Located in Lexington’s Historical district Akame Nigiri and Sake offers an un-traditional Omakase experience. Akame Nigiri and Sake will be offering a 15 Course Omakase for $180 per person. The Omakase focuses on Japanese Seafood flown in directly from Toyosu fish market. While seated at our 6 seat Omakase Bar, guest will be able to enjoy a semi-private Omakase experience skillfully crafted by Chef Michael Monaco. Seating's will be held Thursday through Saturday at 6:15pm and 8:30pm. All Allergies and food aversions must be communicated 72 hours in advance, so we have time to make adequate changes. Due to the nature of the meal touch sensitive Shellfish and Crustaceans Allergies cannot be accommodated.

You will be seated at our six seat Omakase counter where you will be able to enjoy a wide variety of Japanese fish prepared in a creative way. Omakase Seating’s are 6:15 and 8:30pm Thursday-Saturday. Excellent addition to the Lexington dining scene. Chef Mike and his brother Joseph were cordial, attentive and knowledgeable. The dishes are inspired and creative -- don't go if you only stick to edomae omakase, go if you are open to new flavors and influences

If you are seeking an extraordinary dining experience, this is it. Meticulous crafting of extraordinary Japanese delicacies. Phenomenal attention to detail, exquisite and creative, beautifully presented. You watch every course being prepared in front of you by a master. I am from France and over there restaurants are creative and innovative. I have been having a hard time finding restaurants that offer something different. Most restaurants have pretty much the same menu. Akame Nigiri provided me with a unique experience, unique flavors. It's comes at a price but was a well worth treat for a birthday. I really think US restaurants need to take more risks and innovate more. Kudos to Akame Nigiri for offering such a unique experience. The sushi I ate there were simply the best I ever eaten and, I never ate those kind of sushis anywhere else. Innovative, unique, tasty and a great atmosphere. Easy to park. Try it.

Had a dinner to celebrate our 5 years of marriage. It was our first experience with an omakase and it was divine. The courses that were created just kept getting better and better. Well worth the money spent for delicious food and new experiences/adventures. Chef was friendly!

One if not the best sushi experiences my girlfriend and I have ever had! Mike is a most talented chef; had amazing skill and knowledge as he led us through the courses of fresh Japanese fish, wagyu and other sushi delights; each paired with innovative and exciting garnishes the likes of which tantalized our taste buds and broadened our culinary horizons. Every question was answered with expertise. Ambiance and Saki menu were also great. Id give more than ten stars if I could.

I’ve never been moved to write a review before, but this place is so over the top fantastic that I had to. From start to finish each, and every course is a marvel of flavors and technique. Mike is a master at combining unique ingredients and the highest quality fish to create an experience that’s like no other certainly in the area, but even extended surroundings. Everything was mouthwateringly delicious, including the Prosecco and sake we enjoyed alongside. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I hope he reaches the highest success with this endeavor and gets all the kudos he deserves. We’ll be back again and again - assuming we can get in after this review! Yum!!

Absolutely incredible meal, hidden away behind the main road in Lexington. Two seatings a night, maximum of 6 guests. Be prepared for a journey of unexpected sushi construction, all of which will be delicious. Also be prepared to make friends with your fellow guests. The chef is right behind the counter the whole time, walking us through the meal, explaining his thinking behind his creations, and taking part in the guest conversations. Definitely a place to return to again, and again. Zero hesitation behind leaving a review like this, I look forward to being unable to get a reservation because they're booked up. I don't get how this place isn't on every list. Go here! Have your mind blown! Enjoy!

Engaging and very enjoyable, “American Omakase” meal. The chef/owner is clearly all-in, knowledgeable and very personable. Interesting, unusual types of fish, very fresh-tasting, mostly Japanese-imported. As I’ve experienced elsewhere in Boston, the meal crescendos in rich late courses, as opposed to what I’ve had in Japan, which are more simple at the end. Requests for changes/substitutions were dealt with easily. All 4 of us who were at the dinner would happily go back.

Great service. Chef Mike even offered to sub out meat for alternatives given I am abstaining meat on fridays during lent. Our group of 4 had a delicious meal and the chef recommended some solid sake. Do yourself a service and check this place out!

We just love the fact that there is an omakase-style dining experience right in our backyard. Sushi making is an art and Chef Mike is a true artist! The combination of fish and flavors were outstanding and the presentation was beautiful. Each of the 15 “courses” provided a different taste sensation and the saki pairings were perfect. Find five of your closest friends and enjoy the opportunity to have the restaurant to yourselves and the chef’s full attention!

The overall experience was amazing to say the least. It’s a small setting, perfect for an Omakase experience and true to the tradition of a chef selected dinner. It was myself, my date, and another couple. We had made good conversation with each other but the real star of the show was the food. Good food speaks for itself and that shined bright here as each course outdid itself as it went on. It was 16 courses and I believe it was the perfect amount. I left satisfied and full. If you’re looking for an amazing Omakase experience then do not pass up on this place. It’s amazing!

Amazing meal! It was such a unique experience. The chef, Mike, served us course after course of super fresh fish each complimented by an interesting and beautiful array of fruit or vegetable meant to enhance the flavors of the fish. He also served a few additional courses including soup and meat and cooked fish. Everything was so fresh and beautifully crafted - totally worth it and I would absolutely go back.

Chef Mike is amazing! He certainly knows his stuff about fish and meshing flavors well. It was an intimate omakase experience with hit after hit of delicious flavorful fish. The location is great (thank god, not in Boston), and plentiful parking! Will be returning for another date night.
