Ai Fiori Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely fantastic cocktails! A good number of delicious-sounding choices on the prix fixe menu. Food was upscale, though each dish usually had a singular flavor with vegetables on the side. This is opposed to perhaps more inventive dishes where each component provides unique and complimentary flavors. Semifreddo for dessert was very special and delicious!
Overall the meal was very good. Not outstanding like you expect from a Michelin star restaurant but overall consistent. The tagliatelle carbonara was the best dish of the table, my husband ordered the truffle risotto and it was too rich for my taste. Deserts were average and nothing special. Service is excellent and the location is very elegant.
We have delivered almost 700 reviews on OpenTable after using this service consistently for almost three years. We go out to dinner almost every night of the week. We cannot believe this restaurant has earned a Michelin Star. One of the most disappointing experiences ever at this price point. The ambiance is underwhelming. The food is a huge disappointment. There are MANY exceptional spots at $250 for two. There are other one star Michelin rates spots in Midtown. The staff is friendly and they try hard but there is not the polish nor pedigree. Very disappointing to say the least. No flavor in the pasta dishes. The lobster bisque starter was like soup with no flavor. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
It was my first time I had lunch at Ai Fiori, with a friend, and it was a pleasant experience. The fellow diners were friendly and we chatted briefly. Service was swift and polite during a very busy time. I will come back and try the restaurant when it is not Restaurant Weeks. I started with a rosy colored health drink of beets and many different fruits; it was refreshing. My Butternut Squash Soup was velvety and delicious; the salmon was fine, but not outstanding. The lunch was completed with with Chocolate Opera Cake. Although the cake was satisfactory, it struck me as slightly dry and it did not live up to the description of the cake in several articles on the Internet.
Came here for Restaurant Week. They had a great $29 menu for lunch time. Was a nice ambiance and we were seated promptly. The value was great for restaurant week, but will see if I decide to come back during regular day prices!
Had a pasta carbonara that was pretty good but nothing spectacular, but my gf’s salmon was amazing. Definitely get that meal if you can
The service was good, except they wouldn't let usa seat until everybody arrives.
The food was awful. I had the pasta that was swimming in butter, my friend had the risotto that was also not good.
Desserts were really cheep. Basic cake you can find for a dollar in every store.
The food was fabulous, the setting beautiful. We were surprised that the service was as indifferent as it was. One drink order wasn't appropriately attended to, a soup spoon was missing, there didn't seem to be one person assigned to our table. And our table was so close to a curtained-off private dining area that we could easily hear the festivity, although we couldn't see the group.
Come here a few hours ago for the restaurant week. Love the soup, Zuppa de Zucca. Many layers of flavors!! Not a big fan of Insalata(although the salad is fresh)，Cioccolato(it is nice to add cinnamon) and Tagliatsa(really hard to cut the meat...the sauce is nice though). Tagliatelle is really good! Budino al limone is a nice dessert. The waiter seems forget to refill the bread to our plate but they do so for our right table...People are nice here I need to mention. Also I like the environment. Another down side: the interval between dishes is a bit too long...we even start to play online games...
Wow! The sleeper of Restaurant Week! I chose this restaurant because I had a shift at a location nearby. I thought stopping for lunch and then going to work would be a treat, and this was the only menu that intrigued me in the area. WELL! The restaurant met and exceeded every expectation that I had. The food was well executed, beautifully presented, and perfectly delicious. Further, to show that our business was valued, we were presented with a card for a free drink/dessert upon our return. I will be back.
The food is truly outstanding in terms of both creativity taste and presentation. There was a total of 5 people in our party and each of us chose from the a la carte menu. We then each tasted a little of each other’s dishes, with me being the foodie at the table trying a taste of each course. It is rare that all of us agree on food but on this particular occasion we did in a word outstanding! The only negative comment I have is atit turned out almost not worth mentioning. I was the last to arrive as I was about 10 mins later. I could see from the look on several of my guests faces they seemed a little upset. In short the host who brings over the menus and takes the initial aperitif orders had been rude. Fortunately I quickly calmed over the manager who wisely offered to take care of us and took down our order and any other requests. Therefore we all had a fantastic memorable culinary experience which could have easily been derailed had the manager not saved the day. I am a very particular person and can tell you there are very few restaurants that can match this standard in terms of true Michelin Star food.
We recieved fantastic service and the food was top notch as you'd expect from here. We did the 7 course winter menu with the basic wine pairing. The staff was attentive, helpful and engaging. They did not rush us our and we enjoyed a very lovely evening. If you are wondering about the 4 VS a 5 on value? Thats simply my brain not comprehending how a meal for two is $700. Just a Jersey bumkin I guess.
Magical evening! The staff was very friendly and we felt extremely taken care of, without hovering over us and disrupting dinner and conversation. All questions were answered and food was delicious and exceeded expectations! Bar provides very helpful suggestions about the stock in house and we were able to try drinks that we would not have ordered without their help. Highly recommend to have an evening here!
We went there this noon for restaurant week menu. First of all, when I called yesterday to check if I can change my 4ppl reservation for 6ppl, they said no accommodation for 6ppl at this time. So my other two colleagues didn't go. But today there is an empty table right next to ours no ppl come until we finished our lunch at 2pm. And for the lunch itself, no bread was served until I asked what's the butter for. After the appetizer, waited 20mins to get the entree and the truffle risotto is very salty and the dessert is toooo sweet. Won't come back.
