Great brunch and service
The bottomless brunch is so fun and great for a big group!
Fantastic service and commitment to a wonderful get-together with friends in town. Food was amazing and the drinks ever-flowing
We went for dinner with our one-year old. The staff is incredibly welcoming to babies and little children as well as the rest of the guests. They are in good spirits, and accommodating. Super friendly and kind. The food is delicious! We had short ribs and steak and devoured both! Even our baby ate the short ribs and made content sounds (and she is a fickle eater). We also had fried Brussel sprouts which aren’t battered, just simply fried. Delicious! We also had a kasik salad, tuna tartare, the yogurt spread with pita bread, and chef’s borek. It was all divine. I definitely recommend for dates, special occasions, etc.
Some members of our party of 4 had dietary restrictions. The staff was most accommodating. Our food arrived on time and was delicious. It was quiet and we asked for a table toward the back. Being able to converse in a restaurant is as important as any cuisine!
Wonderful unique brunch.
We found this restaurant heading to sushi next door. We love Mediterranean food so we wanted to give it a try - on a full stomach you should note! Got the hummus, dolmades, and lamb chops. Hummus was excellent. More tahini flavored than others but we like that. Domades were good. Lamb chops were excellent but only received two for an expensive price tag. Would definitely go back more hungry!
Agora is a hidden gem of Dupont Circle’s restaurant scene. The food is incredible, flavorful, and surprisingly reasonable. My husband and I came here for our 1st wedding anniversary and we ordered 2 drinks, 6 tapas plates, and a dessert. All of this came to a total of $106. For DC, that’s amazing!! We LOVED it here!
The food was truly wonderful in all ways. I have no complaint and would recommend the food without hesitation. The service however was terrible. The waiter was fine, but I only wish Mcdonalds would provide service as fast as we were fed and dismissed at Agora. Within 5 minutes of placing our order our food began arriving in machine gun speed and we were so overwhelmed with the food arriving so quickly that there wasn't even room on the table to place the dishes! We had no opportunity to catch our breath, have dinnertime conversation and sip our drinks and wine. The entire meal for 7 of us was completed in one hour from the time we sat til the time we left. Not what we had planned for a night out dining. This was a special dinner for our son's birthday, and he has been begging to get us to this restaurant for a year. The staff knew it was a special occasion and yet we were hurried through dinner in an extremely hurried manner.
Agora has to be THE best restaurant we have EVER dined at in DC.. flavorful tapas and excellent service. We have never been disappointed. Thank You Agora
Good experience. Friendly staff. Good portions. Well lit environment and the perfect ambiance. Will come again.
Lovely mezze, friendly and welcoming place, and fun to sit outside on a beautiful night. Will definitely return.
I opted to make a reservation for the restaurant and, upon arrival, we were immediately seated with no wait time. We were asked whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. Due to the extreme humidity that night, we opted for an inside table. We were walked to the left side of the interior, through a door, and seated close to the door. Unfortunately, this door's auto-close mechanism was broken, causing the door to constantly stay open, as the staff hurried through the door every few minutes to serve the outside patrons.
This, however, was our only gripe with our whole visit. Our table was split with 2 separate waiters helping us out. The service was prompt with alcoholic drinks were the only part that took a little longer to get to us than expected. I think they only have one bar for the whole restaurant. Not a deal breaker, however.
Now, to the food. Their structure is to serve small plates of food, so that you can get a few different things off the menu and try out other items. My wife and I really enjoyed this, as we had a chance to taste their hummus, 2 different types of flat bread, some chicken and their lamb ribs. Absolutely fresh and delicious food. I totally understand why they are so busy, as the food is to die for. We ended the night with some Greek donuts, Baklavah and some Uzo and left the restaurant happy as can be.
Kudos to the chef(s) and the waiters for a mere perfect experience. Just get the owner to fix that darn door and it would have been a 5 star visit. Still, I'd recommend them to all friends and family.
Nice ambiance with okay service
Wonderful service and amazing food!
Had a reservation and still had to wait 25 minutes even though there were empty tables everywhere. Waiter took 15 minutes to greet and take initial drink orders. Customer service here is never a priority which is unfortunate because it’s a great value and meal!
Amazing bottomless brunch! Both food and drinks are bottomless and so yummy.
Excellent ME food. Haunts you the next day
Perhaps the best mediterranean food I've had in the DC area. Service is exceptionally friendly.
My favorite place for Sunday brunch; they never disappoint!
it was f-ing bomb. food amazing as ALWAYS, service was amazing, waiter was a second late with my sparkling water so he comp'd it AND gave us free dessert i mean come on how could it get any better than that?!?!?!?! 10/10 would recommend this dope, delicious establishment!
Lovely place for outdoor dining on a pleasant evening -- and fast service if you're going to the theater!
Food was delicious, great selection of wine, server was attentive, great location and atmosphere:-)
Wonderful experience. Delicious food, gracious service. Everyone in our party of six enjoyed our dinner at Agora. Will definitely return next time I’m in DC.
Great food and service!
The waiter/bartender John (sp?) was charming and attentive, anticipating our needs and requests well and pouring bottomless mimosas like it was his expertise--which it may have been. I had been before in May but this time was even tastier than before. It made for an excellent last-minute birthday party and we all left feeling full and happy with the experience.
Always a great place to brunch. Great service and excellent food.
Agora is one of my favorite restaurants. We come back repeatedly. The food is always so good. I crave it.
Service is always great with friendly attentive staff. Wonderful.
Fun meal and drinks in a really noisy atmosphere. Brunch was going on, but we ordered from the regular list of mezze.
Turkish food is delicious and easy to accommodate many different tastes. I love the spreads and the basket of warm and fresh pide.
The price was high for the quantity and quality that they offer. The waiter did not pay much attention and it was a bit rude. Moreover, the tip should be choosen by the client or guest and not be assumed by the waiter.
Maybe it was an off day, but the service was slow and just...not good. They forgot the entire order for one of our guests and she never got it. Frankly ridiculous and I was really looking forward to it! Bummed.
Brunch was a bust.... one hour into brunch and we only had one drink. Our glasses (water too) were constantly empty. We didn't receive quite a few of the dishes we ordered. And when they sent us stuff we didn't order (like 6 plates of deviled eggs), they refused to take them back. I definitely will never be back.
Great service as always!!!
Such good food!!!
Our food was delicious, unfortunately the service was terrible.
Wonderful friendly, helpful, and professional server. Terrific food. Energetic, fun atmosphere. We will definitely return!
Food very good, service very good. Too loud for us
EVERY SINGLE DISH WAS DELICIOUS!!!!
Friendly personable waitstaff, flavorful dishes, great wine!!!!
Great Mediterranean inspired small plates and relaxing ambiance.
It was ok... we would go there again if someone asked us too, but not on our own again
