Seated quickly (place is 1/2 empty). Table wasn't clean and got some kind of sauce all over my shirt sleeve. That's bad but especially during a pandemic. Requested table be cleaned and hostess used a ridiculously wet rag that left the table drenched.
Menus were barely readable. Was told "Printer is running out of ink".
Ordered drinks and food. Took 45+ minutes to get 2 burgers. Still left 15% but I have been leaving more due to pandemic, in this case it wasn't deserved.
Won't come back.
I made a reservation for outside seating for a celebration of my daughter’s upcoming wedding. When we checked in with the hostess she rudely informed us they do not accept reservations for outside seating and on top of that we probably wouldn’t get served because they had people call in sick. We asked to speak to the manager. While we waited the hostess took 3 phone orders. Curious if they don’t have the ability to accommodate the people actually in their restaurant why would they be accepting phone orders? The manager was equally rude and told us there was nothing he could do “corporate controls the online options for reservations.” He told us we could sit inside but probably wouldn’t get served anytime soon.
If they don’t take reservations for outside seating why wouldn’t they call and let people know that when the reservation is made? I made it a week before the date. They require you to give a phone number so why not be proactive and let people know about the error. I completely understand that employees call in and that is out of their control. Again, why not be proactive and let people with reservations know of the issue so they can choose to make other arrangements instead of waiting for them to show up and then rudely informing them they won’t be served. So disappointed that in these times of businesses closing almost daily that this is how they treat their patrons. We will choose to support the restaurants who deliver quality customer service. We will not return to the Ainsworth.
There to watch the band. Food great but took over an hour to get it
Terribly slow service. Drink order was waiting at the bar for 10 minites. Food came out, finally, but left one meal out. Food tasted good, but we were exasperated by the time it arrived.
We didn’t have a great experience at The Ainsworth. There looked to only be one waitress for the entire restaurant. We were told they were short staffed, which is fine. But it took an hour to get our food, which wasn’t anything to write home about, and had to remind our waitress about drinks, which she didn’t put in. Then we sat waiting for our check and had to get up and actually find our waitress to get our check and pay. Will not be returning here.
The place is lovely and the service was fine. But we had overpriced chicken Caesar salad’s that were awful. There was no taste to the dressing. The chicken was little tiny pieces of dark meat.
We also ordered oysters as an appetizer which came after some people at our table had gotten their entrée.
There was a concert going on outside and it was obvious that the restaurant was not staffed to manage the crowd size. Drinks sometimes took 15-20 minutes from the bar. They were out of almost all white wine and Prosecco. Ordering food was a disaster. Almost everything we ordered was out. One member of our party does not eat meat, but all fish options were sold out. Three times the waitress had to come back after we placed our order to tell us something was out. The waitress really saved the evening for us. She was so kind and apologetic for the difficulties. I’d come back but hope the staffing situation gets better.
Restaurant was out of a lot of food options.
Had a great waitress and food was incredible. Their Brussels sprouts have haunted my dreams
restaurant was nice food was decent however the wings I ordered we're not fresh wings they were frozen wings you could definitely tell and our drinks weir high I ordered a drink off the menu and it showed up on my check at a higher price the music was nice but that's about it won't go back
Totally overpriced for what is just mediocre food. And then lackluster service to boot. Second time there. Won’t be back.
For a Friday night the space was not busy, they made a big deal about the seat we chose, although the restaurant was only 15-20% full.
The server was pushy with the drinks and in the beginning we felt very rushed.
The actual restaurant was decorated beautifully and should be a lovely place for a nice meal. Sadly, the feel was they will be out of business in the next few months without a quick uptake in patrons.
First time here. Service was extremely slow. Got there at 630 for reservation and seated right away. We sat at our table for 20 min before water was brought and drink order was taken. Took another 10 minutes to get the drinks. Ordered appetizer. 10 min later we were told they were out of the appetizer we ordered. Food was good. Just overall not the experience we were expecting.
Sad to say that The Ainsworth was very very disappointing. On a Friday evening with the restaurant empty inside, that should have been a clue. Service was extremely poor. No one even came to ask us for water for the first 15-20 minutes. And the food orders kept getting messed up with no apologies! They even charged us for a salad order (sent with chicken when specifically ordered Vegetarian) that was canceled. Again, at least an apology or something would have helped a poorly managed situation encourage us to possibly re-visit but the lack thereof indicates this is a poorly managed restaurant and will likely be leaving Park Place as its predecessor.
Awesome place to watch games. Food is good.
We received a gift card to this restaurant so my husband and I went out for a date night. When we arrived on a Saturday evening, we could see into the restaurant. It was empty at 6:30pm! We thought that was odd but decides to give it a shot. We were seated right away, as we had reservations. While looking around the restaurant, only two other tables had people at them. We waited maybe 5 minutes and no one ever came to take our drink order or anything. Now I know five minutes is not a long time to wait, however the restaurant was completely empty. We decided to go ahead and get up and leave to go down the street to another restaurant. While walking out, a worker said “thank you for coming in!” They did not even know we did not eat there! Definitely will not be back.
-Poor food preparation
Wonderful food. Hostess and waitress went over and above to accommodate us. Highly recommend!
1. One of the worst waitresses I can ever remember having. And the scariest part was she was training another waitress that evening! She had no idea how to provide decent customer service.
2. Limited drink selection - but they still were out of what my date ordered. Instead, just brought her something similar without explanation so we had to send it back.
