   We had a great anniversary dinner. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Our waiter was attentive, professional and provided excellent recommendations. The food was outstanding. We caught the end of happy hour with a couple drinks and appetizer.

   Took some out of province visitors for dinner. Our wait staff was outstanding. Very helpful with wine selection, great knowledge of menu items and attentive without being obtrusive. The mains took a little longer to arrive than what we expected as it was a fairly quiet Monday night. That being said, the food was tasty, and nicely presented. The steak was done as requested and the arctic char had a light coating (although a little salty) and was not over cooked. A small dessert disappointment with the pastry on the espresso tart as apparently the regular pastry chef was away. The creme brûlée was great with a well executed caramelized crust and a not too sweet custard. We would come back as we'd be eager to try more of the menu items. thanks!

   As usual the service excellent, the food was excellent. We love the brassiere. The only thing was it was very cold inside and I had to leave my jacket on. It a hard time of year to regulate temperature but it was just too cold

   The staff were attentive and available. They recognized that I had been there before and was bringing a new guest from Toronto. My friend LOVED the Restaurant and is planning on bringing her family to dine at the Brasserie in June… plus the food was fantastic. You are my new favourite Restaurant.***** 5 STARS

   Service was slow due to being understaffed. Our server was good and attentive when she had the time. This is on management not the server due to staffing. Our server also had not support. We were very disappointed with the food. Octopus was overcooked and fishy tasting. Not sure what the sauce with the octopus was but not good at all. Scallops were underwhelming. Calamari tasted like the fryer oil hadn’t been changed in weeks. The fries with the steak frites were overcooked and crunchy (they did bring more once we could get someone’s attention) steak was good. The trout special was bland and vegetables and potatoes were mushy and overcooked. The tartare was the only good part of the meal and the bourbon sours were tasty :) We decided not to chance ordering dessert so we went elsewhere.

   Excellent meal with a decent variety of mains and a good selection of starters. I had the duck pasta, which was made exceptional by the very rich wild mushroom flavour of the sauce. The wine list was very good and well priced.

   My server was lovely. I was on my own and was originally seated in the middle of the restaurant but my server asked if I would be more comfortable at a table more tucked away, which I really appreciated. The meal was tasty and all the staff I interacted with were kind and attentive.

    We ordered an appetizer (charcuterie board for two), and it was really good. We were very impressed. My wife ordered the seafood of the day (Arctic Char) and it was very good. She was happy with the fish and the vegetables. I ordered the burger (the menu item, not the burger week special one). I asked to not have the garlic aioli. My burger was good, except that it was coated with the aioli that I had asked not to be included (I scraped it off as best I could, and left the bun that had been coated with it). Also, the frites were not hot, and they were well overcooked, so I left 80% of them on the plate. So, you get two out of three .... a good shared appetizer; a really good seafood special, and an abysmal burger and fries.
