We had a window seat which made it interesting. The food was very good especially the lobster and the Branzino. The wine was very pricey but delicious as were the bar drinks. Overall it was expensive but a really nice evening
Cold, chewy hard bread to start was not up to the expected atandards. Rest of the meal was good.
It was a little more formal than I was expecting, also didnt realise it was inside a hotel. Pasta dishes were $37 and not overly huge, the 4 course tasting seemed popular but too much for us appeared reasonable for $108. Service was good ad attentive but a little stiff/snooty.
Amazing food, spectacular wine and great ambiance!
Service was very slow; we sat a long time before anyone came to take our order. Long time between main course and dessert, no one poured our wine after the first glass. Pasta course was mediocre, nothing else was especially stellar.
Everything that I've read about the dish Astice is true: it is truly divine! What a culinary delight! We will definitely be back.
Very good food , attentive service , friendly sommelier, dessert was a little disappointing more than made up by the other courses
In every way, it was lovely. And in fact it was a moderately priced as well.
The service was nice but food was awful..
I hated the main dish the most
There were many choices in the menu. Every dish that was ordered was excellent. The service was also excellent: properly informed and very good manners. We are glad to have chosen Ai Fiori to host our friends.
All personnel from hostess, to waiter, roll server, drink server, etc. were polite, courteous and friendly.
We would especially like to thank the manager, Christina Mendoza, for her friendliness and for providing
my wife and I a special wedding anniversary dessert treat at the end of our meal. Thanks to all, John Lindsay
For a respected restaurant, food was just O.K. especially for the price. Have eaten in some great restaurants and do not mind paying when it’s good . So many great places in NYC, would not recommend this place.
Incredible meal. Amazing service. Awesome overall. The Michelin star they earned is well-deserved!!!!
This is my first "downgraded" review of one of my favorite restaurants. I have been here frequently since it opened and it never disappointed until this past weekend. I hope it is not a sign of the restaurant losing its shine. My hamachi crudo was dried out and flavorless - it was a disappointing start to dinner when it should have been silky smooth and packed full of delicate flavor. My duck, while it tasted good and was cooked perfectly, was tough and and hard to even chew. Also, normally you receive a single breast worth of sliced meat. On this visit I had 2 slices. Two. Also had the wine pairings and the pours were scant at best and no refill like I have always received. Service was efficient with water and bread but non-existent in between and no-where to be found at the end of the meal. While tables around us all received the post desert treats that always come out from the kitchen, we were not served any. Small over site, but lack of attention to details is not ok at this level. I'll give this some time before we come back. Michael White should come back and review what the kitchen is putting out. Too many other choices.
The tasting menu was a "hit or miss" some under seasoned some over seasoned. Not exceptional nor memorable. I judge restaurants by how impressed I am, NOT based on this experience. I wanted to be wowed ans was disappointed.
Fabulous dishes, outstanding texture and flavors and impeccable presentation.
Quality of the food was good but nothing outstanding as I was expecting. It can improve.
Loved it! Top notch wine list and every course was excellent.
I do not know why the restaurant is popular in NY.
Taste is soso
Service is not good
A lovely dining experience, good food, good service, beautiful ambience.
We went for restaurant week lunch, waitress did not check with us except taking the order. My husband's main course risotto was terrible, not even as good as his own cooking....we were really disappointed with it. Dessert is also soso, no the one star level in my option.
Cody was awesome!
We went there for my wife's birthday. While the ambience and service was great - as it should be - the food was a complete disappointment.
My rating is keeping in mind that this is a Michelin star restaurant and the food is expected to be spectacular. We went there for NY restaurant week - The steak was dry and tough although we requested medium-rare. The gezpacho was nothing spectacular - I have had much better in small shops in spain (and that's the flavor I was expecting). We ordered two other dishes that were not all that bad. Overall 3/10
Our waiter made our experience so much more enjoyable! He was a jem! The overall ambience of the restaurant is divine. Definitely a must when you’re in Manhattan!
My lunch at Ai Fiori was memorable.
I would definitely recommend it!!
Excellent as always. We received a complimentary appetizer as a result of out regular dining at sister restaurants. Amazingly thoughtful and to top it off, also careful to remember my dairy allergy. Combining top quality and delicious food with recognition as a loyal customer made for a fantastic visit!!!!!!
This is one of my go to restaurants in nyc. I love their food selection, but I always think their service let me down. This is the reason why I always think twice before making a reservation
The food was very good but the portions were extremely small, especially for the price. Our waiter was initially attentive but then disappeared for long periods of time and got into a subtle power struggle with another waiter who stepped in to cover. We had to wait an extended period of time to pay. And even though they were listed on OpenTable as having a dinner restaurant week prix fixe menu, they did not.
Gracious service and delicious dishes!
Great as usual. Very accommodating with food restrictions.
AI FIORE ALWAYS PRESENTS AN EXCELLENT ATMOSPHERE TO CONDUCT BUSINESS OR CHAT.
You can not really go wrong with Ai Fiori, their summer restaurant week menu is awesome. Great as usual!
The food wasn’t as good as when they first opened but overall it is still a good restaurant.
Food was incredible
Service staff could loosen up more but I understand the pressure and professionalism but I’d be nice to be more comfortable not as stuffy, maybe some ppl like that I guess
Terrible place, service abysmal. Told them beforehand that my partner was vegetarian but offered a meat menu and told only option was they would remove the sausage from the risotto. The risotto was bad, under cooked and under seasoned- had two mouthfuls paid and left very disappointing!!!
Another overrated restaurant, food was so so
Can’t believe this restaurant got a Michelin star . Of course in my opinion, I requested for a small birthday cake , was totally ignored.
Always a pleasure to eat here. Everything is wonderful.
Food and wine was great. Sommelier was awesome and we learned a lot from her. If it hadn’t been for one person waiting on us that clearly was struggling to be nice I would have given it a higher review. The food and wine was great and most of the service was great. With so many restaurants in the city, not sure it’s worth us going back.
Very impressed with the service, the food, and the wine pairing for restaurant week.
I had three course lunch over there during New York Restaurant week, great deal, friendly staff, nice and big open space, every dish tastes great, just the food portion is small and feel not enough.
