Mimosa carafes for brunch.... nuff said. Except, there is more! The decore is so cute and comfortable, great spot to get together with friends. The food was amazing, had the focaccia sticks, polenta Benedict, hand made pasta and an amazing egg white omelette. Can’t wait to see what the new chef does with the menu in the future!

Agrodolce is one of my favorite organic restaurants. Food is wonderful and the ambiance is very nice too. It's a bit noisy when its full but no more than most restaurants. Recommend the sauteed octopus for sure!

The food was amazing. Our server was amazing, even while acting as the only server for an eventual 6 tables and playing bartender. The food was okay, variety was good. Focaccia is NEXT LEVEL. pasta, even for homemade, but as too al dente. My first two clams were just sand which was so unfortunate (I prefer to slurp rather than fork it, and wasn’t paying close enough attention) Restaurant layout is odd. Ambiance is interesting.

My past experiences here would have merited 5 stars, but my most recent experience (first in the last year) would have merited 3 stars.

Pros: This is a restaurant that is actually amenable to conversation - reasonable acoustics are ever harder to find in Seattle. Dishes that come out as intended can be quite amazing (I've had great fish, chicken, and shellfish dishes here in the past). I usually have great experiences with the chefs choice / family style meal. This had been one of my favorite places for business dinners with 4-6 people, but it also works well for other occasions.

Cons: My most recent meal here had significant service issues. Very slow and many dishes didn't make it to the table at their best. Think salad that had seemed to have been plated earlier in the day, apps that should be served at room temperature that came straight from a fridge (cold plate and all), and pasta that had cooled to room temperature by the time it made it to the table. Fortunately, the main course (seared black cod) was perfect. I hope that this was just an off night for the restaurant.

Ordered chicken & waffles (both of us), waffle was moist vs. crisp and fresh. Gravy was salty and lukewarm. Poached egg over cooked. Entirely a disappointment. Asked for crisp bacon, had to send back because it wasn’t crisp. Will not return for brunch and likely not consider for dinner even though we got engaged at this location when it was 35th St. Bistro 7 years ago.

We had eaten here before, and had a wonderful dinner. Good food, service and atmosphere.

However, this time around, the food was very disappointing. Service and atmosphere were still great (we had the same server) but it was as if they had a substitute chef for the night, and her or she did not have the cops for the job.

The family style food was really good but it used to be a much better value. Now at $48 pp it’s a little much but the bottle of at $40 still is a good value. Portions were plentiful and service very friendly. We’d definitely return but maybe just order off the a la cartel menu.

This is the first time I’ve been to agrodolce for lunch, but not my first visit. The food was at most fair - my frittata seemed like it was leftover from a few days prior, as it was rubbery and bland. The bacon was dry and overly salty. Even the side salad was overdressed with what like only lemon juice.

The service was good given I think there were only 2-3 staff there.

I will Try agrodolce again but would be hesitant to try again for lunch or brunch.

We usually love Agrodolce, but this was definitely not our favorite visit, mostly because of the service. There was one dish neither of us liked that well; it had a sour palate, which we noticed was the dominant flavor on the menu in general. The real problem was our server, who meant well but seemed off. He said several brusque things that could hit you the wrong way if you let them, comments about being the "late reservation" (why is that time slot available if it's an issue?) and trying to get us to order less without knowing us and our palate and how much we eat (Really? servers never talk the bill down ... ) In the end, we ordered everything we wanted and ate it all, as usual, except the last bit of the dish we didn't like. At one point, our server came to the table smelling strongly of the cigarette he just smoked. Smoke just does wonders for the taste buds ... We both left with a not-great feeling. This was supposed to be our romantic Valentine's dinner the day after. We won't be back for awhile.

Although some of the appetizers were good or very good (hello polenta fries with aeoli) the main courses were disappointing at best. The Chicken Piccata, instead of the classic thin and delicate scallops in lemon sauce, was a huge half of a roasted bird with little or no lemon or caper flavor. The Eggplant Lasagna came with a steak knife which should have been a warning that the dish would be inedible with or without a sharp implement. And when the chocolate cake with freeze dried strawberries arrived my dining partner and I had two word after taking one bite: “Devil Dogs.” Although the chef owner has some serious cooking cred, we suspect she is no longer spending much time on her home turf and her restaurant really misses her!

