Ainsworth Fi Di

Was nice for a team lunch but music was a bit too loud and rage-y for 1pm on a Monday. Food wasn't bad.
Just incredibly poor service.
Very prompt, courteous service.
It was great as always
This was formerly a great spot, now the service is atrocious, food is not good, and it has lost almost everything. It is unfortunate to see a “go to” restaurant go completely downhill.
Ok good and frendly service
Very noisy and it seemed that they want a bar crowd as opposed to a dinner crowd
It seemed like a hopping place with music and all, but the waitresses were not very attentive. Maybe they were new. It was very loud. They probably should have seated my husband and I in the quieter room or at least asked us.
My guest and I were pleased with our experience. I had to get the hosts attention as she was seated and reading something. Once seated, the atmosphere was welcoming (although a bit cold due to high AC). The server was attentive and professional and had appropriate level of eye contact. The food was good as I have not had a great burger in a while. It was cooked to my liking. My guest had the taco entrée and he mentioned it was appropriately not too spicy. The server did check with the chef regarding items that may contain soy as I have a food allergy. Green tea (hot) would be an ideal option to add to the menu as Early Grey was the only option. The dessert menu would be great to include sorbet especially during the hot summer. Overall, I would visit again for business or pleasure as I work/live in the area.
It’s hard to find a spot in New York that you can actually vibe with others and have a conversation without screaming to the top of your lungs that and then I found the Ainsworth. This place has a sultry vibe that’s great for lunch, drinks after work, and dinner. It’s always a tossup for me between the salmon and the mac & cheese burger – both are amazing!
Food was sooooo gross. The nachos didn’t come with real cheese, they came with cheese sauce.
The guacamole tasted like it came out of can:(
I’m so sorry to hear about your visit with us David. The guacamole is homemade, so I’m disappointed to hear it wasn’t up to par. I am the new General Manager of the store, and would love to touch base to find out how to make your next experience a 100% better. Please don’t hesitate to call me at the store anytime Monday through Friday. I look forward to hearing from you, and hope you will give us a second chance to wow you!
Husband and I went here before checking out a movie one night after work.
For an appetizer, we split the spinach and artichoke dip; it was very good, and I believe they used mozzarella cheese, which I'm not used to eating in spinach and artichoke dip.
For my main course, I had the roasted chicken BLT with chipotle aioli, and french fries. The sandwich comes with red onions, which I had omitted but did add extra chipotle aioli. It was delicious. My husband ate the FiDi burger, which was a patty with onion rings, bacon jam and peppet jack, with french fries. He said it was delicious.
We didn't have dessert.
The bill, for the both of us and including a beer for my husband, came out to $54 and some change which I found very reasonable for the area, and for the amount of food that we had gotten.
However, if I were to come back, it would not be on a Friday. It was happy hour, and the crowd was incredibly loud. It was also very humid out that day, and just as humid inside. Like it took me absolutely forever to cool off. The AC is something they may wanna work on...
Thank you for your feedback Harlee! Glad you enjoyed your time with us. And yes, we have serviced the A/C.... it is hard when its so hot outside to cool, but we have been proactive with making sure they are ready to cool down the guests from that sweltering heat. Next time you’re in, please ask for the General Manager- I’d love to introduce myself personally. Enjoy this extremely hot weekend, and come in to cool off!
It was cool but it wasn’t the best. I been to better bars. The food was just ok. The best part was that they had TVs all over that you can see from every angle
Afternoon Tricia. We do pride ourselves on all the tvs available, especially the ones on ceiling in the back. I’d love to take your experience with us from cool to amazing! Our food is usually on point, so I apologize if we had an off day. Please ask for me next time you’re in; I’m the new General Manager, and I look forward to personally being in touch with all our guests - including those I’ve reached out to online. Let’s make your next time in with us the best ever!
Tables way too close in the front against the wall. Soo loud you can barely hear conversation.
Food was good, but service was not as good as my last visit. Our waitress was not very attentive to our simple requests and it wasn't even crowded. I needed a different salad dressing (first dressing had no flavor) and sugar. She finally brought me the dressing, but I ended up getting sugar from the bus boy! I couldn't drink or eat my salad until the end of my meal. I hope she was just having an off day.
The hostess was really helpful and accommodating to our requests with a big party who was there for a happy hour then drinks. thank you!
