Delicious variety of food with an attentive server!
Fantastic service and just a great overall experience. Highly recommended.
We had to wait over 10min for our table to be available and that’s after being 10min late for our reservation.
Total wait was over 20min from reservation time to get seated.
Not the best scenario
But food was great and atmosphere too!
The food at Agora was delicious, little tapas size dishes with lots of variety. However, because all the food came out very close together the tiny table for two that we had was really impossibly small.
It was ok. Food quality for small small small and pricey... food was not bad.
Everything was perfect but we felt like the staff wanted us to leave around 9 even though your closing time is 10 on Sunday because we were the last people there
If there is an option of giving negative review, this would be the one. There is definitely attitude issue. Put us to a table in the far corner next to the hvac venting system, when our reservation is 11am when the restaurant just opened and the restaurant was almost empty. So obviously no view or ambience. No one offered water or helped us order food for 20 minutes. But what annoys the most is that when four Caucasian people seated at the table next to us later, they were attended very quickly. And the waiter still ignored us after taking order from the next table. We had to wave and call a few times, almost needed to stand up and walk to the waiter to order. Food turned out to be very mediocre, everything is made of cheap components, nearly no meet at all. For 34.99, the value is for sure nonsense.
Service and food were superb!!!
We went for our anniversary. The ambience, food and service were very good. Wine was a little expensive but they had half price bottles that day so it worked out very nicely. Will definitely go back.
Although food were delicious, service was great but Portions were so stingy that you need to order a few things to be able to have enough for lunch! If you spend $50 for lunch you would like to be full not room for more food....
Food is fantastic but seating for 2 can be improved.
The four in our group ordered eight different items and all were well prepared and flavorful. We also ordered some Turkish wines (never had one) and they were very good and paired well with the food. We will return to order some of the many other interesting menu items.
Took my foody 22yo son... the drinks and wine selection was great... the small plates we’re generous portions and tasty.
Could use some better deserts ideas. Service and Valet.... perfect
Overall four of us had a great time at Agora on a quiet Monday night. Food items are a bit variable in quality and value. For example the short ribs begendi was perfect, with just the right smokiness to the eggplant sauce; roast chicken very tasty, sucuk flatbread very good; fried brussels sprouts very nicely done. On the other hand, the adana kebab should be more peppery, the duck flatbread was a bore with not much evidence of the "fig balsamic and fresh tarragon." Quantities vary too: dolmades was four pieces but only pencil-thin; on the other hand brussels sprouts were generous and all of the meat dishes we had were good portions, actually larger in fact than they first appeared. Service was excellent; there is a good wine list (bottles half-price on Mondays); the ambience is very modern but cozy, depending where you're sitting.
Loved the food and the fabulous service. Can’t wait to go again.
Mezze plates were innovative and tasty. Service was very attentive.
We had a great time! Food was great and they were able to accommodate us with the high chair we needed. Food was delicious and service was great.
Annoying and interruptive server
Very loud music
Best thing was the food
I was inviting some friends out for dinner. Party of 6. We got some tapas which were good and we were pretty full after the appetizers. We ordered mixed grill for 3 people since everyone was full. He ended up bringing us seafood platter for 6 people. 3 trays each serve 2. Not what we ordered. $150 dollar error. Bill came out to be 700 dollars for Turkish tapas in Tysons (not NYC) way overpriced. Wait staff was insistent we made the mistake. I won’t return
Wonderful Lebanese Cuisine. If we lived close by, this might be our go-to neighborhood restaurant.
Excellent Turkish and Lebanese cuisine, and a beautiful new restaurant in Tyson’s. Food was matched by a solid wine list that also includes some surprisingly impressive wines from Turkey and Greece. Great cocktail list too and reliable and attentive service.
Good value with a variety of interesting small plates
Indifferent service. Server disappeared a few times. Hostess could not locate our reservation and as it turned out had already seated our dining companions under our reservation. Portions are laughably small and we are more than aware of the mezze concept, we would just like more than one thimbleful of hummous.
It’s our first visit and we loved everything we ordered. Will definetly come back👍
We enjoyed our brunch at Agora. Loved that they had complementary valet parking on a Sat afternoon & Christian our server was fabulous! The decor is very nice. We will definitely come back.
