Disappointed. Have dined there previously (prior to their switch to more small plate styled) and much preferred that approach.
Had an early dinner on a busy Friday evening. The whole meal was fabulous - delicious flavouring and very innovative. Would definitely return!
Best meal in Victoria hands down.
Cute snacks and flavour bomb mains stole the show. The octopus was insane! Many thanks to Celia for the excellent service and natural wine recommendations. Kudos for having Eric rodenz champagne. Will have to get next time 😀
We both ordered the four course tasting menu which was sooooo much food for the both of us. Maybe good for some big guys but we were feeling done after the first two courses. The staff was very accommodating and slowed down the last two courses for us. Two women who hadn’t seen each other for six years so we had lots to talk about over the three hours we were there.
Dinner was so good that we went back for brunch the following morning.
Food was phenomenal. Service didn’t match - very little energy or excitement. Perhaps the espresso machine was down?
Food was very imaginative and lively, strong on local ingredients and fresh, in-season items. Service was professional, although our server was a bit rushed considering the place was full on a Saturday night - could have used a bit more staff. Wine and cocktails were limited but well curated - first time I have had a Lebanese Syrah (and it was good)! Ambience suffers a bit from the restaurant being an extension of the bakery and lunch café up front - personally I would have liked it to be a bit quieter in keeping with it being an upscale dinner venue but it works and value is excellent.
Agrius is my "go-to" place for brunch. Service is great, and the homemade bread, jams, ketchup and hot sauce makes this spot a step above other restaurants. The menu is really interesting, and it is part of the space of Fol Epi - one of my favorite bakeries. Reservations definitely recommended.
the restaurant changed menu what was a really good menu to smaller but more expensive dishes. really not a good move. two of us went and were both surprised and not impressed. My past 4 food experiences there were really good. Now I will have to reconsider if I will go again
We had the kitchen menu and everything we were served was exceptional: flavour, and presentation especially. We also chose to have the bartender curate drink pairings to match and it was well worth it. The drinks were thoughtfully chosen, and totally delicious. All in all, a special dinner out that surpassed our already high expectations. Would recommend and will definitely visit again.
Exceptional, accessible fare in an elegantly casual setting.
Agrius includes the Fol Epi bakery and their organic pastries are outstanding. Their breakfast strongly reminds me of high-end restaurants that have the budget and the will to wow the guests.
Agrius was as amazing as always - inspiring food , presentation , service .
Loved the food and our server. He was very articulate about the wine and food.
Lived up to the hype! Selected the 12 course tasting menu and all except one dish were memorable.
Great food in a quaint little nook behind a coffee bar. A bit cramped but service and food (and drinks!) make up for it. Wonderful meal
All dishes were great. Best pork belly I have ever had on XO fries rice.
Overall really good. Some dishes we ordered were a bit underwhelming in taste and value but no complaints really. Great service, beautiful restaurant
Everything was great! A staple in Victoria, I make sure to visit every time I’m in town. Warm, prompt service. Can’t wait to come back!
The food was incredible as was the service. We’ve been there twice now and will be back for sure!
We love coming here and the food is always fantastic but this time the food was totally under-seasoned, almost no salt added. I have never felt like I needed to add salt at Agrius so I was surprised. My mushroom scramble was also really watery. It felt as though no one was tasting as they were cooking. Quality check by our server was also late and it was hard to get anyone’s attention in order to ask for salt.
We ordered the Classic Breakfast with sausages. I ordered my eggs soft scrambled and they were perfectly cooked. The bread they use for the toast is amazing and the jam ( homemade Strawberry Raspberry) was so delicious, not too sweet, slightly tart, I would have bought some to take with me if they sold it by the jar. I also had a Lemon Blueberry Muffin and a lovely piece of Pumpkin Pie. We will go back for sure!
All food was delicious and though fully prepared/arranged. Always love Agrius and their seasonal, fresh ingredients.
We reserved for dinner at Agrius on a Friday night. We had eaten there a few years earlier and not really enjoyed the food, too "meat oriented". But to our very pleasant surprise, the menu was so much improved. There are vegetarian options, as well as lots of meat options, the food was very well prepared and the servers were friendly, funny and generally made people feel at ease. We liked the buzz of the room and the overall feel of the place. I recommend reservations for weekend evenings, as every table was full. Great addition to the Victoria dining scene, a relaxed but sophisticated dining experience. Highly recommend.
The food was very good - although there are no real metres. The portions are small allowing for guests to enjoy 4 courses. However, it was a little pricey as a result.
I have been for a variety of different meals and Agrius has never disappointed. Always a great meal and excellent service.
A wonderful meal with some inventive dishes. Great flavours, a commitment to the unexpected. I wish the wines for the pairings were a bit more robust.
Always great to dine at Agrius! Our favourite spot in Victoria.
Agrius is my favorite place to go for brunch. Everything is homemade — right down the ketchup, jam and hot sauce. Service is attentive, coffee is full bodied and the food is simply amazing. Bread is from Fol Epi which is open to the restaurant and is beyond delicious. I also appreciate they take reservations as standing in line for food is a huge pet peeve. Thanks for delivering top quality food and service.
We tend to eat out A LOT. We are also vegan so it can be difficult to find restaurants that accommodate our diet. I always say a sign of a great chef is when they can just "create". Well, they certainly delivered. Would not hesitate to go back, recommend to friends and family and take another client there for dinner. So wonderful!
Fantastic food that never disappoints. The only breakfast place that you can reserve to avoid waiting in line and probably the best eggs benny in town.
Exceptional, welcoming service. Amazing food and cocktails. A perfect night out. Our server made it even better...she was our favorite thing about Victoria.
They’ve changed the menu and everything is now shared plates. The food is excellent. I just don’t like sharing.
Excellent service, delicious food... My first time for dinner.. although I’ve been several times for lunch. I appreciate the limited menu as everything on it seems well thought out and the few items we had were outstanding!
The kitchen tasting menu was the best meal I’ve ever had.
Great locally sourced menu, unique creative dishes, absolutely delicious. Service was great and cocktails are on point.
Did the kitchen menu. Super fun and creative would definitely recommend.
Great choices for food and drink. A bit noisy but its a small place. Good vwgetarian food too.
Best breakfast in recent history! Food was amazing - especially the smashed potatoes and toast with homemade raspberry jam. Fabulous!
A touch expensive. Food was good and atmosphere also good
