Akasha's Onion Rings

Still great! Highly recommend the tomato and burrata salad with toast. And the cacio e pepe is outstanding.
Akasha has reinvented itself with a new menu and it was always wonderful before!!
The new back patio is a comfortable space to eat there, although we prefer the buzz of the front terrace.
The food is a consistent high quality and always feels healthy.
In these dark times it stands out as an “upper” and good value to boot!
Akasha has built a nice outdoor patio behind the restaurant. It is the first time I have gone out to eat in months. I felt safe. The food is excellent as always. Seasonal peaches were a hit. Beautiful dinner rolls with homemade peach jam were so yummy!
Food was good, service great. Patio dining was really nice.
I love eating at Akasha. We had their Summer Pimms Cup and they were delicious! We enjoyed the fritters to start, the salmon and the chicken. Everything was fresh, properly prepared and fabulous. They’ve really got it down with the care that is taken for all the requirements for dining right now.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND WAITRESS WAS SUPER NICE!
We had a wonderful time at AKASHA at their outdoor new patio dining area! Great atmosphere and food...and most importantly all the employees are very well equipped for Covid protection. Felt very safe dining here!
I needed a meal out and overall I had once food delivered to me downtown at home and later picked it up and recently went to dinner outdoors. They were this time as they have always been FANTASTIC! Best bear salad ever, best salmon I’ve had in a long time, best desserts, best drinks, the waiter, who was the bartender was making me drinks knowing my tastes and need for low sugar. It was great. I’ve been going off and on (more off, as it’s out of the way) but during this covid I’d pick up amazing food and even veggies. I just love Akasha, and her husband is also super kind. I’ve not really spoken with her but man, thank you! I felt safe as social distancing was perfect, everything clean and the staff in masks making sure everyone is great! Yay
Akasha is one of our favorite spots. The ambiance is amazing (live Jazz some nights!) and the food is consistently delicious and beautiful. We always have a very knowledgable server who knows the menu and can make recommendations. This trip was especially great, as the restaurant was impeccably clean, our waiter was super fun and knew his stuff, and our food was perfection: from the Smoked Salmon Egg scramble to the Benedict and then the GF Lemon loaf that we took home was perfect for our afternoon snack. Go to Akasha, they are great!
I had been here once for happy hour and loved it so I brought my fiance here for our date night. I have a lot of allergies so going out to eat can be annoying. Our server was kind enough to check on all the ingredients for me and make sure I was safe. The dinner and dessert was delicious. Was it mind-blowing? No. But it was a tasty meal out with a beautiful ambiance. We'll come back again!
Food has become dull. Needs a change up in menu. Server was good. Odd wait at front before anyone showed up to seat us. Venue can be extremely loud when busy,
Not at all what it used to be. Two of us. In and out in 45 min. Not a good experience. Drinks were terrible and the food was really disappointing. If it wasn’t for the romantic building, I wouldn’t have gone back. Now I won’t for sure.
Absolutely amazing, once again. I have eaten at Akasha's many times and never cease to be entertained by the food, as well as the atmosphere. This time I indulged in comfort food, sampling the GF Onion Rings and GF Fried Chicken Sandwich, but I also had to have a bowl of their special Split Pea soup. Thanks to all for a wonderful meal and evening!
I've eaten here twice for lunch and both times it was outstanding. Some interesting menu items keep it fresh. Also terrific service.
Food was fresh and excellent.
The food used to be outstanding....I had the chopped salad and it was below average. The help was not very helpful nor engaged. They rarely checked in on us.
Burger was good but bacon was half raw. My side salad had literally five pieces of lettuce. And my colleagues side salad was half her plate. Consistency could use some serious work.
Fantastic as always!
Every night with exception to this one has been great. My recent experience was an "off" night. Poor service by waiter, food came super late, the person delivering the food to our table felt like he was just dropping it off, the Caesar salad was soggy (too much dressing), and we had to run to catch our movie time.
All other nights than this last one have been great, so this was just an "off" night and we'll give Akasha a pass. ;-)
I have always loved the Ambience- but the new menu is now VERY limited. Seems half were burgers...menu is now poor. Good service. Great atmosphere.
Nice vibe, good food, good service. Will definitely visit again.
Food is great! Lots of options for healthy and vegan.
We were seated promptly and service was above par. Food was very good and delivered not long after we ordered. Perfect place for a Sunday brunch get together!
The food and the manager is we’re absolutely fantastic. The steak was perfectly cooked and so delicious. Cocktails were amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
Had a very lovely time for Valentine’s Day! Food and service were great!
The service was friendly and the dishes were tasty.
Love it! Great place for vegetarians and foodies to dine together in peace.
Normally I love Akasha but the turkey burger was so boring. We were the only ones on the patio and were frequently overlooked for service. 1/2 off bottles of wine on Wednesday is great!
Very accommodating staff. I dropped my avocado toast while transfering it to another plate. The waitress replaced it without additional costs. Food was absolutely fabulous.
Great ambiance and service. Heard good things about the food from my clients -- I personally didn't like what I ordered for lunch as it was bland (Red Quinoa Pilaf w/ Lemon Grilled Chicken).
By far the best burgers in LA! Great ambience--a bit noisy but comfortable. It's our neighborhood place to eat. Great wine list, too! The service is always fabulous, too.
I have previously had good experiences at Akasha. However this time when we showed up for our 2 p.m. reservation there was a sign on the door saying closing at 2:30 for the Super Bowl. This was not mentioned on the website nor when I made the reservation that morning. The hostess told us that just the kitchen would be closing but we would be free to hang out. Once seated, we were not served. I had to chase down the waitress twice, once to give our orders, the second time to get sugar and a spoon for my coffee. Then at 3 we were told we had to leave, in direct contradiction of what we were told when we arrived. We would have gone somewhere else to begin with if we had known we were going to be chased out. I was with friends visiting from New York; this was not a good impression to make. Akasha is off my list of places to eat in Culver City!
Akasha is my favorite Culver City restaurant. I recommend it to people all the time.
Love Akasha. Always consistently good. Will return
Fantastic, stylish & buzzing place for dinner. Excellent service & really interesting & delicious food.
Lovely restaurant with great food. Very enjoyable experience. Two thumbs up!
Their food is fabulous. A great place for a vegetarian like me!
The cocktails were excellent but the food was just mediocre. We ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Bali Curry, Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Hamachi and Bread Pudding. Out of the 5 plates, only the Brussel Sprouts and Bali Curry were good, the rest was just ok. Loved the decor and ambiance of the place but not going back because the food was disappointing.
Fantastic thru and thru! The best neighborhood restaurant! Food is always delicious and the service and atmosphere inviting!
