I always enjoy the creativity of the seasonal menu
Adequate brunch in a nice room. Attentive service. My pancake stack could have used an extra layer or two but the ones I did get were very good. More maple syrup, also, would not have gone amiss, though the waiter would likely have brought more if asked. A cautionary note about the watery coffee: avoid it at all costs, because it's undrinkable.
Great ambiance, drinks, food and service! Love coming here with friends
My wife took me to Akasha for my birthday, and we had an excellent time. The cocktail I ordered was delicious, and the service was great. There was a band playing jazz, which I am not normally a fan of, but it was quite lovely and not too loud or distracting. We would go back again!
Poor service, food just ok, menu items old nothing new.
I felt for a $17 sandwich pretty Under whelming.
The fries were burnt and the sandwich wasn't all that.
A disappointing meal for the price.
Akasha is a consistently exceptional meal. It's moderately priced; don't go there for a cheap place to eat... this is a quality dining experience... it's among the best restaurants in Culver City, if not the best.
Good atmosphere! Good quality of food !
The waiter was amazing
I never had dinner at Akasha (I live in Italy) and I have to say that everything we ate was delicious and rafined. A real 5 stars restaurant
I ordered a burger to be medium and it was most definitely rare. I told the waiter, who said they would make a new one. By the time I received my food back, my companion was finished with her meal. I normally love Akasha, so this was quite disappointing.
I might recommend meeting a friend here, or date night, because it's a beautiful place and the lighting is wonderful. Lighting and mood in restaurants really is a lost art. However, the food and drink is very lackluster. I order a $13 glass of sangria and it might as well have been juice with chunks of mushed fruit floating in it. When I order a sangria at others (and usually for half the price) I can taste the wine and there's usually nice, fresh fruit inside and a strawberry on the rim. Not here. My friend and I both ordered the mushroom soup (also expensive) and it was like gray gruel you'd find in a nursing home. Awful. However, if you order something that can't be messed up, like a bottle of beer and a salad, then Akasha is worth it because it's a pretty and nice place with good service.
Had a fabulous Hibiscus Mezal Margarita - it was delicious.
The best food in the city! And if you're vegan, gluten free, dairy free, carnivore, whatever......there is amazing food for everyone.
Fun atmosphere for lunch, lots of energy. Service is superb and friendly and makes Akasha one
of my favorite spots.
Outstanding service especially when one of our food items wasn’t up to par. The waiter immediately removed it and said there would be no charge. The manager then came over to say the chef tasted the food and agreed with us. She then offered to give us two free glasses of wine. The potato pancakes with Lox was excellent as well as the steak. Delicious homemade ice cream. A class act
Our waiter served us water at room temperature. We asked the bus boy for cold water to when we had a chance who was very nice. The mushroom omelet our son ordered was nothing special but my veggie burger was excellent and my husband enjoyed his lox and scrambled egg plate. Although I asked our waiter for a to go container, he never brought it. The bus boy was again very nice since he brought the container as soon as I asked for it and offered to package up my leftovers.
Great restaurant with amazing food options. The coffee was spectacular!! Went for a business meeting and it was the perfect mix of casual and business. Great vibes. There are mulitple food options for everyone - vegan/vegetarian/meat/Gluten Free. Would highly recommend a reservation because they fill up quickly!
This place is an old favorite, I've been coming here with friends and family for 10 years. But its gotten stale. The restroom are dirty and grimy. It smells sour. The meal the other night was fine, the kitchen still does a good job, but the menu hasn't been updated in ages. The wine selection is good and the drinks are terrific. But the service was terrible, unwelcoming and perfunctory. The hostess wouldn't make eye contact with us and the server did everything but throw the menues at us. It wasn't busy, we were practically the only people there. Sorry to see an old favorite fall apart.
The food is creative, fresh, and varied. There is a comfortable and casual ambience. And the waitstaff is friendly and helpful. I had the potato pancakes with smoked salmon and the grilled shrimp. The rhubarb/berry cobbler was delicious. A fun evening.
Casual dining in a pleasant but rather dark interior. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive service. Limited menu, reasonably priced.
Not many options on the menu
It was great- Akasha is a consistently great place to eat
It was for my birthday and we went with the dine la menu. Everything was delicious and the service was great.
Disappointing meal and feel like this place has gone down hill in last two years. Drinks (spicy citrus tequila, mezcal peach paloma) should have been great, but were terrible - watery, dull, and flavorless. Our waiter seemed oblivious when i changed to a glass of sancerre part way through and my colleague didn't even get through half of his throughout whole meal. The onion rings were extra crispy and great, rest of food was ok. Not worth the price, currently.
We were a group of 8 celebrating my sons 19th birthday. The food was delicious, the service was on point. They added the gratuity on our bill which we were ok about until we did the math and they had added the gratuity to the tax! When we told our waitress she ignored our finding. Culver City has a high tax so add your bill before you pay.
Worst service ever.
Food was very good but wine prices are sky high. Good service but poor dessert
Creative menu in a hip space. A bit on the loud side. We had an issue with a careless busser who did not acknowledge or apologize after bumping into one of our guests and drenching her purse with water, but our server later apologized on behalf and addressed the matter in a satisfactory way.
Food needs to be a improved a disappointment from my last visit
Nice small table and great dinner with a long-time friend. Server was a little slow, but maybe bar was busy?
Good service. Delicious food. Nice ambience. The fact that you have two entrances and the back one is in to the kitchen/Mgr area is a little weird but definitely would recommend this restaurant
We visited during the beginning of DineLA week. Three had the DineLA specials and weren’t overjoyed. The shrimp appetizer was nice, but not special. The Moroccan meatball entree was not a favorite. The carne asada was a very small portion for a man. The bread pudding dessert was excellent. The walnut lemon torte was more walnut and less lemon, which disappointed the diner.
The burger was good and the kale salad was enjoyed. Coconut sorbet was excellent.
Great service. Meal was delicious as usual. We’ll be back again!
Would be great if you expanded and varied your menu. We eat at AKASHA frequently, love the food, but variety would be best.
Very special birthday celebration for my mother. The musicians even played a jazzy version of “Happy Birthday.”
We had an amazing experience
Great food. The sev puri was amazing
The cocktails were great added cbd!
Great times. The manager, Pauline from Manchester, England took extremely good care of us and recommended phenomenal food
Akasha is my favorite restaurant!! The food is ALWAYS on point. This is what restaurants are all about. Fresh tasty food, friendly people, and Ms. Akasha herself is fabulous.
Curry has wonderful flavor but it was soupy vs saucy and the black rice doesn't absorb the liquid.