We made reservation for 6 pm as there was Happy Hour from 4-6 pm, only thing was we couldn’t get the HH price for
food & drinks @ unless we sat at the bar, which didn’t make sense. Everything else was great !
The waiters/host who served us during the lunch hour were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, atmosphere nice and decor chic! I will frequent this restaurant again. This restaurant made a very nice first impression!
Thanks to Johnathon, our first experience at AGORA was fantastic! He guided us thru the menus. My gf is always eager to know what the best and most popular dishes are and he was about to assist clearly. After getting to know him he mentioned he was there for such a short time but we felt the opposite. From the door to the table, everything was warm and welcoming.
When we come back, I'll ask for Johnathon again but we will be earlier for Brunch next time!
Probably won't recommend this place. The food was good but not fantastic and where we sat was dark.
My friend and I were impressed with the ambiance of this restaurant as soon as we walked in. We started our meal with agora's complimentary pita bread, which was so nice & warm and their olive oil dip was also quite nice. We split their sampler appetizer and absolutely loved all three items on it. I had their kofte mezze and while it was pretty delicious, I wish that they made it a larger plate for a slightly higher price (you only get three pieces of kofte meatballs). My friend ordered their kasik salad with shrimp add-on and sadly it was super salty for her. Their manager came over promptly and agreed to have it remade, but the saltiness did not go away when it was remade - she did not want to be "that" customer so she decided to finish her salad anyway. We had a nice and attentive server, but the breaks in between checking in on us were lengthy at times. I finished my meal with their Turkish coffee which is quite affordable.
We had 5 different dishes and all were just ok, none had much taste.
Second time here was as wonderful as the first! Dining with my BF, I had a chance to taste several more dishes than the first solo time around. The dishes we enjoyed were: Karni yarik (fried baby eggplant a wonderful Sujuklu pide (spicy Turkish beef sausage, mozzarella tasty Hellim cheese with fig jam (would have preferred if it had been served at a warmer temp); always terrific Falafel; excellent Ottoman Rice; tender grilled octopus; and meaty short ribs. We over-ordered, but every dish was composed nicely with different herbs and spices. It all went down well with their Mediterranean G our server did oftentimes ask how we were enjoying the food. As had been noted in another review, there is no need to re-hash the menu to diners if you're not elaborating on any item in particular. Most diners are familiar by now with the small plate concept. If not, they will ask for guidance. Overall, a great addition to the burgeoning Tysons area.
The food is good but this place is more expensive than yelp suggests
Great ethnic food selection and dining atmosphere. Will return.
It was eh. Food was decent but pricey. Neat décor but poorly lit and tables are very close to each other making for a crowded feeling.
This was my second time at Agora, Tysons. The first time was for dinner around the time of its initial opening. The service at my initial visit was extremely poor, but I decided to give Agora Tysons a 2nd chance given the restaurant was still getting up and running.
Last weekend, I made reservations for my sisters and I to go to brunch before we went for a dress fitting for my older sister's wedding. While the food and ambiance were excellent, the service, once again, was horrible! There waiter refused to communicate with us unless we initiated the conversation. We found ourselves having to ask for water refills, salt and pepper (as there was none on the table) and cream for our coffee (since the coffees were delivered with only sugar) not once, but multiple times. We ended up having to ask two other people to help us out, who were not our waiter. These were simple requests that our waiter should have already thought to bring us, but would not have been such a big deal if he had simply come to check on us and ask us how we were doing.
Agora Tysons is a place I want to come back to, as the food and ambiance is great; I just hope that management will recognize the flaws in their current servers, and either take the steps to train them correctly, or have them replaced.
Good customer services = higher chance for returning, loyal customers. I hope this sends an appropriate message.
For those of you looking to try out Agora Tysons regardless of reading this review, I hope you have a better experience than I did during my last two visits.
Second time dining, took friends and we were all very pleased with the quality of the food as well as the service and presentation.. Kudos to Chef Ghassan.
Very good thank you
The food is not that good. The kibbe and the falafel were super dry. A bit pricey for mezze style
Too expensive for food provided
