Ai Fiori is an exceptional contemporary Italian restaurant in Manhattan. I have dined there repeatedly and was never disappointed. The service is excellent, dishes exceptionally tasty and well prepared and it has a great wine selection.
The tables for two persons are very close to each other - that may be a fact to consider if you plan to have a private conversation and to request a different seating.

A lot of effort was put into the serious atmosphere of this hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, the meal was uneven, and certainly not up to the level of a 1-star Michelin restaurant in Europe. The torchon of foie gras was not smooth, lacked any flavor, and was served with an odd crumble of oatmeal and nuts that would not meld with the foie;. Pasta dish was blah. THe duck, however, was superb - meaty and full of flavor. Wine list was meant to impress, with page after page of wines in the 3- or 4-digit range; clearly not in keeping with the level of the food. The place was popular, though, with lots of tourists.

Phenomenal meal from appetizer to dessert. The best bread ever, pasta is unbelievable, 5 star service made for a memorable 1st evening in NYC. We were waited on by no less than 5 people - each one professional & personable. Great meal & evening. We will definitely be back!

What a treat this restaurant was. We had the four-course meal and everything was thoughtfully prepared. Imaginative and delicious dishes. It was my mother's birthday and they made it special with their extras. Service was topnotch, could not have asked for better attention. Sommelier was knowledgeable and responsive. Wow!

This is a very beautiful restaurant, with great food and great service. The prices are typical of New York and the only reason I didn’t give it five stars throughout is that there’s a lot of competition at this level.

The wine list is lovely, and they have a long list of really great wines by the glass (more than I have seen elsewhere) with different size pours. If you go, you will not be disappointed!

These guys stretched the standard implied by a Michelin star. Perhaps the staff was off their game. Pastas were excellent, but meat & risotto over cooked. Well executed cocktail.
Service was 'odd' with the head waiter shouting at servers - who seemed uncertain & timid in their execution.

Overall experience was very good. Service was a little slow but I attribute that to the date which was New Years day night.

Although I am a huge fan of Ai Fiori, I was extremely disappointed in the overall service and experience. As Ai Fiori has earned a Michelin Star, I would expect that their goal for every guest is to continue to strive to exceed expectations. We spent a fortune and expected a memorable experience. But we were left feeling very disappointed in Service. None of our waiters or the two sommeliers introduced themselves. There was very little eye contact from the sommeliers as well. We purchased the sommelier wine tasting too, so we would have hoped this would be taken into consideration. We were just another table. That is not how paying customers should be treated. I would love to talk to Ai Fiori directly about our exerpeince and would welcome a phone call. It is important for restaurants to hear both positive and negative feedback. We believe that the team has potential and understand that it was New Years Eve. But for a Michelin Star restaurant, there are no excuses.

The Ai Fiori is the best Italian restaurant. Never had such a perfect visit and excellent Italian food before, especially the pasta would be worth coming to Langham Place Fifth Avenue. Hope to come back soon!

We were in Al Fiori for their New Years Eve seating. For a restaurant charging $250 prix fixe, it was a disappointment. There was no one to welcome you or greet you when you leave. The poor service stands out when your located in Langham wherein you are greeted with great enthusiasm by the doorman. The seating was so tight and you can literally rub elbows with the guest next to you. I looked around and there was ample space elsewhere in the restaurant. So unfortunate for a restaurant that has Michelin stars. The food overall was good but the Chef uses too much truffle in everything. I think there are better options out there especially in Manhattan.

We came for my husband's birthday. Food was spectacular, definitely surprised to the upside. The 4 course menu was more than enough. We would come back for sure. Our server was also nice enough to recommend the popular dishes, very satisfied with the overall experience.

I came back to Ai Fiori after just having dinner here a month ago. I came back for lunch specifically for one dish - the blue crab spaghetti. Unfortunately, the lightning did not strike twice. The spiciness which I loved the first time is gone and it was very oily. We were thinking the dinner crew is probably not the same as the lunch crew. Disappointing. The service is still good though.

