from being hungry. The food itself was good but the long wait and inability to course our meals correctly was a turn off to me.

Great first time experience and super nice waiter and host💗
We got a great spot on patio - warm and cozy
Food was delicious but a bit on smaller side for the "Big Plates" for us 😉 who can eat and enjoy yummy meals.
Dessert on the other hand was just right and delicious 🧁
Great deal on the Vine bottles that night 🍷
Parking easy on street or right at Parking structure

I can highly recommend it -Suggestions for the bigger eaters like me; order some appetizers even if you order a "Big Plate" and all will be fantastic🦋

Food was good. Cocktails were very light pours. Ambiance was ok. We had service issues. The drinks took a long time to come and the waiter eventually stopped by the table to see if they arrived and had to go back to the bar to expedite. My wife’s starter never came out and the waiter didn’t realize that until we reminded him when the entrees were served. It was removed from the bill. We had to ask for silverware. We asked for coffees with sweetener and got black coffee without. We again had to ask the waiter to follow up. The sweetener came without a spoon which we had to ask for. Took a long time to get check as waiter again was missing in action.

Problem was two fold: waiter takes order but is not responsible for getting drinks or food on table. The ultimate servers were making errors but the second problem was the waiter didn’t check back promptly to see if things were coming out correctly and in time. He didn’t step up the supervision after we repeatedly had to ask for things.

We are used to seeing restaurants struggle post Covid with being short staffed but that didn’t seem to be the issue here.

Manager (Jose? ) apologized after we discussed and suggested we see him next time so that he could take care of us. Not sure there will be a next time.

Our server was fantastic and we generally had a good experience, but the food we received was not really as described and way overpriced (we got 6 broccoli florets that tasted like they were straight out of a frozen bag + 4 slices of red bell pepper as the "broccolini and blistered peppers" for TWELVE DOLLARS; we specifically asked if the beet/avocado salad was on greens, were told no, then it came on greens; pasta dishes were fine but nothing special, tofu curry dish was fine but bland). Probably would not dine here again unless it was happy hour or just drinks.
