Definitely not a Michelin restaurant.
Food is OK, just OK.
To give a small example :
Bread was a little stall (It's an Italian Michelin Restaurant in 5th Av.)
While the food was well prepared and excellent, it would be nice to have more selection
Perfect in every way!!! Start to finish!! Staff, food, atmosphere, value. Spaghetti with blue crab. Could be the best pasta ever.
Amazing Elegant wonderful food.
Great overall experience.
Wonderful meal.....excellent service. Very comfortable ambiance.
Incredible food & wine...love this place! Have the chef's tasting menu
Ai Fiori is one of the best restaurants in NYC.
Parents were visiting from CA
Way way overpriced. Used to be much more reasonable but would not recommend for the price.
Top notch service and food
We went to Ai Fiori several years ago and enjoyed it a lot so we decided to go back for Valentine's Day dinner this year. Unfortunately this time we found the experience to be highly overpriced and disappointing.
When I pay $220 per person for a tasting menu I expect something special. The food was mediocre as was the service. The final bill was over $600 with tip and we have had many better dining experiences for under $100, both in terms of food and service quality.
Wonderful cuisine and outstanding service. Valentines menu was amazing! The price was ridiculously expensive. This is what lowers the rating
I'm not really into bougie places but this place was comfortable-bougie level for Me. Food was amazing and staffs are as well. It was my 2nd visitation and I will come back again!
nice experience!
Not as good as the first time we were there about a month ago, when it was outstanding.
We were there for Restaurant Week lunch. The butternut squash was excellent served in warmed bowls. Two of us had the salmon, also excellent. One had the beef strip loin. This was right in being medium rare but was a bit tough. The chocolate mousse and torte desserts were delicious and worth the extra $6. Service had been excellent throughout until the very end when we had to ask for our coffee/tea. Noise level very moderate as tables are not crowded together. Very enjoyable; one of our best selections for RW.
This was a restaurant week price fixed lunch. Yes portions are on the meager side, but the elegance and taste perfection balance it out. A delicious meal.
really good food. fantastic service. lovely rose wine
A perfect lunch. Excellent food and service. The steak tartare was hand chopped and the best I ever ate. Our wines by the glass were excellent and well chosen. This is a comfortable restaurant and quite elegant without being fussy.
It was my third visits during restaurant week. Nothing surprising but they keep the quality of foods and services. I can invite fiends anytime to here.
Not sure because of the restaurant week or just bad choice, the beef was tasteless and so chewy. My friend and I had the same and we both didn’t enjoy at all which is disappointing because I was telling my friend how great this restaurant was... I had much better food before but I couldn’t prove it. But the service and ambiance are always good. Wish they served better food.
Would recommend only if you are in the area or staying at the hotel.
For many years, it was our favorite restaurant. This visit not so much.
When we asked for another table, they were nice enough to accommodate us and change the table.
Think maybe Michael White needs to spend more time at Ai Fiori and rethink the menu.
(We have been Michael White groupies since Osteria Fiama)
Need more than one salad to choose from. Too much raw fish.
Lamb was excellent, as was the halibut; but nothing really was off the charts as in the past.
Offered us a free dessert, when we ordered one dessert, they brought us an additional one.
I’d say the service was the biggest downfall here. The waiter never really introduced himself or did a good job welcoming us. Before dinner Drinks came late, same time as the first course and first wine pairing course. We had the 7 course tasting menu. It was always back waiters who brought courses, and the last one to leave the table, looked around and then reluctantly told what we were about to eat. Sommelier was great. Back waiter Gabriel was excellent. Richard our waiter, not so much. For the price, $1,200 for 4 people, I expect better service.
Fantastic! The food was beautifully delicious and the staff was outstanding and helpful. Highly recommend the gnocchi and the seared scallops. The sommelier was on point! Overall it was the best dining experience I've had in many years.
The restaurant is elegant but comfortable. The food is worth the expense.
Food is good, but service is disappointing for the price of the meal. Servers won't come to the table unless called. Extremely slow.
Fantastic food, you have about 30 diff servers and it’s super fancy. Good service overall
Great plating for all. Delicious. Beef quality of main for restaurant week could have better.
The food and service is exceptional but a bit expensive even for NY.
The one of my favor place to go!
Food took longer than usual to arrive. Overall, $26 for restaurant week was a great deal
excellent food, presentation and service.
Beautiful dining room and spacious tables
A little disappointed by the New York restaurant week menu. The food is okay.
Strongly Not Recommended!
This Michelin 1 star restaurant has exaggerated reputation. Food is fresh but nothing special.
Service is horrible. My waiter rushed to take back the my Credit Card recipe and checked how much tip he got while I was still not ready to leave.
Excellent experience at A Fiore, excellent staff deliscious food. Feels like home. A very upscale and exclusive home.
The restaurant was very busy during the NYC restaurant week. I felt the food was not the standard of Michelin restaurant. The mushrooms on my Tagliata were completely burnt and inedible. It was a weekday lunch and all servers were very busy, so I didn’t ask to return it. Otherwise, the service and ambiance were good!!
Pasta way too salty and disappointing
While the restaurant was lovely and the service outstanding the food was just ok. Very disappointed. I understand it was restaurant week and I did choose that menu and paid an additional upcharge of $9 for the risotto and it was just ok. I have had far better risotto elsewhere. I was really looking forward to the lunch and was disappointed.
We went during restaurant week, three of us got the risotto with truffles, which was an extra $9. It was very disappointing to be charged extra and get ZERO flavor of truffles in our food. Not worth it. The other dishes were just ok and the ambience is very dated.
One of the best restaurants in New York City. Incredible food, elegance, and the best service all in one.
Tremendous food and service - I felt very pampered and the entire staff was gracious and generous! Loud shout-out to Michael Angelo S! Grazie mille ❤️
