   Aji Rio does NOT honor/recognize open table reservations. My Open Table reservation at 7pm last Saturday was not recognized by the Aji Limo hostess who told me they don't "use" Open table any more. Fortunately they were able to seat my wife and I and while we dined near the hostess, we saw a party of 10 with an open table reservation turned away... Other than that, the restaurant is great...

   Very kind servers, good cocktails. Food was hit or miss, Ceviche was good, but main dishes were almost cold when we get them. Lomo Saltado beef quality was top notch, but was served almost cold with cold tomatoes and completely raw onions on top, $40 dish but kind of ruined the meat due to bad/ untimely prep. Restroom is very cluttery.

   They were very short staffed on a Saturday night. Staff was very pleasant though. Food good. Ambiance was terrible with windows open (it was hot outside) AND SIRENS AND STREET NOISE WERE UNPLEASANT. Chimichurri sauce was the best ever. Chicken spices very good. Fish fillet and sauce excellent. I would give them another chance though.

    Second time here. Brought my in-laws this time. We ordered a number of dishes. The food was delicious like before. Of the bunch, Arroz con Mariscos was our favorite. Service was friendly and excellent!

    New to us and we'll go back. Peruvian standards Ceviche and my Pisco Sour were excellent. Our entrees were very good with ample portions. It's a very roomy restaurant with space for large gatherings.

    Wonderful service, warm welcoming atmosphere, and delicious Peruvian cuisine await you at Aji Limo in Belmont. We have been here several times and the food never disappoints. The arroz con mariscos and roasted chicken - whole or half with delicious dipping sauces - are stand outs for us, along with the fresh ceviches. Treat yourself to delicious and authentic Peruvian food at Aji Limo!

    Wonderful food and drinks. Great service. The music can be a bit loud from time to time but they are very accommodating if you ask them to turn it down a bit :) We come here regularly.

    What a neighborhood gem! I took my mom and sister in laws to have lunch here before heading out to Filoli garden. I’ve had Peruvian food before in SF where the place is quite fancy. I’m sorry to say, THIS restaurant has better foods and prices!! Everything we ordered were soooooo delish! My mom is a light eater. However, she was able to finish the salmon dish!! And, she wanted to try the other dishes! If you aren’t sure what to order, just ask the Staff! They would let you know their favorites! The staff were so attentive and checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we wanted and that we enjoyed the foods. We are definitely coming back!!

    This is our return visit celebrating Mother's Day. The Beef Empanadas, Parrilla Fruitos del Mar and Tallarin Saltado were outstanding, fresh and packed with flavor! The Sweet Passion was delicious and not too sweet. The only drawback to this restaurant is they do not serve coffee. Service is fine but a bit slow for us. They certainly don't rush you out.

    The food was delicious. We had the Beef Empanadas, Yuquitas a la Huancaina, Salchipapa Pituca, Chicharron de Chancho, and Ceviche Mixto. We enjoyed the Chicharron de Chancho and Ceviche Mixto the most. Their Peruvian Classic Pisco Sour was tasty. We ordered another round! Our waitress was very kind and attentive.

    I had the arroz con mariscos, Tigre de leche ceviche with fish and beef empanadas. They were all good! The seafood in the rice was a bit over cooked but overall everything was super yummy. Vary casual setting, we were the only customers so it was very quiet

    We were looking for a restaurant that would be open on Christmas Eve. Happy that Aji Limo Peruvian was open. My friend loves Peruvian food, especially ceviche. She was not disappointed. Our cocktails were excellent, and the entrees were on spot. Topped off the evening with dessert, and again the desserts were very good. Wonderful dinner, and I’m sure we’ll be back again.

    My birthday dinner was absolutely wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed every course. The cerviche 👌, the salmon and beef cooked and seasoned perfectly. Amazing pisco sour. Excellent service. Looking forward to our next meal there.

    I recommend this restaurant for any of the ceviche. The ingredients are fresh, you get a good portion and they are tasty. If I was reviewing just for the ceviche I’d give 4 or 5 stars. However, I found the lomo saltado to be pretty bland (it was supposed to be spicy) and not something I’d go back for.

    What a find. The food and service was amazing. The spices used in the dishes blew us away. Great appetizers, entrees, dessert, cocktails and coffee. Met the owner after dinner too! Can't wait to go back!

    Stumbled onto this restaurant via Open Table. We've always loved Peruvian cuisine and decided to try it. So glad we did! The food (Arroz con Mariscos and Ojo de Bife) were done to perfection. It was flavorful, delectable and fresh. Very authentic! The Sweet Passion (mango cheesecake) was smooth and silky. There was plenty of mango chunks on top. The only drawback was the restaurant doesn't serve coffee. The service was a bit slow with only one waiter for the whole place. Despite this minor hiccup, we will definitely return.

    We had ceviche classico and mixto. Both were excellent, but the mixto was better. Very large portions. We also had chicharon of pork --- delicious.

    Everything was fine, the food tasted good, and the server seemed attentive. I was surprised that there were no specials that day, only the regular menu, considering that it was Peru’s Independence Day. I wasn’t disappointed with any of the dishes and we’ll come back to explore the menu a bit more.

    Went on a weeknight at 7:00. Small crowd, pleasant room. Only one waitress, but she provided excellent service: good advice, order taken quickly, checked twice on whether we were satisfied. The menu is not nearly as long as some shown online, eg, no antecuchos, limited list of desserts, but we were happy with the choices available. The ceviche mixto was great - among the very best I have had here or in Peru. Fresh tasting, lots of octopus, shrimp and white fish in a perfect marinade, huge portion. The pork chicharon was simply outstanding. We had never had it before, but we agreed it was worth our half-hour drive just for that! Huge serving, rich taste, great consistency, although some might find it too salty. Unlike many other reviewers, we were not blown away by the lomo saltado, which we shared. It was good quality beef nicely cooked, but kind of boring next to the ceviche and chicharon. We skipped dessert. I don't drink alcohol, although the idea of a pisco sour did tempt me. Instead I had a Peruvian fruit-based drink whose name I don't recall, but it was first on the drinks list. It had a very interesting flavor, not sweet, and was very pleasant with the food. We will be back soon!
