Food stale. Ambience average. Would not advise to visit.
We had a superb experience at Akash. It's easy to dismiss, hidden, as it is, on an out-of-the-way portion of Alton Road. Doing so, however, would be a grave mistake.
Akash has a cool, modern vibe inside, with a pleasant outdoor seating area. The staff are friendly an attentive, and the prices are very competitive. Where Akash really shines, however, is the food. It was absolutely delicious. I would particularly recommend their namesake curry - I am still thinking of it, days later.
I would cheerfully go to Akash again, and endorse them without hesitation.
Good service and good food. The tandoori dishes were a hit.
Amazing service. Excellent food. Never disappointed when dining here.
Great service, delicious food, fun ambiance. Went with 4 friends and we were able to share dishes and have conversations without difficulty. A great find in South Beach
Delicious authentic Indian food restaurant in Miami Beach. Staff always helpful and ready to explain and recommend entrees from the menu. Every item we have tried have been wonderful.
Very friendly staff w/great service! Food was delicious and very reasonably priced.
Excellent food. Medium size quantities. Not a place to go if you have any specific dietary requests, as it is very difficult to get any modification of a dish. Their manager is a friendly person.
Great indian food, close to home...yum
The food was mediocre and very crowded. Our table was a fold out table. The service was ok.
Outstanding food outstanding service line out the door along the sidewalk down the block last night (Christmas day). Authentic Indian everything and truly made fresh so it’s so worth the wait. They take pride in their craft and the public have responded. We were so fortunate to get there early!!
The service was nice and curries were tasty. However the breads were not the traditional Indian style.
The gentleman serving us and the owner (not to mention his son in law) couldn't have been any kinder or more attentive. Made us feel like family, even though we happened to be the last ones sitting for dinner. The food was spectacular and I am dreaming of my return to Miami in the spring so I can go back at least twice while visiting. It is very difficult to find excellent Indian food, and this family certainly hit that mark. Simply loved it.

This was our second visit to Akash, and it was even more memorable than the first. We ordered the Biriyani with chicken and the lamb Vindaloo (both delicious and come with a minimum heat (spicy) level of medium - ask for "hot" or "super hot" at your own risk!).
We also ordered Kashmiri naan, which added a wonderfully sweet counterbalance to the heat of the entrees. Portion sizes are plentiful (especially the Biriyanis), so don't be surprised if you have leftovers to take home.
The service is friendly and efficient, and the amiable owner is always available to make sure everything is satisfactory.
I loved the good although the butter was too much in the paneer. I wish they would get rid of the aquarium they have. It’s too small and seeing the 2 fish have to swim vertically was so sad. They should buy a bigger one or get rid of it.
Delicious authentic Indian food.
Authentic and delicious Indian Food . Our fish was delicious
The staff and the owner are great .
Excellent all around. Our go to place for Indian food.
Lovely people, very tasty authentic Indian food.
Fourth time. Love the food, the owner and this place is a great neighborhood go to!!!
Best Indian restaurant in Miami. Better thanzaika and bombay dharbar. ghee isnt traditional indian, so this is better
Really excellent food in somewhat ordinary decor ... but the complimentary reviews are well-justified. If you like Indian food, you’ll love the low-key authenticity.
Great food and friendly service
Saturday night dinner and the service was terrible. Waited long time between meals and the waiter was not knowable about the menu.
Had an amazing experience. Food was awesome! Management and employees were super nice and professional. Great service!! Will definitely go back.
The best Indian food I have tasted in the Miami area. We visited last Saturday and had a lovely dinner with Vegetable Biryani, Palak Paneer, Chana Masala and Bhindi Masala.
The Bhindi Masala was excellent. A must try for anyone who likes okra.
Food was excellent but extremely expensive. We asked for refrigerated water; The original waiter forgot but we asked another very friendly and caring waiter who when requested brought it quickly. Mandatory inclusion of 15% tip in bill without customer approval/discretion is dictatorial. Then when the receipt is presented it asks the customer if you want to add additional tip on top of already included 15% tip!!! Washroom requires upgrade to look modern and needs to be regularly cleaned. One of the waiter was extremely friendly and helpful and helped us with the pick up location for the Uber ride.
Absolutely beautifully seasoned food, full of flavour and they are happy to make curries to a spice level that suits you.
Staff were attentive without being intrusive and couldn't do enough for us. When we said we were too full for dessert they brought out a small ice-cream for us to share on the house.
Really lovely little restaurant, a gem of South beach. Very glad to have visited!
Food was average. Nothing special. It is an Indian menu. You get Indian food. Restaurant was more a bar atmosphere with a fast food charm. I get more attentive service at a Wendy’s. Will not really go back unless Wendy’s closes down. Expected so much more.
Great food and service. Appetizers are a little pricey.
Here on vacation. Found this place on the web and decided to give it a try. It’s pricy, but the food is excellent! Wanted to go here one more time before we head out but unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity. Definitely recommend!
This is now my favorite Indian Restaurants in Miami. Excellent service, yummy food & amazing drinks!
Great neighborhood place for a delicious dinner with exceptional service.
Magnificent Indian cooking...there is true soul in the kitchen...in a relaxing and lovely room, with the best service in town. Congrats, Awash...you rock.
Fantastic service with exceptional food! Feel good local spot!
Loved the food and the service! We will keep on coming back!
Would recommend Chicken lollipops & chicken tikka masala. Friendly staff in a nice atmosphere. Would definitely return.
The restaurant was already full when we arrived just after 7 pm on a Saturday night, we were glad to see this newcomer to Miami Beach doing well. We were in the mood for a meat-centric feast as there were options on the menu not often seen, like ground lamb samosas and goat! Goat is not a common offering on menus outside of Little Haiti! The samosa came out hot, flavorful and whet the appetite. Of course, we had to try the tandoori lamb chops, they arrived sizzling on a platter, the scent intoxicating, they were flavorful, moist and incredibly tender! We shared the chicken mekhani, with layers of spice and savoriness yet not overly heavy and creamy. I ordered the goat vindaloo and love a spicy curry but the waiter told me that the dish already had plenty of heat and to order as is. He was right. The depth of flavors in the vindaloo were authentic and complex, the heat not overpowering. I even bit into a cardamom pod. The service was quick and attentive, the entire staff seems to work together to keep up the pace and get the dishes out efficiently during a rush. After eating many a bland Indian meal in Miami, Akash is certainly a welcome oasis of Indian delights on the Beach.
Amazing food and ambiance. Owner was very nice too
