Nice quiet table in corner. Sat for several hours. We’re not at all rushed.
Just amazing in every way.
We celebrated my daughter's 9th birthday and the staff was very thoughtful in making the occasion special for her. Pasta dishes were exceptional and recommended wine pairings made them even better. Based on overall dining experience, this is probably one of my favorite places in NYC (I even prefer it over Marea).
This is the fourth or fifth time we have been at the restaurant in the last 7-8 years, and Ai Fiori remains an overall very solid restaurant with excellent Italian or Italian-inspired cuisine and all-around service. While their Michelin star is in our view justified, the food offered little surprises or elicited any wow-responses from us - and that may simply be a function of us having dined there relatively regularly, as indicated above. Although the restaurant was not full at all that evening (perhaps at about 60% capacity in their main seating areas), we had to request a nicer table than we were offered initially, and also felt relatively rushed throughout the first half of our dinner. Thus, after about 45 minutes were already halfway through our four course fixed price dinner, and anticipating the arrival of the main course. A more modest pace would have been more appropriate. On the other hand, we also had at one point to request a refill of our wine glasses that had run low/empty. We appreciated the attention to the birthday occasion that this dinner marked, but will likely take a longer hiatus from returning to the restaurant.
I was extremely disappointed in the food and the service on this night. It was so unusual for a restaurant that I have always enjoyed so much. The waiter was nonexistent the entire evening. We waited an hour to order. Every course took forever. When the main entree arrived at our stable (all 4 of us ordered the Dover Sole) it was COLD. The staff removed the cold fish and 15 minutes later brought the same entree, the quality of which was poor. One entree was uneatable. It should have never been brought to the table. I am hoping it was just a bad night for the entire staff.
Lovely evening, special that
No’s to our excellent server Mickey.
Accelerant for Food and service!!
The food was delicious, however, it was served cold. For this type of restaurant, it should be more consistent. Also, the serving sizes were closer to tasting sizes. The service was excellent but the restaurant was not full and so we expected a bit more for this price.
Was not what we expected. Service was not good, inattentive, food simple for the purpose.
Amazing dining experience! Service and food top notch. The pre-fix menu is good bank for your buck.
Wonderful breakfast for Christmas morning! Thank you Deb and team for making the service exceptional!
Everything a one michelin restaurant should be.
Michael White's restaurant has always been and continues to be exceptional. The four course meal is quite a good value with one appetizer, one pasta, an entree and dessert for around $125 each. The appetizers and pastas are particularly exceptional. The wine list is extensive and the selections for wine by the glass is comprehensive. The sommeliers are always knowledgeable and friendly, exhibiting a passion for their profession. All staff is very friendly.
The room is large and well appointed. Noise level is low so conversations can be had. No screaming required.
This is New York elegance and sophistication.
Amazing came out not hungry although they have tiny portions and so happy I went.
Best business lunch meal. Was very well paced. Not hard to hear others. Of course food top rate.
Excellent as always. I love eating here.
Service could be better
One of my favorite places to dine in the city! I have been coming for years and have never had a bad experience.
Chef Michael White does it again! There is a reason why he is one of the best chefs in the country. Everything was top quality and absolutely delicious.
La tartare di ricciola PUZZAVA!
Gli spaghetti coi gamberi erano in realtà dei noodles piccantissimi con pomodoro e formaggio!
La stella Michelin...solo uno specchietto per le allodole!🤮
Incredible food and wine! And amazing service!
Lovely experience. The atmosphere, the food, the wine, and especially the staff were all impeccable.
Food and physical restaurant were fantastic. Service was good when around, but the staff seemed to disappear for periods of time. The $112 price fix dinner is a good value for New York. We got more food than we could eat and we have healthy appetites.
A marvelous pre theater meal at Ai Fiori! We should have made reservation 30 minutes prior, but the servers were amazing and served a remarkable meal in 90 minutes. The restaurant was packed, but we never felt rushed (unlike other pre theater restaurants). Truly a wonderful NY dining experience. Thank you!
Very good quality and elegant place
Perfect in all respects
From the bartender to the receptionist to the waiter and mai tried”....they all did an excellent job.
The restaurant was well staffed and not a time went by that we were not accommodated.
Your chef made an outstanding menu for Thanksgiving. Thanks to all.
When we are in the city our definite destination will be Ai Fiori....
Rocco & Barbara Arbitrio
Delightful dinner. Great service and delicious food. Michael White has the touch and every aspect was delicious.
Their pastas are very good but our appetiser (lobster terrine) and main dishes (venison and striploin) are not very satisfactory. Desserts (apple pecan cake and ciccolato) are good too.
I have always been a meat lover. But I tried their vegetarian menu, it was fantastic.
Excellent food, outstanding ambience and great service
Michelangelo is superb
Food was not as expected. For the price, everything should have been sensational. Salad lettuce bitter, dressing bland. Octopus average. Pasta dish average. Lamb sausage too spicy.
Ai Fiori is our go to for a special occasion! It is pure perfection! The food is amazing, the service is impeccable and the ambiance is second to none!
I am an owner of an accredited culinary institute. I am very familiar with what fine dining should be. I was extremely disappointed in my experience at Ai Fiori. The service was nice but aside from the first course the food was not what I would expect from a starred Michelin restaurant. The food was not served hot. Dishes were not pre warmed. Our pasta course was returned because it was cold. Venison is a favorite of mine and I have eaten it in both American and European restaurants. I found this iteration to be below my expectation. The texture was mealy. The whipped sweet potato was drowned in kale. The dessert was a deconstructed “torta di mele”. The “torta” was a dense and tasteless wedge of nuts. The “mele” was unrecognizable as apple in looks, taste or texture. It seemed to have been poached with an indescribable texture, not crisp not crunchy. Just odd. The prices were outrageous in relation to the quality.
Not great at all, was expecting much better !
I couldn't bear the racially insensitive condescending comments from the waiters/staff, so I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
It is a hidden gem, nice seating, food is excellent, so the service, make you feel welcomed, I will definitely recommend to everyone who wants to enjoy fine dining.
Staff is very friendly and helpful
Food was great and as usual there were new dishes to choose from if you have any special request they’ll do their best to make it happened
