My wife’s birthday. We celebrated with her mother and father who both have picky Atlanta palates. We have been here before for other occasions and have enjoyed the food each time.
Food was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the Lamb Shank, Octopus and Escargot. I had the Paris-Brest dessert for the first time and it was delicious. Most importantly, we had wonderful service by Laura B! Obviously on the more expensive side, but worth it for special occasions.
We were amazed at how inflexible the staff was about our table for seating as we got there at opening and all tables were open. Felt the seats we were given were given less than desireable.
Enjoyable time. Bouillabaisse was outstanding. Hazelnut pastry terrific. Lamb was meh. Service outstanding.
Fantastic cuisine and great wine list! The chef and his team never disappoint and the wait staff are wonderful, caring and efficient, making for a superb dining experience.
Delightful experience. A small property that provides an intimate atmosphere. Intend to visit again.
Quaint peaceful restaurant with outstanding food and service
The wait staff was friendly, knowledgable, and non-intrusive. The owner welcomed us and answered questions about the restaurant. We have every intention of returning as often as we can.
Terrific service, excellent food. Ambiance is what it is, I wish this restaurant was in an old stone house or more authentic French setting.
Excellent, as always! The staff is very attentive (in a good way) and the food is impeccable.
Amazing food in a cozy atmosphere
Amazing evening! Our food was outstanding - beef tartare innovating with great flavors. My husband said his cassoulet was the best he has ever had. My lamb tangine was everything I expected. Aix had wonderful cocktails and good wine list. Laura provided us with great service. We will be back.
Amazing staff and incredible food. Perfect for the evening out with a loved one or friends. Bryan is always there and very attentive!
We have been here several times for lunch. It is very good
The best neighborhood restaurant in Eastover/Myers Park and beyond.
Great Thursday lunch, patio was perfect!
Consistently delicious with great service all around. You won’t go wrong here!
Dining at Aix en Provence is always special. The food is wonderful and the service outstanding. It's a great addition to the neighborhood.
Very disappointing evening! The hostess refused to seat us in the dining room, even though we had a reservation. The server and one of the managers constantly interrupted us trying to push us along. Diner at a fine restaurant is an event not just just a quick fast food meal. We wanted a nice evening. We got good fast food with very poor service and bad management.
The lamb tagine was excellent. I could have used a bit more forward Morrocan spice flavor but it was good. My wife's cassoulet was excellent as well. The bread never disappoints.
Late Valentines’s Day
Lovely dinner with my parents for my father’s birthday. I would recommend to others.
We had Valentine's Day dinner at Aix en Provence. The food and wine were outstanding and the chocolate soufflé for dessert was out of this world! We had a bit of a wait for a table not near the door but the hostess and manager were so helpful and polite that it didn't seem bad at all. My wife also had a salad that she didn't care for but even though we said it was no problem, the restaurant manager took the salad off of our bill without us even requesting that. Overall a fantastic evening! We will definitely be back.
Great service and great meal- thanks for making a substitution with my risotto on a busy night.
Amazing food and service! Had a romantic valentine dinner and enjoyed the authentic cuisine. Will definitely return to try other menu items!
Fantastic from start to finish
Awesome as always! Cheers, Randy
Great Valentine's Day lunch. Attentive but unobtrusive service. Always great food.
Food selection and preparation was outstanding and the service was attentive but not overbearing. That always makes for a great evening.
I really like Aix en Provence for a nice date night. The bottles of wine aren't horribly priced, the food is really good, and dessert is amazing. The only thing that bothers me a little is how small the place is. They have this tiny table basically in a walkway that would be horrible to sit at. Also the bar is nice, but contributes 90% of the noise level.
What we ordered: grilled octopus for our app, the Boeuf and Scottish Salmon as our entrees, and the Brest for dessert. These plates were very small. The last time I had dinner here, I don't remember what I ordered but it was larger. The salmon was cooked perfectly, but the skin on top was a little annoying to try and cut. The dish overall was just good, not great. Going back to the octopus, it was also cooked perfectly but there was way too much of the (what I called) fajita veggies. The dessert was the best part though: choux pastry, crème anglaise, and hazelnut. I could have eaten all of it myself.
Decor is a bit dated but the food makes up for by a wide margin. This is hands down some of the best cooking happening in Charlotte.
Everything was fabulous. Our server Paula was fantastic. The foise gras torchon was excellent. It was beautifully prepared. The duck confit was very good and we finished the meal with their patachou desert which was sublime. I would highly recommend Aix en Provence for any occasion.
Wonderful gem in Mayers Park! We enjoy coming here for unbelievable food and service - my opinion the Best in Charlotte! Live music is a great addition. We will see you soon.
If you desire French food in Charlotte, this is the place to go. It is on par with many of the great restaurants in NYC, DC and elsewhere.
Amazing meal, the food was superb and the service outstanding. very knowledgeable. Love the live music.
Outstanding food, service, ambiance. Will definitely go back!
Celebrating promotion with my family
Delightful lunch with a friend. They know my friend well so maybe that was the extra care shown, but I doubt it. They provide perfect service! Risotto with mushrooms was a treat on a cold afternoon and warm baguette with butter and sea salt did the trick. The dessert was like a crispy eclair and filled with hazelnut cream - just delightful and huge - glad we shared! Will definitely go back.
Impeccable service and outstanding food, reminded us of a small bistro in france. Tres Bien!
