Food and service were very good. Decent noise level. Nice buzz. I would recommend this place to anyone.
A lot of effort was put into the serious atmosphere of this hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, the meal was uneven, and certainly not up to the level of a 1-star Michelin restaurant in Europe. The torchon of foie gras was not smooth, lacked any flavor, and was served with an odd crumble of oatmeal and nuts that would not meld with the foie;. Pasta dish was blah. THe duck, however, was superb - meaty and full of flavor. Wine list was meant to impress, with page after page of wines in the 3- or 4-digit range; clearly not in keeping with the level of the food. The place was popular, though, with lots of tourists.
Phenomenal meal from appetizer to dessert. The best bread ever, pasta is unbelievable, 5 star service made for a memorable 1st evening in NYC. We were waited on by no less than 5 people - each one professional & personable. Great meal & evening. We will definitely be back!
This is a very beautiful restaurant, with great food and great service. The prices are typical of New York and the only reason I didn’t give it five stars throughout is that there’s a lot of competition at this level.
The wine list is lovely, and they have a long list of really great wines by the glass (more than I have seen elsewhere) with different size pours. If you go, you will not be disappointed!
These guys stretched the standard implied by a Michelin star. Perhaps the staff was off their game. Pastas were excellent, but meat & risotto over cooked. Well executed cocktail.
Service was 'odd' with the head waiter shouting at servers - who seemed uncertain & timid in their execution.
Delicious lunch. Food fantastic, decor beautiful, service great.
Overall experience was very good. Service was a little slow but I attribute that to the date which was New Years day night.
Although I am a huge fan of Ai Fiori, I was extremely disappointed in the overall service and experience. As Ai Fiori has earned a Michelin Star, I would expect that their goal for every guest is to continue to strive to exceed expectations. We spent a fortune and expected a memorable experience. But we were left feeling very disappointed in Service. None of our waiters or the two sommeliers introduced themselves. There was very little eye contact from the sommeliers as well. We purchased the sommelier wine tasting too, so we would have hoped this would be taken into consideration. We were just another table. That is not how paying customers should be treated. I would love to talk to Ai Fiori directly about our exerpeince and would welcome a phone call. It is important for restaurants to hear both positive and negative feedback. We believe that the team has potential and understand that it was New Years Eve. But for a Michelin Star restaurant, there are no excuses.
The Ai Fiori is the best Italian restaurant. Never had such a perfect visit and excellent Italian food before, especially the pasta would be worth coming to Langham Place Fifth Avenue. Hope to come back soon!
We were in Al Fiori for their New Years Eve seating. For a restaurant charging $250 prix fixe, it was a disappointment. There was no one to welcome you or greet you when you leave. The poor service stands out when your located in Langham wherein you are greeted with great enthusiasm by the doorman. The seating was so tight and you can literally rub elbows with the guest next to you. I looked around and there was ample space elsewhere in the restaurant. So unfortunate for a restaurant that has Michelin stars. The food overall was good but the Chef uses too much truffle in everything. I think there are better options out there especially in Manhattan.