3. Limited food selection - but they were out of the chicken tacos by 7:30 on a Friday evening. The waitress stated, “I think we sold too many chicken nachos earlier . . . “ What?
4. Arrived at 7:15 and it was so loud we had to yell across the table at each other to talk. But within 20 - 30 minutes the bar area had cleared out and the noise level improved.
5. Our bill contained the drink we sent back and I didn’t catch it until after we left. Yes, I was in a hurry to get out of this place!
6. So $50 bucks for two beers and two orders of the beef (three small) street tacos. Way overpriced!
7. Avoid this place at all costs!
Sorry to hear about this horrible experience. This is so far from our par it is very disturbing. I can do nothing to change the past, but just my best to change the impact we make in the future. I would like the opportunity to invite you back for a dinner on us to show you what we are capable of, what you should of received your first visit , a great experience in an awesome environment. I hope you take us up on this offer and decide to return.
We've eaten here before and the food was very good. Just gave them 3 stars today because the Cobb salads were very average. Also my wife's Cosmo was extremely tart and had to be remade. Not sure what happened there. Service at the table was excellent, but I show 4 stars because we had to struggle with the greeter to get an outside table for the concert. Open table accepted and showed a confirmed outside table reservation, but they had given them all out to people that came in earlier without reservations. Luckily my wife saw one that opened up, but we had to speak with the manager to get it. He said the outside was first come, first served and was going to contact Open Table about the reservation wording. We'll be back no doubt, because it's the best seats with food for the concerts (for now).
to be fair, the food was pretty good - especially the beef tacos and the service was nice...but a bit too sports bar-ish for me and altho the server was very nice he didn't seem to be too knowledgable about the menu items but I'm sure he doesn't get too many questions from the regular clientele - wasn't a bad time but just not my "thing"
Great food and ambiance!
Ainsworth has taken some of their best items off the menu and they were out of some of their good items. The waitress wasn’t very accommodating for our birthday party of 5 even though it was not busy in the restaurant.
We had great service and the food was really good, too! However, we arrived during “Happy Hour” and were told that the alcohol drinks were half off. Some of our group ordered specialty drinks and didn’t know those were full price until the bill came, so that should be communicated at the time of ordering.
We were a party of 7 and chose to eat outside since it was a nice evening, unfortunately, there was an event being held in the square that at times made it difficult to visit with our guests. Other than that I thought the food was very good. I had the parm chicken sandwich and a side salad. The salad was fresh, the dressing was very good and the sandwich was delicious! Overall I was very pleased with the food, and the service was good. I would definitely eat there again.
Great food, good service, very popular at lunch it seemed
Food was fine, lots of TVs that weren't overwhelming. Wait staff very inexperienced but very nice, did her best.
Understaffed and terrible service. Took 10 mins for anyone to come greet us, table next to us actually walked out because they waited for 15-20. We were never given a drink menu, and were brought the wrong wine and beer. At that point, we knew it would take forever to get them fixed, and they'd be wrong, so we didn't say anything. Waiter didn't know if he'd taken our order when he came to check on us. It took 30-35 mins for the food to come, and the hot food was cold. We immediately got boxes and left because we knew it would take forever to get our checks and we were frustrated with our experience.
Were seated, for 15 minutes never got any service. All tables around us were brought water and waited on. Tried to flag down a waiter, we were ignored and then after 20 minutes we left. Staff had friends in restaurant and were socializing rather than serving customers.
This is the second time here. Service was great. Food was good. But my favorite thing of the evening was the CBD cocktails. I tried a Vanilla Berry Cocktail and it was delicious. We didn’t go outside but they have a nice patio to sit outside. Will go back to experience that during the fall.
We had outdoor seating with awesome service.
Thank u for making our happy hour fantastic
I've been to The Ainsworth multiple times, and have always had a great experience. We went for my husband's birthday and I found a hair in my french fries. I'm not the type to cause a scene and our waitress was so wonderful that I didn't want to say anything, but I was very upset and hardly ate any of my meal following my finding it. We may go back some day, but not for a very long time. We were just disappointed as it was supposed to be a nice night of celebration.
It was fine. Great waiter who was trying. Food was average.
Four of us went for brunch on a Saturday morning. We were the only people there for quite awhile. Our waitress was not attentive at all, and the food was just so so. The only positive was that we sat outside on their nice patio.
Food excellent as always. Server seemed annoyed when I corrected happy hour times on Friday
This place could be really awesome- great food. But rap blaring on the speakers and a server who is unable to read a table, be helpful in menu choices, and is basically going through the motions of a server combine to make a disappointing experience. For the price, this place needs to step it up.
Ambience was nice, food was good, but overpriced, waitstaff was despicable, and when we spoke to the manager he was rude, and acted like the, “misunderstanding” wasn’t our fault, we didn’t look at the menu close enough. Silly us for thinking the waiter knew what he was talking about.
We really enjoyed our experience up until about 9:30. Everything was great-service, food and ambiance. But at 9:30 the lights went up and the volume of the TVs were blasting. There was a boxing match on and it was as if they forgot that people were trying to have a nice meal and conversation. Then at about 10:00 they turned on blasting dance music as if it were a club. Um sorry but there were only about 15 people total in the bar. Not to mention there is no dance floor. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish. So I guess I would go early in the evening but don’t expect to stay past 9:00 and have a nice relaxing evening.