Went here for a business lunch with a client.
I made a reservation for 11AM
When we arrived we were informed the kitchen wouldn’t be open until 11:30am and they couldn’t seat us at the time.
Not the best look for a client meeting
Great food, great atmosphere, good service but if you want to have a conversation this isn’t the place to go. It was really really loud!
Overall food and service was good. Fries way too salty! Garlic fries were better. Yummy shortrib sandwich with tasty sauce.
Ehhh average spot a little too aggressive of a spacing out with the dj blasting music
I have visited Ainsworth many times for lunch and the service and the food has been wonderful. However today (Saturday) the service and food were awful. I ordered a salad which was tasteless and had no dressing. The butternut squash was also uncooked in the salad. Another person also ordered a burger which was so over cooked. The waitress did not stop by once to refill our water so I couldn’t even ask her for more dressing for the salad. She was also extremely rude and short with us. Overall terrible experience and would not recommend this place for anything other than lunch on the weekdays.
Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. I love this place!
I had the steak sandwich and my friend had the fish tacos and both were great. This is a reasonably priced, professional place to go for a business lunch when you don't want to break the bank. It hits the sweet spot for price and atmosphere in a neighborhood filled with ultra-expensive, high end restaurants. Highly recommended.
Overall a solid business-lunch choice in this neighborhood of mostly fast-food joints. We both had very good salads, but I have tried the short rib empanadas and the fish tacos before, both very tasty also. I like it better for happy hour, though, as it felt very empty.
Walked in and immediately turned around. Was not worth it. Other locations are much better than this one.
Nobody to greet parties. We had a reservation and needed to go find someone to seat us because we had only an hour to eat. Got seated eventually and food was fine. Poorly managed.
Good but not great in a neighborhood without a lot of mid-priced sit down options. Better before it was an Ainsworth, honestly -- but a solid, if sometimes too loud, choice.
Very slow service . Food was good. If you have plenty of time, I would recommend it
It was a wonderful experience. The host seated us right away and the waiting staff were very friendly. Food was delicious. I had the classic burger and it was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
I loved the atmosphere, the staff was amazing, the food was average, the noise was loud but not crazy. Over all awsome
Great creative versions of comfort foods (I had brick pressed chicken) along with healthy options (friend had large salad). We beat the lunch crowd in by a few minutes but the staff was still attentive and polite.
Had a group of 5 at 12:15 during a weekday. Service was slow - waited over 30 minutes for food to the table which I thought a bit slow for a work lunch crowd.
I was hopeful but disappointed. While the food was good, the service was terrible even though the restaurant was not very busy for lunch on a Wednesday. First the staff seated my colleagues before I arrived, which is fine except when I arrived the staff could not find my reservation, and when he did, he was unaware that 2 of 3 were already seated. He proceeded to seat me at a table in a different part of the restaurant. It was 15 minutes before my colleagues and I realized we had been seated at different tables. Second, when we discovered their error, the staff failedto apologize or explain. Nothing was offered for their error, which wasted significant time for a business day lunch. Third, the orders were taken quickly but after the food was delivered, the wait staff were gone. We had to flag down someone to get our check.
Very similar to 121 Fulton, which was there before Ainsworth. Nice bistro style gastro-pub feel with a very broad menu. We had a late lunch, so it was not too noisy. Chix kale salad was good, grilled cheese sandwich also looked good. Odd that the restaurant has no fresh pepper for the tables (?!).
Service was slow, server was not knowledgeable about menu items, had to request refills several times
our server was horrible; we came on a Sunday for the Eagles game and the food and drink was great! our server was rude and not helpful or attentitive.
Food was above average. Tasty, but not worth the jacked up pricepoint and arrived lukewarm. Our inattentive waitress had a chilly demeanor under a forced smile and rarely checked on us. We waited close to 15 minutes for her to notice us (waving like mad women) to bring our our tab. She seem more interested in chatting with her colleagues at the bar. For a lunchtime business meal the music was entirely too loud. I could barely hear my companion and a nearby table was practically shouting their conversation at each other. The younger set may like this place for the after work happy hour scene. I’m not writing this place off, but it’s not on the top of my list. It’s very pretty inside, I did like the style of it.
Food was very good and all of the staff were very attentive. Definitely a place to go back to.
Great casual restaurant. Good food, good service.
