We typically love ourselves some Michael White. Though his new hotel restaurant Ai Fiori is a sprawling space with more room than they know what to do with. Set inside The Setai, this is a bit of a cookie cutter hotel restaurant - one that isn't bad, but just isn't quite our style.
Ai Fiori is one of the best in NYC. The dishes are creative and tasteful. The wait staff is very knowledgable. Portions are surprisingly large. All the pastas are amazing.
Elegant setting. Superb, friendly service. Creative menu. Excellent experience.
Outstanding all around!!!
Need to improve seating after greeting. Fairly unacceptable to give a warm greeting and then have guests wait 5-8 minutes to be seated while host looks around, especially with reservations and restaurant less then 50% full.
Host should walk around before guests arrive.
Very poor and thus mediocre service rating.
Needs huge improvement.
Great service and courtesy. It was my birthday and the restaurant prepared a nicely-wrapped gift without any request (and a candle-lit cake) other than the birthday information. I also like it that the waiters never come to urge to clear plates as many other restaurants do (maybe not ideal for people who are in a rush though).
Always a treat and never disappointing!
Not cheap, but amazing food and excellent service. Probably one of the best meals we have had (and we know good food)
Mediocre food. Not a great value. A group owned restaurant.
Menu was very conservative and traditional. Ordered fish, was overly salty and dry. Other dishes were good.
Everything from the staff to the ambiance to the food was fantastic!
From the moment you arrive you feel special! Professional, yet warm service. Knowledgeable staff. Beautiful presentation. Wonderful 4 course price fix.
The prix fixe lunch is excellent and well priced. The ambiance is sophisticated yet comfortable.
Top notch throughout!
The service was impeccable. We were able to request a special mean even though there was a prefixed menu for Easter. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.
Brilliant ! Easily a two Michelin restaurant that lets its hair down. Top 5 NYC. Will not be disappointed.
This is a fabulous experience. The lobster and the dessert are so lovely. The service and environment is also great. I will come again.
My friend and I had a late lunch at Ai Fiori and had the dining room mostly to ourselves. The décor is lovely and the service knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. Both my friend and I are foodies and can tell you that the food was outstanding. Definitely recommend it.
Everything about this place is top-notch. Even the bread tastes heavenly. The service is impeccable, the ambiance is a delight, the portions are beautifully reasonable, so you can try many dishes. It's my favorite spot in NYC.
Great place for friends or business meetings. Nicely decorated and a very pleasant atmosphere. Great service!
Pricey, toney. Not a red sauce joint. Nice venue overlooking fifth avenue.
Excellent cuisine in great atmosphere, quiet and tables far apart. Always a good value, which is why we keep coming back!
Read great reviews but unfortunately the food was subpar. My boyfriend’s appetizer of squid and entree of fish was over cooked. I found the menu to be mediocre and nothing special. For the price it was not worth it.
As a Michelin started restaurant, Ai Fiori was below my expectation. Foie Gras too dry and lobster soul quite normal. Entree was good but overall too salty. Glad they give me a birthday cake, that was good.
Great job by all and food was great!
ordered too much food!! four people each had an appetizer, shared two pasta dishes and each had main course with two sides. everything was delicious - just too much food!
Excellent food with excellent service, especially the sommelier who was very helpful in providing wine suggestions for our dinner choices.
We ate here a year ago and it was wonderful. Decided to go back for a birthday while we were in New York. Waiter was distracted and not attentive. Service was extremely slow. 2 of the 4 meals were room temperature not hot. A lot of money and a disappointment for a Michelin star restaurant.
As always, excellent - from the back of the house to the front.
Exceptional Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Langham Place Hotel located on 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
Excellent and attentive service, excellent and great food (I can recommend the duck, if you like duck dishes, and the Semifreddo as a desert) with a very good wine selection. I haves dined several times at this restaurant and service and food are consistently excellent,
I haven’t get point yet. Supposed to get 100points.
My first time. Expecting great, I experienced outstanding. If I were to chose my favorite, it would be the blue crab spaghetti. :WOW!
My first time here and it was amazing. Very attentive wait staff, outstanding food presentation and really tasty food, plus all the delicious bread your heart could desire! This is now one of my top destinations for client lunches.
Fantastic meal all around - the crudo with caviar and ravioli were stars
Though the price was steep, you can’t beat the beautiful comfort of “Ai Fior” dining room. Inventive cuisine and nice service are also great. Portions could be bigger and more vegetable choices added.
Love eating here. It's almost like they know me ;)
Under the definition of fine dining, this place would be listed at or near the top of the definition. The service was impeccable, the food and the presentation were superb, and the wine selection was amazing. Wine selection was also very easy with the help of the Sommelier. We had a mix of seafood and beef/chicken, all were very tasty! Also, they were able to accommodate a gluten-free diner very easily. The only downside is that all of the items, from salads to appetizers to entrées to wine, are very expensive, therefore it is a once in a great while treat to dine here for us.
Amazing birthday celebration for my husband. Our nine-year old boys also attended and were treated with kindness.
I decided to have a simple elegant birthday dinner and that is truly what I got. The food was so delicious
The service and food were both impeccable. The portions were small but perfect.
Just lovely.
I do business lunches all the time in midtown and often pay over $100 for two people including tip. But the price/value relationship was way off here. First, the lunch menu only offered a 2 or 3 course meal for $49 and $68. I asked if we could have a 1 course meal, our server said yes. So we both ordered diver scallops. They were medium size scallops, with 3 on each plate. We also had sparkling water, 1 tea, 1 cappucino. The bill before tip was $96.00 - each scallop plate was $33 dollars, shame on me for not asking the price. So the total with tip was $114 for 6 scallops, bubbly water, a tea and a cappucino. I'll go back to Koi next time. There is just not a proper price/value relationship at this restaurant and there are too many other very good choices right in the area.