I took my Wife to Agrodolce for her birthday. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, our meal (grilled octopus, coffee pasta, and pork loin entrees) was cooked to perfection and served comfortably in succession. Our waiter was friendly and helpful in suggesting the right portions. We will definitely return again the next time we are in Fremont!

We went for our anniversary. It was Seattle's 2019 Snow day. We had made a reservation, but it wasn't necessary. Nobody was going out in that weather! We showed up and were 2 of 6 people in the restaurant. (A few more filtered in throughout the next couple hours). The downside was the entire front-end was staffed by one guy. He was delightful, but it was a good amount to keep up on. Food came out promptly though, so that was nice! Of course it was all delicious, we ordered two small pasta plates and both were impeccable. Pasta cooked to perfection, the right levels of sauce. Warm and hearty on a cold winter night.

Well fooey...we had dined here once before and as vegans, we were THRILLED that we had found a place where we could enjoy so many choices alongside our meat-eating friends - we returned this weekend and it was night and day - the food was bland for the most part - the appetizers over salty and overall, while the service was friendly and the ambiance is magical, we realized we probably would not give it another try :(

Service was attentive, yet causal. The food was special and very representative of southern Italy. freshly made pasta's were light and the sauces nuanced. Wines were a bit on the expensive side which is the only mark down for this delightful restaurant.

Bustling night so mostly dealt with the host. They were super busy so not very attentive which is understandable. Our server was great, but had lots of tables so understandably did the best they could. Food took quite a while, 45min or so after ordering for the first plate, but again understandable. Food quality was unimpressive. Fact is I know they could do better on a slower night because while the dishes were solid in design they were just poorly executed. One pasta was undercooked and one over cooked. Octopus was great, but the accompanying salad was under seasoned. Cocktails were very, very good. Lots of tables around us seemed visibly upset, but the restaurant was clearly understaffed so I get it. My guess is it was just a rough night. We will likely try it again on a slower night.

Used to be really strong menu throughout. Some dishes were lovely, some were less than mediocre this visit. Disappointing to say the least, but sounds like it might be a trend based on other reviews?!? This used to be a favorite backup neighborhood restaurant (when there's too long a wait elsewhere). Now, not sure I'd bother to go back again.

Good date spot, great service, and nice ambience. The food however, not really worth it, or actually good at all. The menu is clearly well thought out and updated regularly to reflect the season or the chef's ideas. The execution was poor, and the two entree dishes I shared with my date were room temperature or cold. The flavor combinations were weird too, somewhat bland or acidic, when I would expect savory tasty, buttery/salty for an Italian place. I wasn't 100% sure that the meat was actually cooked all the way through. The staff were super nice, and in the interest of making it a good date I did not voice my complaints to the staff.

Food was good but overall a disappointing experience and unfortunately, I would not recommend to a friend. We understand that New Years Eve is a busy night, but the restaurant was just so unorganized and unable to handle it...and they even had a pre fix menu! We had a reservation (8:15) which we were about 10mins late for (we called ahead to let them know) but we still had to wait about 25 mins for our table. We asked if we could sit at the bar and have a glass of wine while we waited but we were told there was no bartender. When we were finally sat we were squeezed between two tables who both were frustrated that they had not received their appetizers yet. When our server finally came to take our order, we were told that the kitchen ran out of the meat course... which only left a vegetarian dish and fish dish. Then when it was time for that course they ran out of the fish but “found” more of the meat dish that they were previously out of. Each course took so long to arrive that by the dessert course it was almost 11pm and we felt like the servers were rushing us out. We even overheard the servers joking about how quickly they could clear out their tables. We really wanted to like this place because of the housemade pasta but unfortunately it wasn’t worth it.

We have gone to this restaurant several times and often have done the chef's choice tasting option or, on New Year's Eve, the prix fixe menu. We have found the food wonderful in the past, but the last few visits have left us disappointed. For $75 per person, we expected tastier, exceptional food. The octopus first course was the best of the four courses, with the octopus tender. The pasta dish was just okay, with the taste too sweet for me. The lamb shoulder was tender, but bland and the sauce it was served on was chilled. My wife had the same experience with the Arctic char: the fish was well prepared, but it was served on a chilled sauce. My dessert (walnut tort) was dry.

Our server was the highlight of the evening, witty and helpful, but for these prices, we can do better elsewhere. It is a true shame, since we used to enjoy this restaurant a great deal.
