We were at Agora for brunch. (We have dined at Agora several times, but this was our first brunch experience.) The food was tasty and imaginative. Unfortunately, it was also cold, hardly satisfying for french toast or hash. The first cup of hot water for tea had to be sent back because unidentified specks were floating in it; I didn’t drink my coffee refill because the cream, rather than dissolving into the coffee, glopped on the surface (don’t know why this happened only with the second cup.) We didn’t make a fuss because we were old friends meeting after a very long separation and wanted to concentrate on catching up, not on kitchen complaints. Oh well.
Great food and environment. Would recommend getting 3 plates per person and going with a larger group to try a lot on the menu.
Excellent cold, dry martini.
Great. Small portions so we ordered a few different things and shared. It was great.
Excellent service!! Had a great time
Overall we had a nice evening. Our waitress was excellent. She was there when we wanted to order the next set of tapas, and did not rush us through what was a leisurely meal. Me cocktail, “sticky fingers” was delicious. The food was mixed, some of it delicious, the other just average. I would return.
I’ve been dining at Agora for several years and love it. This particular visit it was very noticeable that some things had changed...smaller portions and some service slowness and repeated incorrect items brought to table.
Best bottomless brunch in DC. Highly recommend to all.
One of the best bottomless brunches in all of Washington DC.
Food was delicious! Every single small plate that they brought to the table was amazing! The fresh warm homemade pita was to die for! Can’t wait to go back!
Shareable plates so you can try everything! Delicious dinner with family.
As always, Agora did not disappoint. The food is always delicious and the service excellent!
Loved the place !
Zeyneb was attentive and took good care of us,will be back :)
Delicious food, very prompt service and affordably priced. Would recommend.
Relaxed and hip space, atmospheric, festive with excellent food. Very copious tapas! And delicious - eggplant with lamb, cauliflower and short ribs delicious. Spread sampler is a fabulous way to start meal. Rarely return to same restaurant in DC bc there are too many to try - agora is the exception. I already have my next res lined up!
This place was outstanding. I loved every dish we got. Would definitely come back again.
We sat outside and had a lovely time with the weather in the upper 60s, very attentive service and tasty food.
Small space, so reservations is a must. Service and food were excellent. The food is tapas style, but still easily shareable.
Vacationing. Found restaurant online and were thrilled we did. Delicious food, with tapas-sized portions that made trying a few options possible. Great service - attentive without being overbearing. Only slight drawback is the small two-person table s that can make it difficult to have several plates at the same time. But all the good definitely made up for this small issue. Would recommend in a heartbeat!
The small plates are generous and generally delicious. The bread is puffy arrives hot and full of steam. We had lamb two ways; one order or chops and one of ribs. They were both very tasty in different ways. The ribs are softer and a bit fattier. My only criticism was that I thought all the food was too heavy on salt. However, I will come back again and again.
Agora’s brunch is absolutely wonderful. It’s a great mix of Mediterranean fare along with your more traditional brunch items. Would highly recommend, and while it is a little noisy it would be great for a date!
We have brunch and the food was excellent
Highly recommend the mushrooms and scallops. One downside was the food came out very quickly for small plates leaving our table jam packed and some food getting cold.
We love Agora! We’ve come a handful of times for the bottomless brunch and it’s our favorite spot.
Great option for pretty authentic Turkish food. Service was a little slow in trying to get refills and check. Like a lit of restaurants, they tend to forget about you once your food is served. But the food was worth all that. If you're in DC, try it out. It was a taste of home for me!
A great place for traditional exceptionally Greek and Mediterranean food. We initially had to wait a bit for our cocktails (we were a group of 8) but then the service become prompt and attentive as small dish after small dish were brought to the table. Very good wine list. Would highly recommend.
Food was fabulous! Service was horrible. Waitress took forever to come to our table. Never returned to see how our meals were or refill our drinks...had to ask 2 times for our check and that took another 15 mins to get. Not sure why the food & service don't match but if that wasn't the case this place would have received 5 stars.
lots of fun. Great local place for large or small groups
The food was great as well as the service
Agora was fantastic, food was delicious as always, and they were super accommodating when I moved up the reservation time and added a few people for my engagement party. Zainab was a fantastic server - would absolutely recommend for any event, date, or brunch!
Outstanding as always.
Waited 30 min after our reservation time to get seated.
Mom came to town and I’ve been here a few times so I made a reservation here!
The food is always amazing!
We split hummus, and I got sishito peppers (best flavoring I’ve ever tasted) and the octopus! All amazing!! My mom got the lamb chop which she liked but not as good as the other dishes she said!
Service was quick! Got this pink cocktail which was great and flavorful !
We even took something to go and the server accidentally threw it away so the kitchen made it new for us!
So nice and great experience !
We came for brunch and our server was overwhelmingly absent for the duration of our meal. We had to request that she come to our table through another server, and each time she came back she was rude. There was also hair in one of our dishes. Wouldn’t recommend.
Great boozy brunch with endless food items from the menu. Love the fresh pita, hummus, sujuk (Turkish sausage), truffle deviled eggs, kasik salad, goat cheese with honey, pide (flatbread), baklava French toast, and Bloody Mary’s. We ate and ate, left happy and super full!
One of my favorites in DC. Every time i end up gushing about food, drinks and service. If its good weather, sit outside!
Great fresh flavors.
Amazingly quick service.
Friendly and accessible. Small plates are native to Greece so this works. Non Mediterranean dishes on menus do not.