It was my first time at Ai Fiore and the experience was beyond my expectations. I ordered a la carte; the oysters were perfect and my lobster dinner was just superb. I had dietary restrictions and the maitre’d made recommendations and had the chef make adjustments to my dish. My husband opted for the prix fixe menu; he loved the gambero blu crudo, Trofie Nero pasta (chef White is known as a pasta master), and the tagliata had him smacking his lips. Hands down I think the prix fixe menu is one of the best values in town! To top the night, we shared ai fiore’s version of the tiramisu. Wow!

We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on a frosty night in the city, post Christmas. Needless to say the traffic was a nightmare-our party was coming from different areas which made carpooling impractical. We blew past our 6:30 reservation, and the last stragglers didn't get seated until 8. Not a problem as the staff did their best to accommodate us and make us feel unrushed. Our dinners were exceptional, as was our server. We spent the evening enjoying the event and the company, with the very able assistance of the staff. This was our second visit to Ai Fiori and surely will not be our last.

Always had an excellent experience at AI Fiori, food, service, ambience etc and was just telling friends how it’s one of the best in NY. Made a Christmas dinner reservation and came away very disappointed. Service was spotty - no one asked about a drink wanted straight to go to the food order. The food was quite surprisingly mixed - Risotto was outstanding, the main strip steak was awful, chewy and served lukewarm to cold. The dessert had gelato in a glass and two sauces on the side, waiter dropped it on the table and walked away, the glass had fingerprints on it and the sauce decanter had fingerprints and the sauce dripping on the side - very unappetizing, the dessert itself was mediocre. Overall a disappointing dinner in a usually great restaurant.

Ai Fiori hits it out of the park every time. Dover sole for two with two sublime sauces, a veal chop with chops and starters of foie gras, bay scallops and lobster were so good conversation came to a halt. Service was perfect - attentive but not overbearing. The wine list offered great selections to pair with the dinners. Run, do not walk to this restaurant for a most memorable meal.

Don’t get me wrong. The food was okay. And the server was nice.
The reception was REALLY rude. After our dinner, we got our coat back and left. Then after we walked out, we realized the person at the reception forgot our checked bags. When we went back and asked her about it, she wasn’t apologetic at all. She unwillingly took us to the coat check room, as if we were wasting our time and asked what our checked number was. We couldn’t remember the number and she was like “ how am I gonna get u the bag if you don’t remember the number?” But wasn’t her fault when she forgot to return our bags when we handed her our number? Her attitude was really bad. That was not supposed to be the service I got at a Michelin guide restaurant. Disappointed.

We had one of our best meals ever, and an even better Dining experience, while celebrating my mother's 80th Birthday here. Our sons, 3 young men, first discovering fine dining, were not only treated to fantastic food, but to the kind of casual, elegant and cordial treatment that only comes from the very best establishment. Edgardo, our Captain, and Colin, the wine Director, made for a spectacular evening. As most people are all about the food, between us we tried every Pasta (all exceptional), the Lobster, Duck, Lamb, Steak, and Halibut as the main Entrees, and the Butternut squash soup, Scallops, and the salad to start. Everything was cooked to perfection. My only real question about this Restaurant is why only 1 star? Not to take away from the other places we have visited, but Ai Fiori stood out.

Overall Rating: 4/5

Food: Took their prie fixe menu. All the dishes I ate were spectacular.

Antipasto - Torchon (foie gras)
Pasta - Trofie Nero
Main Dish - Vitello (veal)
Dessert - Coconut Sorbet

Service: Our server was fantastic. Thoroughly explained the menu and generously helped us choose our courses. Tables were quickly cleaned and readied for the next course.

Ambiance: Low-Medium Noise. Some amount of small chatter, a few louder laughs here and there but nothing distracting or annoying.

I would definitely go back to try their Chef’s Tasting Menu!

We special ordered a cake and it was by far the best cake I've tasted. Great experience and I'd highly recommend this resteraunt.
