Agrodolce Ratings and Reviews
Took my wife and two adult kids there for my daughter's birthday. She has allergies to onions and the server was able to advise as to which dishes could be prepared without onions and which already had onions cooked in. Server was very helpful. Food was delicious.
We went to Agradolce as it was listed as one of the top 10 places to eat in Seattle for tourists! We are not tourists, but loved it. It was also Restaurant week, so, a good time to get a 'taste'. . . we enjoyed everything about it! Excellent service, comfortable and nice surroundings and delicious food and drink.
Service was painfully slow. Arrived 7:15pm and left at 9:15pm. We took dessert to go as we had other plans and didn't expect dinner to take 2 hours. The service was painfully slow. I would recommend it as the food is good, but beware that you may spend 2 hours there for apps and dinner.
We were looking for a good restaurant in a fun area, for lunch. Agrodolce in the Fremont district was a VERY pleasant find. The menu items were prepared in a very creative fashion and what are normally standard dishes, were turned into fabulous flavor creations. EVERYTHING we ordered, from the house salad to the seasonal squash soup, to the two pasta dishes, to the chocolate gelato, to the Cafe Vita coffee was delicious and memorable. The bright comfortable room was not as full as you would think, given the quality of the food, the service and the location. We were surprised that more people we not taking advantage of this outstanding restaurant. We will definitely be back. Do yourself and your friends a favor and try this restaurant!
Great appetizers!!! We ordered the steamed clams, eggplant bruschettas and carmelized broccoli ....they were ALL delicious!!! However the clams linguine, rigatoni and sausage pasta were plain and hard...not as tasty (very disappointed)...considered the meals were not cheap.
My husband and I had dinner there last Saturday evening. The food was truly excellent, the service not so much. It took at least 15 minutes from drink order to receiving drinks and our empty plates sat on the table for quite a while after we finished eating. We did gave up on ordering dessert as we had theater tickets and were afraid with the speed of service we would not make it.
We will probably return at least one more time to see if the service problems were an aberration and the food as good as we remember.
Seems like this place needs a little love. It's such a great location and cool building but the restaurant seems stale. Atmosphere is so important and this place definitely needs a pick me up. The food was pretty good although the grilled Caesar salad was definitely not grilled. I've had good dining experiences at Tilth but I won't be going back to Agrodolce.
The food is amazing! We like to do their "Family Style" meal. It is always different and surprising as it is chef's choice and may change throughout the evening...makes it fun. Plus, I don't have to choose when everything on the regular menu sounds so good. I recommend for any occasion. Son had his reception dinner here and Everyone raved about the meal.
The dinner started with an eggplant carpaccio special appetizer that was simple and delicious. I have to admit, the appetizers and pasta plates are so good, it is hard to save room for the second plate. Always a great dining experience with a great ambience and friendly waiters.
I took seven 13-year old girls here for my daughter's birthday and the service was fantastic. They were so nice to us (they were really well behaved kids). The food was fresh, delicious and yummy! I'll definitely go back for a date night or with out of town guests!
The handmade pasta made this meal unforgettable! There was care placed into every part of the dining experience, and our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. The dining room was not too loud and had a wonderful ambiance. Will definitely be coming back for special occasions!
Arrived at 5:15 for dinner on a Wednesday. There were only a couple other diners at the time so the place was nearly empty. Waiters were friendly enough and professional. Really enjoyed the food, especially appetizers and mains.
A couple things we felt could use improvement: 1) There was no bread or anything to eat while we waited for our appetizers, which was maybe 15 minutes. 2) The desserts were so-so. Panna cotta was much too firm. Chocolate s'more gelato wasn't rich enough.
I have avoided this restaurant for about a year because I had a negative experience and felt the food had gone downhill. Surprise, the food is excellent, best lunch ever in Seattle. I am gluten free and there are numerous options on the menu all clearly marked. The grass fed lamburger was superb! And the polenta fries were so delicious I wish I had some now. I have always liked the space and the low noise. There were few people there and now I am worried they will close for lunch. Don't miss this place, it is worthy of a crowd.
I have been to Agrodolce a number of times, and every time I bring someone new to introduce them to the space. This time it was my brother and his fiancee. As always the service was attentive to the table and needs of my guests, while never being intrusive or over bearing. The food was impeccable, and flavors were on point. My brother - who i will mention can at times be very critical during his dining experience, said that he loved the food, service and subtle ambiance of the restaurant. We will be back again. A big thank you to the chefs in the B.O.H. - the care and attention you all put into all the dishes that leave your line are truly appreciated! Thank you!
